The guy says that his name is Nick Russo, and acting like him and my boss go way back.  Why can't they just be honest! Do give them anything!

they are a real organization!  They are annoying and dushbagish, but I donate to all the police funds!  Least I could do for they put there lives on the line every day for our saftey.  Now, I dont know what they do with the money!  However, THey do give u badges and cards for the donation.  They also put u in a busniess book for adervertising ur place!!!!!!!!!!!  I believe this to be the truth .

They now call on a Restricted Number. I paas that to voicemail and get: 631-789-8304.  They Use name Bob Davis.  I am now using that phone number for getting auto / health insurance quotes.  EAT ME OUT BOB DAVIS AND NICK.  Ha  Ha..................Ha.

Thanks for posting this.  I just got a call from Nick Russo.  He left a message on my machine.  I thought it sounded funny, so I looked up the #.  Thanks for the info!  :)  I remember now that I DID speak with him a few years ago, it was for some police fundraising thing, and when I told him I was not interested, I got hung up on too!

I just got this call an hour ago at work. Telling me to call Bob Davis at 631-789-8304. I think this is (or is purporting to be) some police/detective organization. We get calls like this a lot. Sometimes they will ask for my boss, and when I tell them "he isn't here at the moment, can I take a message?" and they will just abruptly say "thank you" and rudely hang up. Quite often it is from a guy named Nick Russo (whose name I saw in some of the above posts).

I received a phone message from 631-379-8304 asking me to call Bob Davis, no other message. When I called the number the recptionist would just ask if she could help me not what was the business name. This has scam written all over it, be ware.

I HAVE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM NICK RUSSO'S OFFICE ASKING FOR DONATION , I DIDNT WANT TO TALK TO THE GUY. HE CALLED ME 3 TIMES. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO COME DOWN TO MY PLACE. THEN  NICK RUSSO [HIMSELF] CALLED AND LEFT THIS NUMBER 789-8304. THEY HAVE'T SHOVED UP AT MY PLACE YET.I HAVE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON THEIR FACE. ONCE YOU HELP THEM , THEY  KEEP CALLING YOU.AND I DON'T THINK THEY ARE FOR REAL.

ALSO RECEIVED CALL FROM BOB DAVIS JUST LEFT THE NUMBER 631-789-8304
WHEN I CALLED THEY WOULD NOT TELL ME THE NAME OF THE COMPANY I WAS CALLING, BUT RATHER JUST ABRUBTLY TRANSFERRED ME TO HIS LINE. I HUNG UP.

RECIEVED A CALL FROM SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE BOB DAVIS REPRESENTING SUFFOLK COUNTY DETECTIVE AGENCY LOOKING FOR DONATIONS WAS VERY RUDE, AND NEVER HEARD OF THIS ORGANIZATION, BEWARE LEFT NUMBER 631-789-8304.

same thing left a message and acted like he was calling on "official business" from Detective's office.  when i called back i asked if this was the suffolk county detectives office and the receptionist was vague and acted as if she couldnt hear me.  Another scam. period.  why cant they be honest.

I got a call from "Nick Russo" also.  He left a message, "Nick Russo here, call me back 9-5 Monday through Thurs." or some such curt message.

I hate these "Police Fund Raisers" or who ever they are.  They are full of crap and you should hang up on them ASAP.  Sometimes they are the "State Police" or the "Detectives Union" or something.  They act real nice like you've known them all your life and as soon as you say "not interested" the don't miss a beat and hang up on you.
