This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I have been harassed by these people too. This has been going on about a month now. The caller states that he is an attorney and needs to know if I am going to pay them money for a debt (that I have never heard of) or go to court. I am 18 yrs old and I have never gotten any kind of loan from anywhere & they are trying to say I owe some Cash Advance Expert $550. Threatened to have the police come to my home and "drag my butt to jail". Also said that if I decide to go to court that it would be extremely difficult for me to prove that I did not receive said money & that it would end up costing me over $2500. I asked for the number for this cash advance place and was given this number. When the guy answered, I asked who I was speaking to. He did not give me the company name, he just got all defensive & trying to act tough, saying he was some "officer of the law", then started cussing me out. These people have all of my information: ss#, bank info, ect.

I just got a call from this random man from Chicago Illinois stating that I owe money that I never Recevied ; he was very rude & when I ask to speak to his manager he told me know and hung up on me ; I didn't quite get his name does anyone happen to know it ? Please reply

Called to tell me I owe money was rude hung up when I asked when this supposed money was loaned to me he said he was an officer of the law and hung up on me??? wtf?

I have no idea who this person is..he was very rude and cussed at me I would like to know who these people are.
