Saw this number on the caller ID, it says "NATIONAL CREDIT", googled this number while it was still ringing and saw this. Didn't pick up. Listened to the voice message and it's about if you need funding to expand your business or purchase equipment to contact them. Thnx

got so many calls from this number.

I started receiving calls from this number yesterday, and because it wasn't known to me, I didn't answer.  All 3 times (twice yesterday and once today) the caller left a voicemail, very rushed, asking to have the "owner or person in charge of accounts payable" call back at a different number - (631) 941-9616, and then ended with a canned "file number" (by canned I mean it's pre-recorded).  I tried phoning the number back several times, and if it wasn't busy, it would connect and only silence ensued.  After half a minute of waiting for someone to say "hello" or something, I hung up.  I suspect elizabeth is right; some kind of scam.  I also googled the other number, and "stacey" said the same thing happened to him/her a year ago, also on this site.

Believe these are scammers. They called my business and left a voice mail that they are debt collectors and ask to speak to the owner or credit manager. I'm told once they get someone on the line, they try to elicit confidential info or sell you debt collection services.
