This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got the same call at work today. I let him know I knew it was a scam. the number I was called from was 1-214-491-5251

Hey I got the same call and they called my work as well as my cell phone.  This person is using Adam White, I bet you its the same person.  They wont stop calling you until they finally give up give it a couple weeks then they will stop.

I received a call at my business number from PCS new york city from 631-315-0202. His name was Shawn Marshall and left a message for me to call. I looked up the phone number and realized this is not a legitimate number.

i know. they called me at work also. its anoying coz my coworkers are nozzy and i dont want them to know my private life.

i had recieved a call at work and my cellphone saying that i have a paydayloan that i hevent payed yet. the company is called advance payday loan. i thought it was the payday loan that i went to this past couple of years but i payed them and i dont have any loans with them anymore. i checked with them if it is the same company. they told me no its not. i ask my bestfriend about it then he saw this website. same discription is happening with me. indian accent guy named Shawn Marshi. i talked to his supervisor also an indian guy and he always hangs up in the middle of a conversation. they say i need to pay $600.00 so i wouldnt go to jail or get arrested. i am willing to pay them coz of course i got scared. the good thing is that my bestfriend helped me search this number tru the web and found out it was a fraud.

My friend got a call today and when he called it back they told him they were going to sue him if he called again. I got the number and called it back myself and they changed the name to Dept of financial fraud. This is rediculous and something needs to be done about this. They have his SSN and his bank account number. Someone is selling peoples information. We all need to see if there is any common factor between us so we can pin point the reason this is happening. I am getting with my friend who works for a attorney to find out the best action.

Received a call from my boss at work saying "Jacob Palmer" called and said i will have a warrant for my arrest if i dont call them. So i called and "Chester Homer" who may i add has a very heavy indian accent said I own 534.00 for some payday loan that I never had! They wouldnt give me much information all i got from them was the name of the law office is PCS Law Firm

In the meantime, you are going to have to do whatever you can to protect yourself. That includes letting them know you are aware they are running a scam and are reporting them to the authorities.

I have gotten this call at work last year(7\2011) and yesterday(9\18). They identified themselves then as Frank Mcneil working for Willie and Wilson Associates 630.332.0770. Yesterday I found a note saying a Jim Morierty 316.315.0202 called it was very important something to do about a warrant. The phone call in July was returned and I told the man I did not owe money to anyone he was associated with. I had turned his name and numberinto the better busines bureau, posted on fraud sigth and my attorney had his name. The words out of his mouth "go___ your self". I thought it was over. I have not called this other person back but i have not recieved any calls at home, just my . How do I get those to stop?

Got a call from a very indian "Kevin" we talked for 1/2 hour I informed him that if they had a law suite against me I wanted documentation. kept going around in circles until he gave me the supposed # of the company suing me. Surprise,surprise......no# not valid. When I called him back, got his supervisor who rushed me off the phone by telling me I'd get info via email. LOL! What a scam!!!! I will report them to attn general office!

I have been receiving calls from this company stating that I owe a debt. They call my job harrassing the receptionist and said they will keep calling if they don't hear from me. My boss told me to let them know they will be hearing from my lawyer if the calls keep coming.
How did they get my information???

Got a voicemail from this number said i owe a loan and said he was with the legal department i do not have any loans am calling the attorney general for our state on this one

These guys that can't speak english left a message that our firm committed some type of fraud using them as a reference which never happened.  The attorney's at our firm would like to get this guy's name and physical address and respond swiftly, accordingly, and take what ever actions are allowed to make such accusations.  No letter, no documentation, cannot understand a damn work the Chinese guy said. He should be deported.

Received a call from this same person today, but it came up as 307-745-5700 (Best Western in Wyoming). I call the Best Western and spoke to the manager and he has been getting numerous complaints about calls coming from their number.  The people doing this are using some type of VoIP system, SKYPE or other calling set up that masks the true location or identity of these people. I told this caller to not call my work number again, that I would not speak to him, to put whatever he had to say in writing and if it is regarding a debt to provide a certified copy of the original contract to me proving I owed the debit.  He asked me for a company name of a contract...  The poor manager at the Best Western has filed complaints with the FCC and has no luck getting them to stop.  If anyone finds a way to get the calls to stop, please share the information.  If you find out who this needs to be reported to, please share so we can all report the issue and get it stopped.

Receive many calls from this number. I screen caller IDs at work, so if it's not a number I recognize as being a business call, I let it go to voicemail. They also call my home number all the time. This guy usually gives the name Adam White, but very heavy foreign accent.  No way it's his real name. It's a collection agency code name. Used to work for a company that the collection person wouldn't use her real name on collection calls, she had one alias she would use just in case some angry person tried to look her up and locate her. But these were legitimate outstanding debts she was trying to collect for a legitimate company.  I'm waiting for him to call me again today.  It's going to be his worst mistake. In just the mood to give him what for, at work or not.

Got a call from this number today to my cell phone.  The caller told me that a relation of mine was using me as a reference and he needed me to verify their SSN by ME telling HIM what it was.  Um, no.  I don't think so.  Thick indian accent and he said his name was John Smith.  When I said 'Do you really expect me to believe your name is John Smith when you are obviously not from this country'? he immediately hung up.

This time it is John Smith.

I HAVE REC SEVERAL CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER # 631-315-0202  -LEAVING MY #SS NUMBER ON  RECORED LINE. THIS PERSON HAS AN ACCENT AND STATING THAT  THEIR LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST ME. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS MAN IS TALKING ABOUT BUT THIS WILL SURELY  JEOPARDIZE MY JOB.

I got a call today for Enforcement Financial Fraud  stating I owed 300  from Cash 'America in 2011
I did not make this loan  The guy with thick accent  almost got me to give him my checking information.  When I didn't he got mad and theathen me  about court charges and sueing  me in New York City up to  $4000.00-   I am glad to know this is just a scam

Got a call on my cell phone, they left a message saying I had a legal matter I needed to handle. Something about something being put against my SS# and me. Don't know what they were talknig about because I don't know of anything I owe to any loan places. I really like how it was a foreign man calling and he said his name was Ronnie Jackson. Really??? They really do think people are stupid!

A rude Indian man keeps calling my corporate office asking for one of my employees. At first he would not give us his name or number to take a message. He would always hang up and call over and over again. Finally he left his name as "Kevin Jackson" and gives us the number 631-315-0202 but my caller ID states 847-569-3754, when I tried to call it back it says that it is out of service. He claims he is with a company called P.C.S. SO RUDE!!!

I have been receiving calls for a Kevin Jackson... He has been rude to the receptionist and has been rude when leaving a message on my voice mail... I have asked for information. If I owe the debt I want to settle, but I'm not going to give them my bank information without first getting the necessary information so I can do my own research. My job looks down on this type of harassment.

Keep receiving messages at my work saying it is reference to a legal matter - Gives a name "Brandon Smith" was todays in the past just would say "PATEL" but it is someone with a thick foreign accent and the number is "Unidentified" if this was legit - the company would be identified when the number is searched.  This is ridiculous and it's harassment!!!! I have received NO paper work and I have nothing outstanding that would warrant anything like this I have contacted a lawyer to have them respond and file a complaint

I just got a call from them as well ...I just keep hanging up and he calls right back....then he says he's going to put me on the line with his supervisor, when i waited  the so called "supervisor" gets on the line and then it's the same person lol i dont know what's going on i just wish they would leave me alone gheesh!

Received a call from "Brandon Smith," and "Keith McNulty" both who have heavy accents.  They stated that I owe a company called Cash Advance America, but I don't.  They said that legal action would be taken against me if I did not submit a payment to them.  They never called my home, but placed several calls to my place of employment.
