Their iq must be room temperature.
I will be filing a complaint with fcc for all that is worth.

When they call and you recognize it's not someone you know - hit the receive button and immediately hit the pound (#) sign twice and hang up - it screws up their computer program!!

Another one we let go to voicemail. The recorded message said it was our final chance for under the financial stimulus. This is about the 9th or 10th "final" call we've gotten. As Inigo said in "The Princess Bride""You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Had three calls from ?Card Services? .  The first call I said ?take me off your list,?  they hung up.  The second call I said ?take me off your list?, they apologized and said they would.  The third call I said ?you guys our scammers?, to which the guy said ?that is just a brilliant statement mam,  all you had to do was not answer? to which I replied,  ?all you have to do is not call?.  He then went on to say this was a legitimate business.  When I asked for the company name and phone number he said have a good day and hung up.  What was the start of annoying calls,  has turned into fun.

Everyone,  start calling them scammers,  they won't stop calling,  but you can get them riled up and have some fun.

message is left saying to press 1 to take advantage of a lower interest rate as related to the financial stimulus.  Also, the recorded message indicates that this will be my final notice.  But, I've heard the same message from several different phone numbers over the last week.  There is no mention of a company name or even if it is a credit card service.

They called again today and as usual we did not answer, as we do with numbers we don't know.  They left a message: "This is your second and final message about lowering your credit card interest rates."  They have left this "final" message about a dozen times now.  The do not call list is useless.  Other than collect their fat government paychecks they do absolutely nothing.

Ok you guys here is how to play and I guarantee you will get a kick out it:

Caller:  Would you like to apply for a low interest rate?
You:    Yes
Caller: How much do you owe?
You:  $6000
Caller:  What is your interest rate?
You:  25%
Caller:What is your credit card number?
You: Make up a number (has to be 16 digits long)
Caller:  Last 4 of the social secutiry number
You:  Make up a number
Caller: please hold while I check your information
Caller:  Which Visa card do you hold an account with?
You:  Make up a bank like Bof A or whatever
Caller:  She/he will check records for a few minutes and come up with no useful info since you make it all up anyway
You:  will say 'as long as you keep calling here fricken with my time then each time you call me then I will waist your frickn time'
Caller: Will hang up on you

This is a fabulous good good time and hopfully they take you off there call list, but if they call again have some more Fun!

Just got a call from this number from "Card Member Services" today on Black Friday. I thought it may be a call relating to possible credit card mis-use but low and behold it was these characters. Called back and got the options to speak with an operator, of course they were all on the line, and an option to remove from the list. I am already on the DNC and as I run a call center know that my number shouldn't be called in the first place if they are in compliance.

Time to report them to the FTC.

I've recieved many calls from this automated message.  When I press 1 to speak to some about lowering my credit card rates they tell me it is for "All cards".  I've asked numerous times to have my number removed from their list but they continue to call.

They also are not even kind enough to acknowledge the reqeuest as they simply hang up.

The FTC just took down 5 of these scum suckers. Obviously they have a few more to go.
http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2012/11/robocalls.shtm

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1.    Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list.
2.    Consider blocking the number
3.    Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4.    Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5.    People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office.
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

I have greatly reduced the number of calls to my cell phones by going to my carriers website (Verizon) and they allow me to block up to 5 numbers for 90 days. Since these scum change numbers every 30 I have had a very peaceful time. Call me once shame on you, call me twice shame on me. I also put it in my contacts list under Scum Suckers and assign it NO ring tone so at least after the first call they won't bother me anymore (I have filled all of the numbers in each and am up to Scum Sucker 47 now). This is only a whack-a-mole solution however it is the only one I can offer.
If you want to stop these calls then you need to dry up their revenue source. Your phone company is charging you a fee for caller ID. Your phone company pays the scammer for sending their caller ID information. Your phone company pays only a fraction of a cent per call and you pay $5 to $15 to your phone company. The scammers send out millions of calls per day which amounts to a significant amount of money however your phone company is charging a large amount to millions of customers. This may have something to do with the phone companies inability to stop these calls. You can also see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them. These people are the lowest form of filth on this planet.
In order to stop this we need legislation making it illegal to charge for caller ID. If a phone service wishes to operate it would need to provide the caller ID at no charge to other phone providers and to it's customers as part of the service. Here is the $50,000 solution that the FCC is looking for and it doesn't cost anything.
Many of the disposable numbers come from Pacific Telecom Communications Group and they are currently under investigation and in the midst of various lawsuits. (The principles involved have been part of actions by the FCC under other business names). Here is an excellent blog site that I found that explains how this company is getting away with this activity.

Received a call AGAIN today from these apparent scammers.  Recorded message was about lowering interest rates.  I have 0%.  Can they beat that?  I'm sure they are not legitimate. I do not answer the phone from unknown numbers.   I block the numbers of scammers and telemarketers each time I get a call.  This one won't give up.  Usually, their number appears to start with a V.  This time, caller ID started with a V and there was a NYS phone number as the number.  I reported them, as always, to the Do Not Call Registry.  You should do the same.  Every time.  The Registry is severely understaffed, but they DO work on shutting down the worst offenders, so keep them informed about these persistent scoundrels.

If you gave credit card information, call your credit card company immediately and tell them of the situation.  You should probably cancel your credit card and have a new one issued.

Received a call from 631-773-1043.  No message.  A few minutes previous I received a call from 718-416-6103. Both are New York prefixes and I have no reason to believe that they are the same scammer. Thanks to all who entered the information above on this number.  Both numbers have been added to my NY Scammer profile.
