You're right that the do not call list does not apply to charities -- even this one that is probably a fake one.  Even if it is eeal, you know that no policemen are going to see one penny of your donation because it will all go to paying these fundraising telemarketers.

Give them no information. Ask them to immediately remove you from their calling list.  They must comply.  

Write down the "charity" name, number, and the date/time you made this request.  That way when they call back, and they will, you can advise them that they have violated the terms of your agreement and you will report them (to www.donotcall.gov).  They need to be reported so that they can be fined.

FYI ... Do not call list does not apply to "charities".

I've gotten 2 calls from this number, once I answered,told them not to call again, just got another call,didnt answer it, What the heck, so much for "do not call" list..It's Sunday,dont want annoying calls...geezz

get these calls quite a bit, too bad there is a cop station across the street if they need donations i walk over and hand it to them personally . but they don't solicite either nice try guys to many idiots out there to worry about already to smart for you , get a job and stop bugging everyone with this crap!

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

My friends say this is a prank calling number.

THE POLICE DO NOT SOLICIT FOR MONEY OVER THE PHONE.  THE FUNNY  THING WAS ONE TIME SOME FOOL CALLED ME WITH HIS CALLER ID#  AND I REPORTED IT TO THE POLICE AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT AND ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED DONE!  DUH!!!!   IF SOMEONE WAS MISREPRESENTING ME OR USING FRAUD IN MY NAME I'D KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!  THANK FORTUNE FOR CALLER ID.

I am on the do not call registry and I still get these calls!  I wish they would stop.

I got a call from them too. It's a scam.  I would never give out my info or donate money over the phone, or even thru the mail.

Man said he was collecting for I COPS SUPPORT.  He said they help cops?  Wanted my address to send me a sticker and a donation envelope to mail back to them. Never heard of them and I believe they are phony.

The male caller said he represents I COPS SUPPORT and would send me a window sticker to show my support.  He wanted my name and address and said he would send the sticker and a envelope for me to donate to them. I said that most cops have unions and suppoet their members and he said I COPS SUPPORT was for the ones that don't?

Called and left no voicemail.

Don`t know who this is, caller ID says I COPS SUPPORT.
