Called up offering an extended warranty for my Hyundai Elantra despite the fact that I had already signed up for the ten year when I bought the car three years ago. I asked them if they were with Hyundai and they said they were in fact Hyundai and Kia. Looking up the number and finding this page I see that this isn't the case since they call for other things. I didn't fall for their crap. Told them I would call Hyundai later because I was at work and didn't have time for this. The woman on the phone promptly hung up on me. The whole thing seemed shady from the start. I have reason to believe they are pure scammers. Judging by the other comments here as well.

My advice to anyone who receives phone calls like this, always double check these type of things directly with your local dealers and not people on the phone who CLAIM to be with the car company of your vehicle.

Caller ID "RIVERHEAD NY" ? @8:09pm EDT .  I do not answer callers I do not know. They did not leave a message.  Based on 800notes.com, I doubt this is a charity! SCAMMER

I did not answer this call from Riverhead, NY.  I called the number back and a man with a very course voice said "Hello",  I said "Hello", he said "Hello" again like he could not hear me, and when I replied back he laughed and said "Ha, ya dumb F*** I can't believe you fell for that".  What kind of psycho is this?  Definitely don't take these calls!

I get this number calling me at least once a day reading Riverhead calling.  Very annoying I want it stopped

They keep calling my phone and hanging up before i can answer.  i called the number back once at 10 pm and got a very nasty person.

Recieved numerous calls from 631-574-4394.  say hello, never an answer, well tonight after 6 calls i got fed up and called it back! The S.O.B. finally answered and said you F....ing A--hole you fell for the oldest trick in the book. in a very raspy voice, a little on the scarey side. I wouls like to report this but I don't now to who!

The same thing happens to me . Everyday at 5 they call and if it goes to answering machine they leave no message . Then they call back and I pick up and they hang up

My wife donated twice to charities via a telemarketing call - this was about 18 years ago.  For 15 years afterwards we received telemarketing calls from all sorts of charities - I guess we were a "hot" number or something.  Finally after 15 years the calls stopped.

Don't ever give money to a charity via the phone - you will get hounded for additional donations for years.

Don't ever give a donation over the phone. Especially for unsolicited calls. Don't feel guilty.
If you ever want to give a donation to a charity you can go to a legitimate web site and check it out.
St Jude has one, USO has one, Wounded Warriors has one, Toys for Tots has one.
Just tell them you don't give to unsolicited charities and hang up. A legitimate charity doesn't solicite over the phone like that. I have even gotten a call from some that say, "that you for your previous donation" and I never gave to them in the past and won't in the future.

I have gotten roughly 7 messages from this and a similar # ending with 4399.  I reported it to the FTC and will also report it to the FCC.

I have gotten roughly 7 robo calls from 631-574-4394 & 4399 to tell me that the VFW fund drive is going on.  Nobody picks up the phone when you call these #s.  The caller on the recorded message does not identify himself, just leaves what is supposed to be a soft-soaping pseudo patriotic message that fund raising is going on.

Someone called from what she said was the Children's Cancer Society but the number is for the VFW.  Obnoxious when I questioned her and she hung up.

I receive at least 2 calls a week from this phone number. Yes it is annoying when no voice answers and then hangs up on you. Please try to STOP this number from calling us citizens.

These a**les are driving me up the wall! They have been calling me 2 to 3 times a day for MONTHS!! They are always, when I actually get someone, trying to scam me with "support the troops" B.S. I absolutely HATE these little s****ucks!! It always says Riverhead on the phone when they call.

The Company that runs the phone line is PAETEC COMMUNICATIONS.  Maybe trying to contact the carrier will have some sort of results?  This number continuously calls my home as well!

Received a phone call from this number looking for money to help children with cancer this Holiday season.  When I explained that I give to the American Cancer Society (a company I trust!), ever since my father got sick and had just passed away this summer.....she hung up on me!!  Of course, when I called back you get a recording and to press "0" for the operator....which in the end, the line hung up!  I will file find a way to file a complaint and stop the end of these types of phone calls.
