Called up offering an extended warranty for my Hyundai Elantra despite the fact that I had already signed up for the ten year when I bought the car three years ago. I asked them if they were with Hyundai and they said they were in fact Hyundai and Kia. Looking up the number and finding this page I see that this isn't the case since they call for other things. I didn't fall for their crap. Told them I would call Hyundai later because I was at work and didn't have time for this. The woman on the phone promptly hung up on me. The whole thing seemed shady from the start. I have reason to believe they are pure scammers. Judging by the other comments here as well.

My advice to anyone who receives phone calls like this, always double check these type of things directly with your local dealers and not people on the phone who CLAIM to be with the car company of your vehicle.

same thing just happened to me...comes up as a local number...Global touch...when you call back it says they are closed...and thrir regular hours are 7am to 4pm (Pacific time) which means they are probably a telemarketer from the West Coast!!! DNC list is useless :(

They called me today it said Riverhead Global Touch they need the milage on my black truck said they were calling from DMV I told them the vehicle was not here they said they would call back.  I read the other posting hope they don't start calling me back

They called again today.  They asked about the mileage on my car. They knew the Year make and model.  Apparently it was for some kind of warranty.  When I said they had to call another number she said "That's ok mam. Have a nice day." Then hung up before I could say anything. Seems strange.

It just happened to me. Asked me to call between 9-4 Mon-Fri. It's 3:05 pm right now.

Got a call and tried to call it back. Did not say the name of the company and just said they were closed. I literally called the number right back. ?????

called once today for the first time & said not one word.  I will keep track of how many more times this number calls & post it on this forum.  Thanks, but, no thanks.

You completely misunderstand the purpose and functioning of the Do Not Call list.  It matters not whether the caller is "for profit" or "non-profit" with respect to the requirement to register for and utilize the DNC list. There are plenty of "for profit" callers who are exempt from using the DNC list. The sole criteria for registration and use of the list is whether or not the caller is selling goods or services to those called or attempting to qualify those called as a potential sales lead for a third party.  You really need to read the Information for Consumers on the DNC website to understand what it is and is not.

Keep calling two to three times daily even on Christmas when you answer nobody answers put on call block.The do not call list doesn't work they register as non profit so they don't have to abide by enclosure rules.
