calls all of the time and hangs up!

ESM Inc 631-924-4277 rang three times, call ended. No message.
631 area is Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. Checked NYS Dept of State Division of Corportions "No business entities were found under Active. Looked through short database beginning with EMS and found no such entity in Suffolk County. Found ESM Inc under inactive in Queens County. Made contact at corporations@dos.state.ny.us telling them an inactive corporation in NY may be making out of state calls and may be fraud. If this continues I'll notify my state's attorney general. Filed number with Do Not Call Registry.

I got a call (dialer hung up) immediately after call from (303) 238-5792 (several calls from this number, this caller also hangs up).

Caller knows my name and address and tells me it is time to get my furnace cleaned.  I asked her where she got my number and she won't tell me.

CALLER HUNG UP WHEN ANSWERING MACHINE ANSWERED.

This is going on too long Verizon has to step in. Please everyone getting this call call Verizon customer service and lodge a complaint. Some telemarketer is getting paid by the phone call.

I am having the same problem but will report it to the attorney general in the morning, had no idea there were so many people going through the same problem.

Caller ID reads 631-924-4277 and ESM INC.  When I picked up the phone, there was silence and then a click and a dial tone.  What an annoyance (I get three to five such calls per day, from various numbers).

SO, fill me in on this annoyance...what is the point???
