also got a text from this number, that said "hi and my first name".

Reported it to my carrier as an abusive or fraudlent number

recieved text from this person, who knew my name. wanted me to add them on messenger under the name txtwoman75 and that their phone was dying. I told them unless they say who they are their final action before their phone dies should be to delete my number.

this exact same thing happened to me 11/20 too.

I received a text "Hey Barbara".
Me:  "Who are you?"
Them:  "do ya use Y! IM?? cuz im me my id is txtieflirty73"
Me:  "Who are you?"
Them:  "Sorry!! My Android's going to die :("
Me:  Do not contact me again if you don't tell me who you are."


I will be contacting both Yahoo and my phone carrier with this info.

I got the same text with my real name.  When I asked who it was the person texted back "Omg ... mi fone s going to die !!!"  I texted back "OK.  Then charge it.  And once it's charged, please tell me who this is."  Received this text back "add me on Y! msgr text girlie32."  Definitely not going there.  Stinks to high heaven.

Got a text and I did not respond because I got a similar text the night before from another number. H

Got the same text message from this number as everyone else. Hi _____... Funny thing though, got the same message yesterday from a different number. My sister and several other friends got it too. All of us from different numbers. This is weird..

I've had two text messages in 2 days.  When asked who this is, texter replys ADD ME TO YAHOO MESSAGING:  textwoman66

I got the same message. It said Hey Angie? Then said lol, you have to add me on Y! Messenger to find out who this is. Textgrly476 is the yahoo ID I got. I said I didn't yahoo.

Got the same text msg "Hi Mary", no other info.   After reading this thread, I just deleted it.

Got a txt Hi, Carla?  When asked who it was they said I had too add them on yahoo messanger textieflirty56.

I got a text from here saying "Hola Sara"

Received message from same number wrote "Hi Denise".  Did not reply when I asked who they were.  How did they get my phone number and how did they know my name?

Received a text message, "Hi Denise".  I replyed to this message, received no answer.  How did this person get my phone number?  If it is a telemarketer, it is from New York, why are they calling me?

I got a text from 6316023397, they wrote hello Ashlee!!!     Said hello back and they never responded. Kinda weird.

Same, got a text "Hey Anne!!" No idea who that is, or how they know my name.

that has happend to my mother and younger sister today and my sister replyed to it and she was told in order for u to know who i am u have to add me on yahoo and gave her a yahoo user name and she hasnt got anything back yet

Got a text from this number this afternoon, text said "Hey Michael??"

They knew my name but didn't respond when asked who they were.

Got a text message. Didnt identify self when asked.

DONT KNOW.. MY HUSBAND GOT A TEXT SAYING HI _____ MY DAUGHTERS NAME... SPELLED CORRECTLY AND SHE HAS A PRETTY CLOSE TO ONE OF A KIND SPELLING... TRIED CALLING AND GOT A VOICE MAIL SAYING THAT IT WAS A "TEXT PLUS TEXT" NUMBER..... DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS... I LOOKED THE NUMBER UP AND FOUND IT IN GREENPORT, NY AND THAT IT IS A LANDLINE.... NOT SURE BUT HE RESPONDED THAT HE WAS HER FATHER AND NOTHING SINCE... LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND ANYTHING AS WELL!!
