Event Reminder
I was called on Wednesday last week with the same call and then screened today 3/24/14 at 3:48pm for broadcast interview. I actually did the interview. Within 3 minutes of hanging up I received a call from Ian Grant the producer. His # is 631.256.5285...expressing the excitment over the viral response to my interview. Stating statistics of response along with his personal contact...631.589.6000 ext 114. He then wanted me to do 3 shows ...30min each for a network blitz that assured my reaching 12,000,000 people and for $1200 I could own the broadcast...et al. Needless to say even after I expressed he was starting to sound like a car salesman....his last ditch effort was $500 for 1 program...Hahahahaha...I concluded with ...I'll call you...don't call me.

I too got a voice mail msg today fr Beth, and Executive Producer from Spotlight Talk Radio, so on and so forth.  Said don't worry it won't cost you anything.  Used my company name.  I called back.  They said they'd call back.  I hope the call back didn't give them some kind of digital permission for anything.  631-589-6000 x 141.  Don't bother.

I received a call from Spotlight Internet Radio and spoke with Chuck Noll 631-589-6000 ext 109. He said told me the purpose of a 30 min. time spot on the radio "Spotlight on Women". Women in business who make a difference. He just asked me questions to see if I would be a good candidate and said I would get 2 round trip tickets, but didn't ask for anything, but my time and it appears it could be beneficial to get my business out there and how as a woman I have a productive business as well as helping educate and take away stigmas of people who attend therapy. It doesn't seem like a scam, but I am wanting to check it out myself.

I have also had dealings with this Ashford Radio. I fell for their sales pitch and paid money for services that I have never received. Each time I call I cannot speak with anyone in authority and the receptionist could not even tell me who the CEO or President of the company was. This is a big scam. Stay away from them and DO NOT give them any money.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Ashford Radio does over 100 radio showsper week but its the same 5 or 6 clowns posting negative comments. Mostly disgruntled employees and 1 crazy client. Ashford sells radio time on Blog talk radio with professional radio hosts which offers people an open format for people to get their message out or to promote their companies. Most regular people do not get offered to go on radio so there for are willing to pay. You shouldn't assume people are jerks just because they call you with a legitimate sales offer, if youre not interested be polite and tell them no thanks plenty people are thats why they are in business.

I just got a call from them as well - unsolicited call from a radio show in NY .  Bill Stevens w/ Ashford Radio Show.  He tried to start telling me all about the free stuff I will get to be on the radio talk show and that included airline tickets and restaurants, etc. and then I would get a plague with my name, and he mentioned names like Marcus Edward, Marie Daley who would be calling me back Rose Claire, etc.  The number he called from was 866-379-2003 so be aware.  Also after I told him my history on why I am a virtual assistant so forth, then I typed in Ashford Radio Talk Show and found all these notes.  I told him okay now, "I think I am hanging up", he said why, "I told him well I just found your name under scams", he said my name, "I said yes and told him GOODBYE..............  WHAT KIND OF JERKS ARE OUT THERE ITS UNBELIEVABLE WHAT PEOPLE DO.........

Well, you seem to know a little about computers, but the sender's IP address can only be recorded for public record in an e-mail as that is how it is tracked over the Internet to be delivered to the assigned receiver. If one uses Outlook or even the old Outlook Express, one can find the IP address of the sender simply by going to the section where it can show the properties of the e-mail.

Granted, you did say one thing that could be true in that the computer can be public, but in reality even though one can get the IP address, you would need that subpoena to find out who the owner of that IP address is.  Also, you are absolutely correct about the mail could be going through proxies, spoofed as well as a few other methods of hiding the real IP address.  On the other hand, the only sites that actually do obtain the IP address of the sender are sights where you send a bill payment through a secure server (SSL encryption)  This is for the protection of the creditor in case of a fraudulent payment.

Now I myself are not really that happy with Ashford Radio's method of marketing, but in the end, we have all made some type of bad business decision by not fully checking out the companies we deal with.  When you have a good salesperson on the other end of the line, you just never know who or what you are getting into until after you sign on the dotted line.  I admit my mistake but I have to live with it as I doubt if I could get my money back on the shows I have not done as yet.

I got a call about 3 months ago while at work, promising all kinds of internet radio time and fame, if I paid $2000.  He bargained down to $500, but I didn't bite.  I just got another call from "Nyasia" at 516-222-5427.  When I told her she was in violation of Federal Law, she got her superviser.  He then promptly and politely told me to" have a great day" and hung up.

The person in question here writing this slander can be seen on the following YouTube video talking about how wonderful Ashford is and how grateful he is that everyone at the company has taken time to connect with him. Regardless if someone's a felon or not, that doesn't mean they can't get up every morning and make a legitimate living for themselves. The only reason these complainers keep complaining is because their Ashford Rep stopped holding their hand and gassing their ego everyday, and left them to use their radio shows and other tools by themselves. I guess they were holding a gun to his head when he did this interview!

Caller ID said Ashford Social.  A quick internet search and what I read here have confirmed my suspicions. These people are out to scam a family member out of money.

A family member has been targeted by "glamour publishers" in the past and it looks like they're being targeted again.

By the way, the caller ID said they called before 7:30 AM.

Ashford Rado-Social Media-Publishing took me for all of my money and gave me absolutely nothing in return. I wanted to gain some exposure on a new business venture I took part in, knowing you have to spend money to make money. An Ashford salesman who claimed to be an "Executive Producer" called me to tell me that their team of editors found my information online and thought I would be an amazing addition to their International radio show.

I was told that I would be interviewed by one of their "celebrity" hosts in front of tens of millions of loyal fans throughout the world, gaining exposure and notoriety. I was promised that team Ashford would increase my visibility on search engines and they would create Press releases that would be streamlined through all the major media news outlets like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NBC, ABC, Washington Post, Bloomberg News and even the BBC.

I was told that I was receiving this package because of my credentials and the package that is usually $5000.00 would only cost me $2000.00. Well, I took the bait and did my radio shows with a Rose Clair, who was more nervous then I was during the interview. I didn't receive any callers that was promised, but overall I was proud of my performance in front of the "Millions" ;) listening throughout the world.

After I completed my show I was called by the "Real" Executive Producer John Broxton who touted me on my performance, and that I received a 94% ranking nationwide. The world Loved me and so did Ashford radio. I was told by this scam artist that he had plans for me, and that I needed to invest in more radio shows in order to gain international exposure. I was told I was going to be on the top AM and FM radio shows and I better act now before I miss this golden opportunity.

A series was proposed that I completed. (9 shows) I still didn't receive any responses what so ever. I was told by John Broxton that I needed to come to Long Island and do the Ashford experience. I was going be flown in first class, picked up by a limo, and stay at the Waldorf Astoria. I was going to meet the host and do an interview live on video that the whole world would see. I was told that I was going to meet the whole company and go out with them. I was told that if I did this Ashord experience and some videos that Success would be beating down my door. I was so excited when i embarked on my journey to Long Island to meet the team that would take me to a level I would never dream.

It turned out that I did not get to fly first class and I was not staying in the Waldorf. Instead I flew coach on my own dime and I stayed in some rat trap around the corner from the Ashford compound that was inundated with drug addicts and prostitutes. I didn't go out to dinner with anyone and I was left alone in a city that was unfamiliar after I completed my show that was documented by a video camera. This company promised me the world and came up short on every promise imaginable. After my shows and my life savings stolen from me( $80,000.00) I didn't get anyone who reached out to me because of the shows.

I was so upset that no one contacted me after all the money and time I spent trying to market myself with this company. I tried to call John Broxton to try to figure out what was going on, but after he realized I had no more money to spend, he stopped returning my calls. I have come to realize that my press releases filled with grammatical errors never touched down on any news outlets. I found out that they created a page online that was free, that they knew no one would ever see it.

I realized that no one was listening to any of their shows and that these scam artists lied in order to get more money from me. According to Blogtalkradio.com anyone can sign up and start a radio show for free, and that you can find out how many people were listening on the radio page. I had an average of 1-2% of activity during my shows. I just recently found out that a class action lawsuit is being conducted by many others who share the same "experience" I have with Ashford radio. I was told that John Broxton is an alias for the convicted felon James Mcinerney.

I found some information on John Broxton, I mean James Mcinerney online. http://www.finra.org/Newsroom/NewsReleases/1998/P010421. This man was busted for stock fraud and now he is at it again in another industry. It has come to my attention that many of the staff at Ashford use aliases and share the same criminal past. Frank Madden is another alias. his real name is Frank Passarella and he is also a felon. Jeff Burton the owner of the company is a convicted felon as well. Sandra Smitty the "General manager is actual Maylin Then. Mr. James Preston is really Paul Smith and Janice Blake is Lee Dee Bouno another felon.

Please beware of this group of evil scam artists and I hope that the authorities take them down. I have been left with absolutely nothing, and hope justice will prevail after the investigation I sounded off with my credit card companies is complete. Please avoid this scandalous company.

"Regular guest" meaning, we got her on the phone while her publicist was handing interviews out to anyone who would talk to her?  Or, "she is so desperate that she keeps coming back for more, but we haven't bothered to post more than one interview on the web site" ?  Just wondering, based on your past responses to me.

Folks see my final response to this clown, then draw your own conclusions.  He has had every chance in the world to make his case.  In my opinion he failed.

Never mind Jay, you blew it.  I went to the other thread only to learn that Ann Deluca appears to be you posting on your own behalf.  I will simple re-post what I said on that thread:

Jay,

I've tried really hard to give you every possible benefit of a doubt.  I tried to overlook the fake posts, the threats, etc.,. I asked for some bonafides.  I got a link to a Youtube video, which turned out to be a clip of an Oprah Show.  It seemed to have nothing to do with you.

I then listened to the "radio" episode on your web site.  What I heard was some of the worst production values ever (part of my misspent youth was in radio, so I know a little about this).  And I heard one C List "celebrity" in a phone interview.  You and I know that such interviews are a dime a dozen.  But you only have one "show" on your site.  And frankly, if you don't have a list of stations, or at least one station airing your show, it isn't really a radio show, is it?  More of a blog/podcast, and I really hate to say this, but my son does one of those live in his bedroom, and he has an average of 500-600 listeners - how many do you have?

And now I learn that "Ann" was apparently Jay?

If you had said, "We do a podcast from a web site, and we charge people lots of money to be on it, and call it a radio show because that sounds better than a podcast" then I would have wondered about your customers, but at least that would have been upfront.  Instead, we got fake posts, threats, and BS.

I'll let visitors to the site make their own analysis, but I am through trying to give you a chance to make your case.  You have tried to jerk me around along with everyone else, but there is no longer the slightest doubt in my mind as to what you are doing.  Thanks for giving me such clarity.

Thanks Jay,

That is a step forward.  Can you tell me when and where your radio show airs, and perhaps give us a few more guests to verify?  Or is this really more of a podcast type thing, just on your Internet site?

I do want to be fair to you, but the whole threat and bluster approach was not helpful in that process.  This is a legitimate site in my experience, and while anything on the Internet is subject to abuse, this site does a lot of good.

I notice some of the negative posts have also been taken down as fakes.  Fakes on either side are not dispositive, but they never leave users with a good feeling about that side if the argument.

I haven't looked at the "Deluca thread" this morning, but I hope I will find something meaningful there as well.  If those are shill posts, and not legitimate, then it makes it harder for me to believe in you.  If someone you know thought they were being helpful, they made a mistake.  It is always better to play it straight in all aspects of life, even the Internet.

That would be something to be determined in a civil suit, something I would advise against encouraging. My advice would be to NOT talk about any possible civil litigation dealing with sexual harassment, real or imagined, in a public forum or make any statements about their job performance.  Do not even admit it was a former employee. Additionally when caught using the same computer to make positive posts stop trying to claim the manufactured positive posts are credible. Claiming you will get IP addresses indicates a lack of knowledge of the technology and the law. First, IP addresses can be  hidden by proxies or spoofed. Secondly, the post may have come from a public computer. In addition there is no set time a website must store IP addresses or keep them at all. Then, you would have to also subpoena the ISP. Going through this process with no certainty of achieving the goal of finding a person behind a post seems to be of little worth especially when you are claiming you already know their identity as they were a "former employee". You should be able to see how these posts are counterproductive to claims of legitimacy. The best route would be to deal with claims directly to try to satisfy customers or to not post at all.

Stop wasting everyone's time with your none sense. Whether Ashford is real or not, does not negate the fact that you personally are someone not worthy of doing business with.

We can all see that Dr. Joyce Buckner appeared on the website AshfordRadio.com

Where is your prize client, Ann Deluca? You spent 72 hours selling us on Ann Deluca. Where are her recorded interviews? Where is her website, Jay? Where is there any substantive proof that a real relationship ever existed between you and Ann Deluca?

Jay,

I am trying to get a feel for your business so that I can decide if you really are being treated unfairly.  I gather you are sort of a "vanity publisher" ?  Publishing "Whos Who" style vanity media for people who are willing to pay in order to see there name in print, on a web site, or on a radio show?  Am I correct, or have I misunderstood something?  If I am confused, can you enlighten me a bit?

I did find this interesting item on a web site I believe is yours?

Jay,

Solely in my personal opinion:

The admins have a long and proven track record of doing the right thing.

You have a brief track record of offering accusations and threats, when I would expect you to be making a thoughtful exposition of verifiable facts.

Nothing about your posts to date has seemed dispositive, and your statements certainly haven't been effectively exculpatory to my way of thinking.

As for repeated litigious threats, there is a twist on an old saying that I am fond of: "Fools rush in where fools have tread before."

Have an appropriate day.
