I received a phone call from this number that said it was from a Pay Phone.  Will these people stop a nothing?

Just got a call from this number 630-933-9463.  Since I don't recognize the area code, so I didn't answer it.  I did received a similar call last year from this guy who claimed he's the supervisor from "Microsoft", that my computer is running slow and want to help me fixing it by going to this link.  I told him my computer is running fine and hang up on him.

If you're going to try to scam me, at least have the decency to speak intelligible english.

By the way, the caller ID says "Pay Phone".

They must still be getting suckers as I just got a call yesterday with the same message everyone else on this forum has mentioned and it is already 2014!  The woman calling had an Indian sounding accent saying it was about my Windows computer and that they were seeing error messages.  I knew right away that it was a scam since my husband and I own a computer services company and we do our own tech support!  I just hung up on the person.

Any calls from "The Computer Technical Department" or a "Microsoft computer tech" stating something is wrong with our computer  or they've detected activity that you have downloaded a virus...IS A SCAM!

You know, Microsoft would never call you to tell you about problems with your computer.
I get these almost daily. I just like to toy with them and annoy them. LOL

I called the # back and it is disconnected or no longer in service

You can put a block on those numbers so you won't hear them ring. First save the number in your phone book list ... name it something like Spammer. Then click to block it.

I received 3 phone calls, one minute apart, all from the States(I am Canadian), can not call back says not in service except for this number which is registered to a Ronald Jackson. The other 2 numbers where 618-462-3632 and 914-271-9628. Reporting to phone company's and on here and 1800notes.  Also from the other night which was threatening that they knew my plate number and where I was exactly, that number was 1-607-724-9716.  

I got the same call you did.....didn't feel right.  I even turned on my computer to see if I got any warning messages but when he asked me to run and download  - www.goo.gl/399bx in my computer I told him no but must admit I played stupid.  The guy had to tell me the URL a half dozen times.  Partly because I was delaying looking things up online and partly because it was noise in the background and with his accent it was hard to understand.

I have had this call several times lately and nobody is on the other end.

I get a call from this # and he says that he is from Microsft tech department and that his name is John. He says that our computer has a virus and that he would walk us through to help us fix it. He told us to click the keys: windows (the one next to ctrl) and r at the same time. It came up with the run box and he told us to type this in: evend then he hung up. Did he have a indian accent for you cuz he did for me. Lol

I had a call from the same number. It sounded like an Indian person. (I am one).  He started talking in Indian language and I hung up. He called back and started cussing. I Hung up again on him. He kept calling and did not answer. I could see his number on my caller id phone. Nowadays it is difficult to say if the call is from within USA. This is because a product like Majic Jack would be registered in US and could be used to call from anywhere there is an internet!

Caller said his name was Mike Jordon and he was calling from the Microsoft tech Department, apparently my Brand New Comp has a Virus in Microsoft windows and was going to walk me through fixing it.  I made him wait on the line while I pretended to email Microsoft to confirm.  He hung up. lol

Got a call from this number 2:00 in the morning.

Got this telephone call from someone at the 630-933-9463 from Wheaton, IL, stating he was from a "computer technical department" and that they were getting an error(s) report from my computer.  Asking again who he was with, he restated "computer technical department".  I stopped him and asked if he really thought that I would believe him over the phone.  He stated that I did not understand.  Oh, I understand plenty considering he did not ask for me by name.  Relayed to him that he was to take my number off his dialing list, and that if he called back again I would contact the BBB, and the district attorney

Received call from this number (call also came last week from different number regarding same issue with them getting signal from my computer), he knew my name.  When I asked him to identify his company he said " Windows Service Center" in Brooklyn, NY, called id said "Illinois".  I asked him for his phone number so I can call him back, he said Microsoft cannot give phone number to customer because large number of customer base.  He gave me his e-mail as "mswindowspro@live.com"
He was asking me to go online and allow him access to my computer so he can "clean virruses out" & make my computer "ten times faster".

Do not answer this call.

I also received a call from +1-630-933-9463. SCAM!!!! Got these phonecalls from jun 2012 till now.
I live in Holland. I don't pick up the phone anymore.

I got a call from this number saying he was calling from Windows and that he is receiving a lot of error messages from my computer, that this is a warning and that if it continues....... I said, a warning, my computer isn't giving off any warnings. He said, listen to me mam if this continues, you can see on your computer right in front of you....... I just hung up the phone there.

I would call your phone company provider and ask for advice and report it, and report it to the FCC, and also consider changing your number and make sure it is unlisted.

Received a call today from this number. On my caller id it said " pay phone"  and then this number which is unusual as I don't usually get those kind of calls so I picked it up.However they must know I don't pick up usually so fixed it to appear that way.The party had very heavy middle eastern accent of some kind and addressed me by my last name....said something about my windows which I did not understand and I said "what about my windows " ? and he replied I was receiving virus's . I said did not think so as I had virus protection and then the call just dropped off and went silent and I immediately hung up. It is a scam of some kind I'm sure.

I am overseas and got a call from this number on my cell here! Very noisy in the background, couldn't hear a thing. "She" said she was calling from Boca Raton, Florida. Interesting since I do come from Florida. I will not answer it again, was driving so didn't see what the number was initially. IRRITATING.

received call from 630-933-9463.  calling for computer tech lot of background noise couldn't hear but one he told me it was about computers told him you're a scam and hung under protest from him

I just received a telephone call from 630 933 9463. The person  was listening but never said a word. I understand that the call is from USA and I am in Canada.

I got a call from 630-933-9463 10-23-12 at 3:38pm, when I answered they asked for my 13 y/o child by first name. I kept asking who is this. Finally a lady with an Indian accent said her name was Lisa. I asked her what do you want? She said she's calling to offer higher education for my child. I never told her yes or no this was my child's number, but I did tell her, she needs to remove my number from her calling list and that I was going to report her this minute. She said ok and I hung up.

They claim they are calling from the company called "Mindsupport".

It's a known scam. They try to make you provide information about your PC and then go to some website for "techsupport". The results would be obvious.
