Called me 3 times today. The last call I answered and said I have your number recorded and you have been reported to the local police. They hung up right away.

I was contacted by this ACS by them today too. 8308653159 and 210 390 8694  are the numbers they used. They didn't speak very good English and said that took out a loan back on 09 from Cash USA. I contacted Cash USA and they stated I owed them nothing and that this was scam.

I paid this once and will never fall for this scam again! Report this abuse! He called me saying he is with US legal affidavit. Claims a company filed a lawsuit again my name and social security number for a loan there never existed! Wants to settle out of the court for about $350.

I feel like I have a huge target on me somewhere that only these Indians can see.  I have been called by several different "Companies" all claiming that I owe money for a payday loan.  When I ask for the name of the company they give me a lst of companies none of which I have ever had a loan with.  I have had a pay day loan with two different companies.  Both of my loans are paid in full and I have the proof of it.  I have explained this.  They refuse to send me anything in writting claiming they cant.  Bottom line DO NOT send these people any money and report them to the FTC and your state attorney generals office.  I have done all of this.

A "David Johnson" called me at work from this number, claiming to be from some US Legal Affidavit Office regarding an unpaid payday loan. He was rude and threatening.  He called back about 6 times, finally leaving a message that was rude regarding legal action being filed tomorrow morning.

I have been once again receiving threatening phone calls from "David Johnson" from some US legal affidavit office, 631-532-8144.  If this guy's name is Johnson may I be hit by lightening.  Very thick Indian accent and very rude!  They called me about 6 times this morning AT WORK.  What can I do to file against them?  This is incredibly annoying.

For at least the last four years, possibly longer, a group has been calling former payday loan applicants advising them that they have defrauded a bank and are now being sued for non-payment of a loan.  The callers will claim to be calling on behalf of an attorney's office (name varies), the Dept. of Law and Investigation, ACS, or other similar combinations below:

You will be threatened with arrest, a costly trial and possibly worse.  In no shape, way or form can you be arrested for non-payment on a consumer debt.  Do not believe these threats, as they are without merit and cannot be carried out in the manner they allege.  

Who are they?

In the past when pressed by law enforcement for an address, the callers have provided the following information:

They have been previously fined over $1.3 million for various violations.  They have been known to use phone banks in India to make their calls, which more or less coincides with the difficult to understand accent many of us detect when we are contacted.

I think people like don't know how to speak in English and how to pronounce it. I am not here to justify myself. I am posting here to warn the people because i know there is lots of scams but every call is not scam. So people if you dont want to beleive it let it be. My duty is to inform everyone about this.

I have recieved a number of calls from the telephone #631-532-8144 a few mounths ago I paid them a total of 482.00 now this time they say I have a debt of 612.00, So I paid them 100.00 and told them they could debt my checking account for the rest on the 10th. of october to my debt card . now I will have to chang my debt card number with my bank.  the court thing is what got me a little upset, but you learn from your mistakes.

well this is not at all Bs. coz i ve also mistaken it and used abusive languages to them. i suffered a lot due to this. Infact it affected my life as well. i loss my job and had a expense of $12000 in a courthouse so please be sure before doing anything. It ll be better if you pay all this otherwise................

These scum bags claim they are some "financial crimes division"...claim I have some type of pay day loan...threaten there is a court ordered hearing...all BS.

I asked what supposed address they had for me and it wasn't even close. The scary thing is they have all my contact info...even called my co-workers.

My bank accounts got hacked months ago and then this crap started.

Please, block your phone number *67, and then call them and give them some crap right back.

I call to waste their time and simply ask, "Where's the court house" over and over. Immature? Perhaps, but at least I get some payback by doing it...hehehehehe

I received a voice mail from this number from someone who spoke very little english. After listening to it several times, I was able to make out the words legal issues. I then called the number back still speaking to someone who could barely speak english, telling me that there was a legal issue pending against me they could help me with. They claimed the name of their company is ACS. I wanted to know what it was about, they couldn't tell me. Told me they'd call me back in 15 minutes. I want to know ASAP who these people are and why they have my phone number. Please contact me immediately.
