I found so many great things about jvl jewelry and I personally also had a great experience with them. If you read the gift card it gives you the entire policy to the T. I love my wedding bands from them.

So I sat through the demonstration at a wedding expo and after I received the same gift card. Yes it sounds like a scam blah blah blah, but I did A LOT of research on them and looked up reviews on weddingwire.com theknot.com ect. and found very FEW negative reviews and it was relating to the prices and not the quality of rings. I ordered both mine and my fiancé's titanium rings from them and they feel and look amazing.

I received a phone call from this number just a few minutes ago. Initially I was happy. I like the idea of winning things, and I did register to win something from oriental trading company weddings. I thought I was getting something awesome. I started to think about it and it was too good to be true. I just want to know some real thoughts on it. Did you go to the promo? How were the rings? Did you just ignore it?
Thanks

Just received the "Blocked-Unknown" voicemail from a girl named Josephine saying that I won a "prize" from a yellow raffle card that I filled out at Brideworld Expo which I attended last July 29 at the LA Convention Center. I remember filling out the card and was about to call the 631-683-5133 number but wanted to look it up first on this website. Everyone's  comments here made me decide that calling them back would not be worth my time. Thanks everyone!

we went to one of these its not a scam they just want you to buy there cookware which is very pricey. I love the cook ware and want to buy it one day but its not reasonable for my budge being that im planning a wedding and supporting 4 kids. all you have to do is sit through someone talking for an hour or so and listen about there cookware. the guy we had was funny had this goofy like laugh i couldnt stop laughing.. than he cook some veggie and handed them out they were tasty. after that they ask u to buy the pot and pans but if you dont u still get ur prize my prize was a 600.00 gift card ti jvl jewler thats where im getting my wedding bands saves me 600.00 and we also got a yr subscription to passporttovalue.com

I'm glad they were honest with you. If that was what I'd been told I would have simply said - no thanks, that's not our style and we can't afford your product. For use though, they made it out to be a contest drawing for a free wedding and honeymoon. I had to google the company and number to find out the truth.

Or we think the rings are not to our tastes and prefer something more suited to us. Not everyone likes that style. We want gold rings. If I'm willing to not get a style I like, I might as well by 20 dollar rings and save- that's less then the 50 dollar shipping cost- which is really expensive for shipping small rings when you think about it.

Ok, that wasn't a nice comment. Do you work for the company? You can't expect everyone to be overjoyed about this when their numbers are getting sold to the company and the calls are unrequested. And when messages are left stating someone "won" a prize, they do typically expect that the deposit is covered in addition to the room. The original commenter did say it wasn't as bad as some people were saying. I think though you may be trying to make people think it's better then it is. Be realistic. Some people may love this but for others it's an annoyance they did not request.

I also got the call  on Friday, though I never have gone inside Davids bridal, I only went to a bridal expo in the OC and kimberly said they were at a table where we filled out a yellow card at the front of the  expo.  Which I do recall at the entrance.  My fiance and I are going to check it out.

I also got a phone call from Kimberly. It's weird that they got my information ---I can only think that it was through David's Bridal. It's very odd. I'm very skeptical ...but I know my fiancé will say NO to checking it out. I think this might be a SPAM.

If you pick the vacation, you have to pay $100 to a third party and not the hotel.  It is supposed to go towards the reservation, however in the fine lines it states that they will also be taking out their fee when returning the deposit, and it does not list what "their fee" amount is.  As for getting "free food", you do not.  You shair one piece of chix breast with 20 people.  You get one taste and that's it.  If you don't need cookware, don't go.  They are very honest up front, so it's not a scam but not a great time either.  If you have nothing else to do, then go see for yourself, as long as you can handle high sales pressure.

I too, am actually curious IF any of you have actually gone on one of these "so called" FREE vacations!!
It's the 2nd time I received the CB call
{1st time I blew it off, sounded to good to be true}
BUT this time my fiance and I are actually going to go...check it out...90 minutes won't kill us....if we don't like it, what do we have to lose?

So please, HAS ANYONE taken this "free" vacation....detailed information would be AMAZING!!

PS...the first place I ever looked after I got engaged was....YEP DB
{obviously didn't buy their garbage PLUS very unprofessional}

I am NOT mad at them for selling my information....most unknown calls I DON'T answer, but after CB's 2nd call...I figured WHY NOT!!!

What do you mean sounds good with the employee discount? I'm not an employee. They aren't even from Kentucky, which is where I live. And I mean if you seriously think I'm lying, who in their right mind would choose to say they live in Kentucky?
And since me and my fiance are buying a house, we put our cookware order on hold so they don't run our credit. So far they haven't done anything wrong except annoy everyone with phonecalls.

If you have 90 minutes to waste on someone trying to sell you something that cost a ridiculous amount of money, then go for it. Not me, I found a website that offers a trio set for $599, now that's a deal!!!

Ok so I got this call and thought it sounded legit. Started looking stuff up online and these are the rings for JVL  http://www.jvljewelry.com/JVL-Collection-s/22.htm and this is another site that offers the same rings http://www.tungstenaffinity.com/Tungsten-Wedding-Bands-s/367.htm.   If you will notice JVL is way higher. I'm all for free jewelry, but not some cheaper metal that isn't going to look half as nice. I mean really!!

It is seriously legit. Sat there for what felt like forever to look at cookware, which is amazing by the way. We bought a 8 piece set and got free knife set with it. Got an all exclusive cruise to Bahamas on top of the vacation we already got for showing up. Didn't have to pay a dime or wasn't forced to by anything. We only bought because my fiance has a Passion for cooking. The food was good. The people were nice. Ot jist took forever.

Not all of them have been negative. But I'm going to go, so if its good you have an actual person who's gone and isn't an employee of them as everyone thinks the positive ones are from. If its bad, then I'll let you know. And if you actually read more than half of the comments, they only got the phone call and didn't go.

The fact their number came up as blocked on my cell phone was enough for me not to answer. I never give out my phone number, but against my better judgement went into a David's Bridal, who has clearly sold my information to this company and several others. Unacceptable.

Any sort of "prize" that is of "the highest quality" wouldn't use telemarketers and crummy "marketing" techniques to get you interested in it.

And its pretty obviously that they have people from their own company spamming this site about all of their "wonderful" products and how legit they are. Yes, they are so wonderful and legit that I haven't heard of them.

Anyway, my wedding is in a month. Why would I be interested in a bridal package now? If you're going to telemarket me, at least do your homework a little bit.

No thank you. Stop wasting my time, please.

I just got a call from a blocked number and they left a voicemail. "hi this is Ashley from culinary bride, i'm calling for 'Cee'. I'm calling because we have great news on behalf of your engagement. You were selected for a bridal package! Please give me a call as soon as you get this message...". I automatically knew it was David's Bridal because 'Cee' is the fake name I give out to companies like that. They also keep calling me to see if I want to sign up for their outrageously expensive photography/ wedding planner package, even though I told them the last two times they called that I already bought a dress somewhere else and have my own photographer. They are soulless moneysuckers.

My fiancé and I received a call from culinary bride. We went to a sales presentation and didn't buy anything. After the 90 minute presentation, we took our gift card for wedding bands and went home. We just received our bands in the mail and they look great! Unless you are picky about the bands you want, it's worth it to sit for 90 minutes and save $$ on bands.

I've done it, it's legit.

when you pick the vacation gift and they say you gotta pay $100 its a security deposit from the hotel just like at any hotel and yes if you read the voucher it clearly states its a refundable $100 deposit. the coupons is a company that uses culinary bride as a way to advertise themselves so of course to offer this prize, passport to value needs to make a profit and $4.50 in trade of $1000 is a good deal.  everything is not free in this world but this is not a scam its a great deal.
