They're NOT "1 second" phone calls, they're time consuming & annoying as hell!! I get these calls all day long everyday from various companies as well as faxes & emails. When you're trying to do your job and these people continuously call with sales pitches & relentless, rude attitudes it gets very frustrating. I personally, think there ought to be strict laws against this s*** for those of us people (which there are many) that choose not to be bothered by the annoyance! The Do Not Call Registry does nothing to enforce the request(s) to opt out of these calls. It's disgusting!!!!!

Perhaps you need to go to the library as well to learn the difference between your and you're.

Seriously?  Business owners take the time to complain about marketing companies but don't take the time to field a call that "could" help their business (not saying they will) but how do you know?  I am sure business owners get many marketing calls.  To be a SUCCESSFUL business owner stop working IN your business and work ON your business.  Your upset because you had to put down a wrench or pen to answer the phone??????  Tells me your not a good manager or a true business owner, just a pawn in a business you started.  Take control of your business and these phone calls won't upset you.  In fact you will learn more of what it takes to be successful in business.  Now not to say every call will help you in fact most you will just have to say not interested..period...2 seconds hang up the phone.  It is the business owner that is a slave to his company that actually complains about phone calls.  I suggest you go to the library and read "one minute manager"  and stop being an underpaid employee in your company and be a manager of success in your company and you can stop wasting your time stressing over a 1 second phone call from a telemarketer that probably makes more money that you do as a "business owner"

I've received calls repeatedly from Ameribanc for the past 3 weeks.  Each time I ask to please be removed from their call list.  They keep calling.  When I ask to be removed they tell me they will remove my number.  They've also told me they don't have a call list, obviously contradicting themselves.  Today when they called I explained I've been getting calls for 3 weeks and asked what do I to stop receiving calls.  The representative replied, "Well can George Harris come to your home for 15 minutes tomorrow?"  I replied, "Absolutely not."  The representative replied, "Well we all don't get what we want, then do we?"  At this point I was LIVID and hung up the phone.  I'm no longer answering my phone when they call.

Telemarketer call and hang up. We are on the do not call list. They obviously ignored it.

They just called me, (ameribanc) told me about their wireless credit card machine and that the equipment was free. When I kept asking questions, the girl handed me off to her supervisor, he then started stuttering and told me there was a tornado coming and he needed to get off the phone. I googled the number to find out they were in Chicago area, checked the weather, no tornado warnings anywhere in the US. I called the number in a previous post and she pulled my information and told me she would fire the guy who lied to me. Then she asked if I was interested in their offer, I told her I could not do business with them unless she showed me that guy's separation papers. I don't do business with folks who lie to me, and one lier spoiled the whole company in my book that she'd have to prove to me that she was telling the truth before I would consider doing business with them.

I HAVE A QUESTION?  Why can't these people or any organization that operates in this manner be stopped?  I do not need their service and yet they continue to call.  I have been polite.  I have been rude.  I have asked and demanded to be taken off their list.  We pay taxes, why can't these types of firms be stopped?  If I performed in this way I would be in court.  I do not understand this, can anyone make sense of it all?

I WORKED THERE LAST YEAR AND IT WAS HORRIBLE, THEY DO TELL YOU TO CALL AND CALL PEOPLE EVEN IF THEY SAY THERE ARE NOT INTERESTED. THEY TELL YOU TO LIE ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT AND SERVICE AND ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN GETTING THE SALES PERSON OUT TO THE BUSINESS SO THEY CAN SUCKER YOU IN AND STICK IT TO YOU LATER. I HATED WORKING THERE IT WAS THE WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE. I FELT SO BAD TO KEEP CALLING THESE PEOPLE. SO MANY TIMES I WAS TOLD "I'M ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST" AND WOULD TELL A SUPERVISOR AND THEY WOULD NOT EVEN CARE. THEY WOULD STILL LEAVE THEM ON THE LIST.

I got a call from 630-625-7067 and a lady asked for the owner of the company.  I asked what is the purpose of the call.  She hanged up.  What a rude behaviour.  

I myself am working as a telecalling executive.  By their senseless, rude behaviour, they spoil the name of the business, company, and all the sales people.

Sales can be done easily by professional and friendly ethics.  Please don't spoil that.

If you get a call from this number, please blast them for me.  I'm not able to reach them back.

I got a telemarketing call(which I hate) and I told them I was on the Do Not Call List, they explained that the consumer DNC list is not the same as business calls. I called back and spoke to a supervisor that gave me the email address to get off the list, it is

She was polite enough.  She said just put in the phone number and nothing else in the body of the email and it automatically removes the number, she said it only works for one number at time, which is fine, I only have one number.  I sent them email and have not gotten a call since. Finally, Peace and Quiet!

Oops! about the above comments.  Different number.  This number calls me to get me to by their credit card processor even though I have told them I am a one person business owner as a Massage Therapist.  They call at least 4 times a week

These people keep calling me saying that I have won something.  After several attempts to speak to a supervisor and find out exactly what they want, I decided to just not answer this number anymore.  They won't stop calling me
even though I have asked them to take my number off of their list.

Upon seeing the name / number of any obvious telemarketer I answer the phone: "Thank you for calling Microsoft. How may I direct your call" They always hang up.

I've been getting calls from these guys for the last couple of days. I've tried explaining to them that I'm a freelance designer and don't really have a need for a credit card processor. this is the third time they've called and its getting pretty annoying. they are Ameribanc national. Sales guy is Jeru? thomas.

i did a Google search which brought me here before I signed anything. Apparently they've changed their number a little.

Received a terribly rude call and did some research. Apparently the give a low intro price and then hike it up without the customer's knowledge. This is all over the internet. Got their REAL number: 630-307-6507.

They were insanely rude to me.  They call several times a week & wont leave a message with me.  I would like to file lawsuit if it will make them stop calling.

Received repeated calls from Ty Otis.  Many people called throughout the day.  My staff asked them not to call anymore.  They even specifically asked Ty Otis not to call.  They called back today and spoke with me.  I  asked for their phone number.  They gave me a phone number of 218-313-8989.  I asked Ty Otis for the mailing address and he said I could get it tomorrow at the appointment.  I told him I could wait for the address on the phone.  He told me I was making this difficult and I told him that he was required to give me their address.  He then hung up on me.

This company clearly violates US telemarketing laws.

We are on the no call list and wish to report repeated calls

I actually met with a rep from this company today, and bought what she had to offer! A wireless (satellite) credit card terminal for my business. So far it seems like a great deal. Lowest fee's ever quoted, three year lock on terms and fees, no phone line needed (great for art shows) and best of all, the monthly fee for the terminal is about the same as buying a regular (dedicated phone  line) processing terminal. So far so good, I'll make another post here after a few months of service.

Similar to other comments, we've had several calls  from this number. Calls have continued even after requesting to be removed from the call list. Very persistent telemarketer trying to schedule an appointment at my office. Selling credit card and check processing. Services we have NO use for.

Armed with information from whocallsme, I called Ameribanc (630-307-6507) and asked for Brian Riordan, call center director. After several disconnects and "full voice mail" messages, I finally talked to someone who said Mike is no longer with the company. Instead I talked with Cheryl Lewis, the new director. She was pleasant. We determined there are 4 phone lines coming into my business--and we needed to be sure all numbers were removed from their list. She seemed happy to accommodate my request.  We'll see if the calls stop.

My business (a restaurant) got a call from a woman at 630-625-7067 right in the middle of our lunch rush.  I told the person that I was not interested and wanted to be removed from their list and she argued with me.  When I asked her what time it was and did she realize she was calling a restaurant at lunch time, she made a smart remark at which time I hung up.  Can't someone put these people out of business? They did not identify themselves with the name of their business or their purpose within the first 30 seconds.  Thought they were supposed to do that?

I was called again today at 2:11 pm from 630-625-7067 with Ameribanc on the caller ID. The caller asked to speak with the owner. I asked if it was a sales call and she said "No, it is a business call". I do not make purchase or deal with sales on the telephone so I asked to have our number removed from the calling list and was told by the female caller "No, I won't" and she hung up. I have no business dealings with Ameribanc and do not wish to be bothered again.

They call us every other day.  Today a lady called me and asked directly for my husband.  I told her he was not available, but I was his wife and could take a message - she was very rude! demanding to speak to my husband.  I than told her to please take me off her list - at this she became irate! she told me " I did not ask if you were his wife" "I don't care"

? why are these folks in business.

They call us every day at least three times by three different people. They are all rude and they will argue with you. I guess they think if they are rude to you the next time they call you will want to give them your business. These people have no clue! We have taken the advice of Amarillo Business Connection and have filed every report possible! Maybe one day their attitude will put them out of business and none of us have to worry about it any more.

I used to work for this company back when I was really in need of a job.I have a little boy to support and needed to do what I had to to keep us from living on the street...They are Intrusive slimes and drive they're employees based on making appointments with you folks.The telemarketers are people like I just described.So,as I understand your frustration.Please dont kill the messenger,Go after the employer,report them as harassing...Thanks

This place is horrible to work for and yes they teach you to ask for the owner or co-owner. You have a list and call some odd like 200 people a day and are expected to get appointments for their sells men and women. The Ameribanc I worked for sells merchant services. They treat the people who cant make the appointments like crap and in some cases fire you in front of the whole call center. Beware. Some of the kids in this call center are really good at their job and can talk you into anything. They give you the correct information but they twist it so you things that you will get what you want with the sells man or woman trust me I have been there. Horrible job. So dont answer the phone calls for them they dont pay you for this either it seems.

It is a legitmate business.
