Keep receiving phone calls from this phone # and asking for my daughter. Other times they are silent and say nothing. I am calling my phone company and getting this number blocked.

Calls day and night. I screen so do not pick up. No reason I should be getting these calls-- all kids grown and on their own.

We contiune to recieve calls from College Experts.  When we pick up no one answers.  The number of calls is becoming exptremely disruptive.  

They call over and over. Finally decided to answer the past few calls but they hang up!! How crazy and annoying.

After dozens of calls, I told them to remove me from their list.  They then switched to prank calls to harrass me.  Worst of the worst...

Ok the same thing has happened to me as well, the man on the phone asks for my mom or dad and I asked who they were and why they needed to talk to them and the man just said "have a good day" and hung up

We have been receiving multiple calls daily from them and late into the evening. I answered the phone twice last night, no response. Called again this morning, they hung up and I called back. I patiently waited on hold until I received the message "goodbye" as well. I have blocked their number but I am sure they have more than one. I think i need my whistle to teach them a lesson.

My experience is very similar to all those listed above. A very rude young man who identified himself as "Steve" said my child had checked off a box asking that someone contact her about SAT study materials. The more questions I asked, the angrier he became. I finally told him I needed to ask my daughter about this, and when I came back on the phone, I could hear him making frustrated noises. He hung up on me when I asked him to send us something my email or snail mail. I contacted Sharon Lavalle at the College Board website who confirmed what I thought which is that they never provide identifying data about their students to companies. She did say that lots of scams spring up this time of year targeting college bound students who are taking these tests. The Florida Attorney General's Office took their number and I am filing a complaint with the FL Dept of Consumer Services. Also, I called the Illinois Attorney General's Office (they did not seem concerned in the least) and are having them send me a no call form and a complaint form. They said they can't do anything about it until I return the form. Honestly, I didn't get the impression that this type of thing was a priority for them. The woman at the College Board seemed more concerned and took their number as well. I"m wondering if you actually have to be a victim of the scam, rather than recognizing it, for the legal authorities to act on the information. How sad.

I had the same experience, totally and utterly rude. When I asked who they were, wouldn't say. There are a LOT of these types of calls that come from 630. I am on ALL the DND and DNC lists...wth.

These people, identified as College Experts on the caller ID, call multiple times a day and in the evening at the dinner hour. I finally decided to pickup the phone in order to find out exactly who they are and what they want and to tell them NOT to call us anymore--to take our number OFF their list. They offer SAT and ACT prep. We'll see now what that does. If they call again, woe is their eardrum.

A man named Jim said that my son requested college prep assistance at college fair or at career event. When I said that my son did not attend any of these events and asked him to remove our number from his list (that was not the first call), he said "go back to Russia." So rude.

This number calls atleast 5 times a day and no one speaks.

Asked for parents of [daughter's name]. I politely asked if they would remove me from their calling list. They said, "Certainly," and hung up. They have called once a day since, except on weekends. I would love to know the jerks who sold my daughter's information to this company. If a company ignores the Do Not Call List, I consider the company not-reputable.

I got a call from this number by a person named ?Jim?.  Said he was with SAT Prep.  I could find very limited info about this ?company?.  When I asked ?Jim? for more specifics he began to spell his name, and the company?s name.  Okay?that was the only clue I needed something was up.  When I said I wasn?t interested and to take me off their call list, he started telling me how bad a father I was, I didn?t want to help my son, etc. etc.  And he would put notes in my file about all of that.

I?m not sure what he was trying to sell.  I didn?t let him get that far.  Not sure how he got my name and number.  Proceed at your own risk.

Call all day long and when u answer no one is there.  Very irritating.

This company calls here very 30 minutes, all day long, and never leaves a voice mail. I have a high school aged child, so I know who they are.

College Experts keeps calling.  I have tried calling them back, get put on hold and then after about 4 minutes they hang up.  If anyone has any advice about how to get them to stop calling it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been getting calls from this number - 630-491-0145 - about every 2 hours for weeks. Since they never left a message I knew it wasn't important. After looking up the number and seeing the "reviews" I decided to answer it, because I wanted to see which school gave out my teenagers information (I have 2 in different High Schools). The guy said his name and employee ID said he was from College Prep and he wanted to speak to the parents of ("horrible mispronunciation of my daughters name"). I asked what it was regarding and when he told me it was for college prep I said we don't need their services and to not call anymore. He kept talking and I more firmly said 'take our name off your list, do not call anymore." He told me to "Hush!" (LOL) and I hung up.  Hush. That's funny.

The person at 630 491 0145 keeps harassing my home by repeatedly calling.  This person calls as late as 9:15 and on Sundays.

I was getting multiple calls a day from College Experts.  Finally answered one just to get them to stop calling.  They were trying to sell software to prepare for SAT.  When I started asking more details about the software, they got rude and said "I already told you everything you need to know."  Eventually they hung up on me when I kept asking questions.  I would not recommend doing business with this company.

i had a similar question - they have repeatedly called and tried to get my 18 year old son to agree to enroll his "little" brother and said for him to get a credit card - R u kidding me?  - I answered today and told him I was "busy" and he said to me ---   "then why the hell did you answer the phone" and hung up on me - I went to the do not call registry and filed a complaint and I tried to call the number and no one answered at all

I answered this call b/c they call multiple times a day and I am tired of it.  I asked who was calling and they asked for one of my son's parents.  I told him that I wanted this number removed they call here several times a day.  That's when he said,"You're rude bi***, I'm going to call you in the middle of the night now." I will be contacting whomever I need to in my state and the FCC to report them, I've never had anyone have the nerve to threaten me like that.

Very rude young (college) sounding kid.  VERY RUDE.  Just prank calling?. calls every day for the last few days.

Same thing here - we would just not answer the calls. I finally answer tonight, told him not to call and he started yelling at me telling me to "shut up, just shut up".   It comes up as "College Experts".  That is a college prep company with a website but hard to know if that is the same company responsible for these call which seem to be coming from a call center.   Two thoughts:  First, I just went on the do not call list and filed a complaint. Maybe if lots of people complain about the same phone number, the govt will do something about it.  Second, this started about a month after our daughter took the PLAN test (practice ACT).  I think those companies sell the list of students who take the test because she has also started getting unsolicited letters from all different colleges. Something should be done to make sure that these companies (who are already making a fortune off of standardized testing fees) are not profiting from selling our children's information.

We get calls from this company nearly every single day. We have asked to have the calls stopped, but to no avail. Most of the time the caller hangs up as soon as you answer.  If you call back, you get put on hold-long distance on your dime-and no one ever ends up talking to you.  You just pay for interminable hold music.
