Just noticed a charge from JHD Productions on my credit card, dated 4/5/10.  Called Visa customer service and had my card shut down.  I don't know who JHD is or what they do, and 63 cents is hardly worth the trouble to even notice it.  If they're counting on thousands of others to not notice, it can add up.  I have used Amazon, so it could have been lifted from them, from the notes already posted.

I just got a .41 charge dated 4/05 on my credit card.  Had just bought several items from Amazon.com and I think you may be right.  Some employee has sold info.  My other cards are fine.

The 'something in common' may be an Amazon.com employee.  Where else but at a big company would there be such a broad based clientele?  I never shop at Target.com, so for me that's out.

How and why these scammers picked on my company out of the thousands of other production companies is a mystery to me. I'm just hoping that this nightmare will end soon so that I can get back to doing what I love to do...make movies..

I don't use Firefox so that rules out the browser as the problem. My husband and my business debit cards both got phished and I caught it on the same day before it processed and cancelled both cards. But I'd like to know who and how they got both our numbers at the same time.

Same thing here.  I was charged $.44 on my US Air Mastercard.  I called them and they were very good about it.  Removed the charge, closed my account and are sending me a new card.  Mine is also linked to eBay/PayPal and Amazon.  I only use one card for online items.

I googled the JHD Productions and found out about this scam... so did the person at my credit card company.  She said that they will investigate.

I had a charge for .58 cents on April 5th. The only on-line place this card is used is iTunes. We are with the military in Europe, so my guess is they got my number from iTunes.

Last night I found a charge for less than a dollar from JHD PRODUCTIONS.  I Googled a bit and found that a lot of others have had this charge.

Unfortunately, it seems the thief will make money from this as it was a debit card, and my credit union will get my money back if I file a police report, mail back a notarized copy along with additional paperwork from the credit union.  I doubt that everyone will notice this charge, or those that do would go through the time and expense to get back pennies.

If hundreds have complained to JHD, there a likely thousands that have not.  Thousands or tens of thousands of these micropayments could add up to some real money.  And with the transactions that have gone through, it shows a good number for the thief to sell to others.  Unfortunate.

I too received a bogus charge for $0.51 from JHD PRODUCTIONS.  This is a completely FRAUDULENT charge. This is happening all over the country, from several banks (BofA, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.)

CANCEL your card immediately.  I've noted on JHD's website that the scammers were using the the JHD name, and furthermore, JHD does not even conduct business using credit/debit cards.  I'm only out 51 cents, yet the legit JHD is getting the worst.

Cut your losses and CANCEL the card, it is not worth filing a claim, or disputing.  If you have "payment information" stored on Amazon, Paypal, or any other site, I suggest you delete that information as well.  It is definitely worth the hassle to re-enter your information each time.

My debit card tied to my checking account was charged .55 cents on April 5. Mine was a mastercard. I was told that the charge is coming through the mastercard ( and visa) credit companies and that once I cancel the debit card number attached to the account there should be no more withdrawls from my account. My worries are what about the new card they want to issue me on the account? How safe is just getting a new number on a debit card ?  ( my thoughts are to cancel a debit card access to the account and just write checks)  

I also had that debit /credit number attached to Paypal and use it at Starbucks, Subway, Office Depot, Fred Meyer.

I had a .60 charge to my chase checking account the other day.  Just called the bank to report. It happened right after I used same card at a BP gas station in Connecticut.

My Cabela's Visa card got hit for 63 cents on monday (4/5). I called to have my card blocked and the visa company treated me like crap and even hung up on me twice... I'm a little worried. I hope they cancelled my card so those a***oles disguising themselves as JHD Productions can't take anymore of my money.

It started off as a JHD production 65 cents charge. When I went to check my account today, a 13.51 charge popped up, twice. Be aware. I had to cancel my debit card.

just got back from vacation and noticed a 46 cent charge on my Chase Visa ... only recent use was at some restaurants in Texas where I was vacationing ... also use the card occassionally locally but not in the last couple weeks ... oh well, cancelled card and will be getting new number

I just read several that said they used paypal..  I bet that is where it happend as I just bought  thru paypal a few days back... they have someone dishonest working for them...

I suppose if they do that to thousands of people they can rake in a bunch; I hate scammers!!!

I just got the same charge on my debit card JHD productions, had to cancel my card, pain in the butt scammers!!! Not sure how they got my card number, but have bought through paypal and amazon...will have to quit buying stuff online I guess...

I have a 52 cent charge to my Visa CC from "JHD Productions" on 4/5 as well.  They now have a disclaimer up on their website saying "it wasn't us - it's a scam".  My CC co. could have cared less when I called.  They told me they've never heard of this "scam" and to go online and submit some form to dispute the transaction.  I asked if they were planned to investigate it and she said, "I dunno".

Forgot to mention I called BOA customer service this a.m. and reported this JHD productions crap charge. They closed my account number asap and are issuing me a new one with no problems. But still I'm annoyed..I want to know where they got my card info from..

I also have a BOA card and was charged .58 on 4/5..I'm so mad..for one that some how some tard got my credit card number,,two taking .58 cents or whatever from tons of people is alot of money..and three he ripped off alot of people..

I don't use the card in very many places..the only places I use that card is real arcade, old navy, food sometimes, and I have it attached to my paypal and ebay account.

I have never used e-bay and I was fraudulently charged 53 cents. BOA canceled my debit card and issued another.

i had a charge for .62 from jhd productions on monday. i just though it was a pre auth for gas i purchased from a BP station that same day. when the gas charge came thru i noticed that the .62 was not removed. i called wachovia today and they told me of this scam/fraud. i had to shut down my check card and they are overnighting me a new one. i did notice on monday when i paid at the pump at the BP it took an extra 10-15 seconds for my card to get processed? i noticed because i was running late for work and was in a hurry?? that was the only transaction i made with my check card that day. the wachovia fraud guy said somone has hacked into a merchants pay system

I have the same charge on my BofA account. I have that card linked to my ebay/paypal as well. I wonder if paypal or ebay is the link between all our charges?

I am just curious what actual debit card transaction we did make that enable this scammer to steal our Debit Card data.  I recently bought items from Target.com and Amazon.com
I could be off base but my thought is that some employee sold our information to others or is attempting to use it themself to commit these acts.  There has to be something in common for this to be happening all across the US.  And for the guy from Wachovia when you call your bank and get stupid just hang up and call back, chances are calling back should get you another person answering phones that can be more helpful.
