I literally just got off the phone with a Steve Gomez and then proceeded to do some research. Everything on this blog is exactly what I dealt with. My resume (which has nothing to do with finance) was on his desk and wanted a meeting the next night. N****s these days ha

I got a call from a rafiel saying that my resume had appeared on his desk and he wanted to know if i could come in for an interview the next evening at 730 pm... thought that was good.. but than thought about it.. i decided to google the rouisses company and luckily found all of this. I had been sucked into a meeting with prime america like a year ago which was a huge mistake and a complete and total scam where they try and get you to invest your money... BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Just got a call from 631.361.6491, jason tejaras or something close left a message. He said he was from Roussis International, apparently a finance firm?  After reading some of the other posts here about this scam-type company, I doubt I will even return his call. First of all, I'm a journalist who writes often for papers in NYC and on Long Island and I have almost no finance experience. So, why someone would be calling me regarding a position working in finance is immediately shady.

It sounded suspicious right away for several reasons.

Number one--when the caller is very vague about the position and then says the company name quickly...it's suspect immediately.

Any legit rep from a real company/opportunity will at very least say what job is and where they found your resume. By the way, I had just posted on Monster.com the other day--that may have been my mistake. I think Monster has now become something of a clearinghouse for job scammers! You'll notice there are now few legit-sounding jobs posted on Monster.

Number two--when a supposed recruiter calls you for a job which you know you're not qualified for or a good fit, be suspicious right away.

The old saying still holds--If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Beware as scammers are everywhere, especially in this climate of scarce jobs.

I just got a call from this number. I don't remember what the man said his name was, but he said he had read my resume and thought that I would be perfect to fill a management position for some children's organization. I said I wasn't interested; I have no management experience and no desire to gain any. He then offered me a part time position in marketing. I said I wasn't interested and hung up. This is what I get for posting my resume online... I guess I'll be getting more calls like these. yay...

Received a call from Jason Tejero - nice guy, but he is well rehearsed and stuck to his script.  If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I set up an interview for next week but will email him to cancel.

Pretty much, any job offering in insurance or finance sales are all weak opportunities.  I won't call them scams, but they are nothing more than "get rich quick schemes."

Some girl from "Primerica" wanted me to manage a couple offices on Long Island, asking me if I liked being in positions of management or leadership. She claims to have a copy of my resume- if she had read it, no where does it state that I have any leadership or management experience AND none of my experiences would lead you to believe that I can help people get out of debt as well.
Even when I sound very unsure of what was going on when talking to her, she goes on like a train unable to stop, trying to get me hooked. I think this is some sort of scam or scheme.

Be wary of Steve Gomez from Roussis International Finance Firm. He is shady and well-rehearsed.
Address: 77 Arkay Dr.
             K
Hauppage, NY (BTW Adams Ave. & Marcus Blvd.)
He has 2 numbers 631-579-9091
                              631-361-6491

He had said he found me from ResumeRabbitt and claimed that he had a position that fit my background which is education. I have no background in business or finance but he still was willing to offer my a leadership position in a mortgage brokerage firm where I would be assisting him to consult others to train. It look to good to be true. So I got home and I looked up the company when I got home and found out it was a SCAM! He even offered to set up an appt. to meet with him in the evening at 7:30 along with the partners and resceptionist. I thought that was odd in the evening. I did make an appt but I am not going after hearing that this is all a scam.
I am glad I am not going I am not putting my confidence into these people that tamper with your hopes to get a job. There were so many complaints about how they lure you into thinking it's a job but it's a SCAM. It's a real shame how they play with people in hard economic times when they are really looking for a legitimate job. I can't believe they haven't been arrested yet!
There are other numbers on this site they have used and the compliants are the same. They must use a pre-paid cell phone to elicit there job scam. Check them out.
