Unwanted Call from VSNL Americas

Called looking for me.  Can't call back, never heard of them.

VSNL Americas called this morning.Caller stated he was from Apria Health Care. He asked for information, including SSN. If you are confused about why you are getting calls even though you are on some do not call list its probably because caller is a scam artist. Reported to DAs office. If you receive similar calls, I suggest you do the same.

They are VSNL America Inc, affiliate of Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd, and they have been granted an international telecommunications licence by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Does anybody knows how to stop them?

I receive calls from this company at least 2 calls everyday and if anyone wants to report to do not call
the fone is 1888-382-1222. I called and reported I believe everyone should call to report this unwanted call  so the gov can take action against the VSNL Americas

Every day I am receiving fone calls and when I pick it up they hang up. so I call the number and say the
fone is nopn wprking number. these are the number  1631-729-8500 from VSNL AMERICAS, Arlington Va 1360-474-3983 , 1360-529-6981 Olimpia W, I wonder how can we stop these type of call. I have regstered on no call  but seems that is not working anymore

Got a call from VSNL Americas today around 10:30 this morning.
They wanted to talk to me about my Con Edison bill.
Told them I haven't had a Con Ed bill foe about 26 years
And started to question them.  They hung up.  How
rude.  The phone number on my caller ID was 1-631-729-8500

They have been calling me from 631-729-8500 for weeks now.  When someone IS on the other end, their spiel includes the stating they're connected somehow with "your (my) Con Edison.  I wonder if Con Edison knows about this fraud?

I'm receiving calls from VSNL Americas 631-229-9218 per my called ID at least 2 times per day.  Caller does not  speak or leave a message. I'm getting very annoyed.

My calls, only during the day thus far, have come from 1-631-729-8500, showing up on my caller ID as VSNL Americas.  Either I haven't been home when called or I screen calls.  It shows as a # in Suffolk County, New York.  I've called the #; it doesn't even ring-- just silence and then disconnects.  Obviously something very fishy but haven't received evening call-- yet-- but don't know if contacting anyone will do any good and appears they have diff. #'s so blocking might not even work.

it's st. pats day 2012 i just got a call from vsnl said hello 3 seconds later man said hello back then no answer first time some one said something not the first time they've called who are these people and what do they want it's very disturbing i recently lost my wife and i'm still in mourning she passed away on valentines day we had no kids i'm alone now i don't need this

any info on who this is?

We don't own any time shares and were being pestered all the time from VSNL America's. We want them  to stop calling us..

they started calling me yesterday from 631-729-8481...last message had lots of typos

then strted calleding me yesterday from 631-729-8481

They called and when I picked there was just silence on the line then it disconnected.

Called 3 times after 8pm. want caller to die. I work at 4am

631-229-9218 call out of new york suffolk county however there is speculation that it is a junk call center from the philipeans...talked to someone who could have passed for asian or mylasian accent asking about selling time shares when told I do not have on imediate hank up.

Receive multiple calls  DAILY, at all hours of the day and night, from this number as identified on caller ID.  I rarely answer the call, but when I do and request caller to cease calls, caller hangs up on me.  Attempted to return call to identify the caller, but an automated response answers "this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service".  I have registered on the 'do not call' list, but has not impacted the phenomenal number of unsolicited calls I receive.

FTC needs to investigate, shut down their communication system.  I've reported it, and encourage all who are receiving these calls do the same thing.  It's the squeaky wheel that gets oiled.

I get calls from these same VSNL Americas all day long but from a different number 626-782-6078. I never answered and then today I decided to answer to see what they wanted.  I was told what seemed to be a recording that it was card services and I should call about my account number of which I no such account. Yes they call early in the morning and late at night.  I wish someone can tell us what to do about these calls.

They are now using 631 229 9235 number asking questions about people that live in a certain address and saying that they need to speak to that person it's an important message. I never gave my information to anyone and do not give out my private number to anyone. so how did they get my number and what do they want from me??

I've received phone calls at work and home about selling my time share, I ask who is calling and what is their address.  Most time they just are rude and hang up after I tell them I'm not selling or renting.  The last call I told asked for the name of the company and the person did tell me CK International located in New York, but he would not give me his name.  After I kept asking for his name and location of his office he hung up.  I have received several calls a day both at work and home, I've told them to stop calling but nothing works.  Most of the callers are very rude, I don't know what else to do except to list my phone number again on the do not call list.

I keep on getting calls from this very rude guy!  He hangs up and then calls back.  This has been going on for weeks now.

The caller wanted to know our Medicare numbers -- he said they are in the diabetic supply business.
