Daily calls. No message.

THESE TURDS CALLED A FEW TIMES THIS WK. NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE.WHEN YOU CALL BACK MORON ON RECORDING SAYS TO ENTER YOUR # FOLLOWING RECORDING. TO BE PLACED ON DNC LIST.AFTER DOING SO, I NOW GET MORE CALLS DAILY, AND EACH WITHIN A CLOSER TIME FRAME!

I have received a call from this number for several consecutive days.

what I have been doing with this caller is annoying them right back.  I have my home phone calls forwarded to my cell...then, I have this number labeled telemarketer..so, when they call, I know it is them.  I always answer it, never speak.  i will just hit the send button and put the phone back where ever it was, pocket, purse, car seat..whatever I am doing, the telemarketer has to listen to kit.  the radio, the grocery store, the treadmill, the tv at night..and if i am lucky enough to be putting a piece of gum in my mouth when they call, they get the crinkling of the plastic pack of dentyne ice gum in their ears!  It is far more annoying for them to have to ask for you a million times and get no answer than for them to listen to ring 10 times and hang up~!  I actually feel good about it afterwards now..instead of getting angry, i feel i have gotten even!  Try it!

typical, lots of calls, never leaves messages. This one says #, then Shelter Island.. Meyer Assoc www.callmeyer.com.  "Lando" a former Fed-Upper researched it:
"631-749-7013 has been calling my house in Huntington, NY this month. The # shows up as Shelter Island. If you call you find out it's Meyer Associates and they have a website: www.callmeyer.com. The website reveals them to be a teleservices for hire company HQd in Minnesota, probably routing calls around the country through local #s that they set up. If you know Shelter Island, you'd agree that this mega-corp is probably not actually there. It's apparently on behalf of a political candidate. To be removed you have to call back during business hours. Of course...I assume they won't remove you until they try to sell you.Caller ID: Shelter Island

Best Answer "Lando" Aug 1ish, 2008" ; who looked up the thread/name of org. (At least as far down as I read thru comments.) As far as getting off list? I haven't tried this 7013 yet. However, I once read a book/article writen by a previous cold-caller (authenticity-don't know), but he said that legally, there was NO LIST TO TAKE PEOPLE "OFF" OF. So, "Take me off your caller list." was useless. In fact he could program the phone to call back in intervals. He would sometimes put these callers and/or rude callers (rude, whatever for?) on a "call every 15 min" interval. He said that you needed to be ADDED to a do not call list to get off. So I don't know if it works for this particular type of pipe-network calling, but for others, I personally, from that article: be polite, and ask them to please add me to their 'do not contact list.'  And depending on my irrational fury factor, if it's low, I ask them what it is I need to get off this particular call list, if linked with other junk call companies, will this remove me from all... make nice. It just can't (???) be a fun job? Who knows it takes all kinds. So take a deep breath, and a little nice goes a long way. Let them teach you (!) on how to be removed or added or whatever. (some even requiring calling or MAILING somewhere!!   It's gotten ______________!

Asked me about the November elections.  I only answered because my wife is out on Shelter Island this week.

Called here yesterday...we never answer unless we recognize the phone #.  I don't know why anyone does.  Maybe we are just not the curious type as figure if they really want to talk to us, they will leave a message.

I agree...this company is not likely to be on Shelter Island.

Called this number back. Machine answers as Maier (Meyer, Mier, etc.) Associates. The message apologizes for failing to reach me on behalf of one of their political clients.

they call several times a day and hang up after two rings
