Called and left no message.

I had a voicemail on November 26. The message is same. This is the call form state investigation office on downloading a case file. If you don't return the call serious criminal cases would be filed. I think these are some people who want to speak people form other parts of the world and extract money stating that they are from Immigration. They  probably ask for money. I hope someone has reported with authorities.

If it is a MagicJack number, they could be calling from anywhere in the world.  Most likely from India.

Someone named R Cooper left me a message on my phone asking to call back 631-731-3657. I tried that # and it was a Magic Jack #. I called again and a very rude Hispanic sounding guy answered. He said they were from the State Investigation Department of Taxes and that we owed State taxes and if we did not settle out of count or own up to these taxes then they would issue an arrest warrant for us and we will have to deal with the Law after that.

Got a call from this number, the man had a deep Asian accent and message wasn't very clear. Here is the Full Text...
?This message is for [my name]. This is office Mike Johnson calling you from the State Investigation Department. We just thought of giving you a call, we have received an affidavit for (unclear word) validation to investigate of your name and identity in the court of California. So when you get this message give me a call on the number 631-731-3657 i repeat... Please return the call (some mumbo jumbo) for the legal steps, call back as soon as possible."

I called them back and it said Magic Jack customer not available. Now, Why would a real officer from the State Investigation Department have a Magic Jack internet phone number???  And besides why would this officer be calling from East Hampton, NY??? I realized its a scam / fraud / prank call.

Incidentally, I also received another call from someone claiming to be from the IRS from this number 716-703-8638. Here is the full text...
"Hi, This call is from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. This message is for you. As soon as you can you receive this message, I need for you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is officer Shaun White. Hotline to my business 7167038638, I repeat 7167038638. Now, don't try to disregard this message and do return the call. If you don't return the call, and if I don't hear from your attorney either, then the only thing I can do is, wish you good luck. That situation badly unfolds on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message.?

I have reported both these to the FTC at ftc.gov/complaint website.

Got call today from this phone number(631-731-3675) where the caller threatened my wife that legal action will be taken against and police will be sent to my home if we don't get back to them.

OMG, this rat Ron Davis just called me up from this exact same number, 631-731-3657, and gave me the exact same spill. The guy had an Indian accent and said they were from the State Investigation Department of Texas and that we owed State taxes and if we did not settle or own up to these taxes then they would issue an arrest warrant for us and we will have to deal with the Law after that. Oh by the way, there was another person who left a voice mail yesterday at my home and his name is Officer Jack Roberts. Looks like this is a gang of Indian/Pakistani decent crooks trying to extort people fraudulently.

I will be filing a complaint against these b*****ds with the FCC and the Attorney General of Texas.

Got this call just few minutes ago. Asked for me and about unknown pending matters. I am 76 years old and I am retired. Don't know what is all this about....

Received a call today from 631-731-3657. The caller had an accent and claimed to be officer Ron Davis from Massachusetts State Investigation Department. He said it was a legal case and the home owner must call him back or there will be an arrest warrant sent. I told officer Davis the area code 631 was located in Long Island, New York and it had nothing to do with State of Massachusetts. He said he was calling from the head quarter. Pl...ease. I will have my neighbor (Boston Police Detective) call officer Ron Davis. :-)

Got a call from this number 2 weeks ago. Claimed they were calling from Tx Attorney General's office, regarding pending lawsuit against me for various violations. Offerred to settle of court for a payment. First person on phone sounded like an Indian accent. Second person sounded american. Said I would have to call back in next 15 mins to proceed.
