12-10-11 talking in background, person said number 6, not sure of phone number.   on 12-26-11 recording-message same as past calls. female caller-your account, there is no problem with your account. It is urgent you contact us about your account. didn't get number. some past calls are from # 631-960-2362 these calls do not give a names who the call is for or the company name. I think the callers use different phone numbers. Scam?

11-2-11 hang up. 11-3-11 AM noise in back ground then hung up.  a little over an hour another call-message-Billy calling for Bobby then hung up.  11-10-11 thought a friend was calling back so I answered phone-hello, said friends name hello again, then person hung up. *69 for the # 312-878-2423 online search showed call came from Chicago, IL. county: Cook    on 11-16-11 message:about part of Stimulus package.   on 11-17-11 female caller-no problem with your account to lower interest rates etc. past calls from this # 631-960-2362   on 11-27-11 scratchy sound people talking, then hung up.   on 11-28,29,30-2011 hang ups.  Pranks and Scams

9-20-11  female caller, Your Credit Card Account, there is nothing currently wrong with your credit card account. to lower interest rates-press 1-2? for more Info, Press 3 to stop calls. The caller did not give a name who she is calling for, her name or company name. Prank/Scam? did not get a number but this message is a repeat of past calls I do have the number for. unless another phone was used.  9-21-11 phone off most of the day, in the eve one hang up.  9-22-11 PM I answered the phone, male caller saying-FBI reports show, there is a home break-in every 15 seconds. no name of person or business given at the start of the call so I hung up.  9-24+27-11 hang up. not sure if a few of the last calls are from this same number.  10-8+9-11 close to same time IN THE am, scratchy sound then person hung up. 10-9-11 pm call a whistle-sound like a bomb/firecracker.-Pranks   early Oct. 2011 had a few calls from this number, about _ _ _ _ ? I have been receiving calls about lowering my credit interest. I finally
got a phone number on my ID today, and the number is 1-657-269-7794,
I called the number back to see what they would say, and it said this
is a box number; so I know it is a scam. I called ATT, because this is
on my land phone, but they only said it was not a good phone number.
I don't see how that would be possible. I am on the DO NOT CALL
list; so I would like to report it to them. I am not sure how to do this.
I even get calls telling me that there has been too much activity on
my Debit card (don't have one) they ask if I am so and so, when I
push the #1, then someone comes on. I asked what name is on
the card, and the girl said she couldn't pronounce it (this was on
my cell phone# I am on the cell phone DO NOT CALL list too.
Please advise people of these scams.

got call from this number and did try calling back and only get a message in spanish and english saying the person you are calling is not available, i did not answer the call and no message was left on voice mail

i get this call on a daily basis. TODAY though, i listened through the message. said it was cardholder services. i figured it wasn't anything legit. it said to press 9 to be connected to a live person. so i did. as soon as he answered he said card holder services. how can i help you. i said i would like to be taken off your call list. and he hung up on me. HELLO. not a legit business

I keep on getting this call about lowering interest rate on the visa or mastercard. I finally decided to dial 9, and when I ask the person who was this call for she hung up.  This call comes in a few times a week. and it is very  annoying.  I belieive this is a spam call

This is a constant annoyance of robocalls to my cell phone.  The "from" number seems to switch around so they don't get caught.  Last one was from this number.  When I have stayed on the line to talk to somebody, they just hang up if you start complaining.

The caller id says it is from a cell phone in NY.  It is an automatic number whichs asks you to press 9 to talk to someone about lowering your credit card interest rates.  They used to call from a 360 area code number and have recently switched to this NY number.  I get this call at least once a week.  At first I would just hang up then as I recognized the number I would simple not answer - but I tired of them calling so I pressed 9 to have them remove me from their calling list.  When I got to a person I was telling them so and then they hung up on me!  How do I get them to stop calling and who do I report them to?

I asked that my work number be removed, she told me that a supervisor had to do it and said she was going to put me on hold. Hung up on me instead.

I can settle how they were able to "verify" the first number of your credit card.  It is quite easy.
If your credit card is a Visa, the first number is a 4.
If it is a Master Card, it will be a 5.
Discover is a 6 and American Express is a 3.
All in the world that first number tells anyone is what kind of a card it is.  Other than that, it means nothing.

I have been called four times by these people.  The last time was about 1/2 an hour ago.  When I tried to tell them to take my name off of their list, I was rudely interrupted and asked if I wanted to lower my credit card interest.  When I replied that I don't the caller promptly hung up without letting me finishe my request to be removed from their list.  Who, on a Federal level, can I report Barbara Britania to in order to permanently get her off my back?

I received a call from this number at 8:30pm tonight.  I didn't pick up and they left no message.

Today my cell phone was barraged by 2 spam texts AND 2 telemarketing calls -- one of which was from this number.

I've noticed a sharp increase in the amount of cell phone spam (both texts and calls) this past month. Telemarketers have been an annoyance for quite some time, but recently it's been like an all-out *assault.* I have a feeling it's all connected to the same group of spammers.

Why is our government bothering to make half-assed laws that they have no serious intention of enforcing?

Just recieved a call from 631-960-2362 and after I said hello I thought I heard an actual person but it was the automated system...I'm guessing kicking in. I waited and pressed 9 I think it was and there was a guy that asked me if I wanted to lower my interest rate on my cc. I asked him what cc and he said which one would you like lowered? I thought okay if you are calling from my cc company or someone affliated with them you should be giving me the information not me giving it to you. He then said do you have a visa,mastercard, or discover and I asked which one he was refering to again and he didn't say anything. After a few seconds he didn't say anything and I said hello and he hung up!

Total Scam....this was my cell phone and I'm on a do not call registry so I wonder how they could get this number. Either way DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO REGARDING YOUR CC!!!

I received a call today and talked to a man offering to lower my credit card interest.  He said he was representing Bank of America, Chase and others.  He asked for my credit card number and when I refused, he got rude and called me a SOB.   I then asked for his name and he hung up.  I immediately called Bank of America and reported this number and canceled 3 credit cards in my and my wife's name.  Maybe BA can get this calling stopped when they start losing customers.

They have called numerous times since December.  Their telephone number changes regularly.  I have asked the caller to remove our number from their list. On other occasions, I have asked for the company name and telephone number.  The caller hung up abruptly.  On Friday, 2/26/2010 the same scammer/ ID theft ring called and my Mom answered. The day before my mom had called her CC company regarding the interst rate so she believed that "Mastercard" was calling her back with a special offer.  My Mom gave the caller her Mother's maiden name and the last 4 digits of her SS # when asked.   There were other questions.... When my mom explained she pays off account monthly, the caller said something rude and hung up.
We've called the credit card company and reported to the FTC.  Now, we're calling the credit bureaus & Social Security.

I had one this morning too from this number.  Wasn't home to answer it.  If that's who it is, they keep calling from different numbers.  Have pushed 9 to talk to someone and have been hung up on and swore at, but they still keep coming.  I don't own a credit card and I am on the Do Not Call List.  Really ticking me off!

When I tried to call back it said the caller was not accepting calls right now. LOL what scam they trying to pull now?

Just missed a call from (631) 960-2362 it's odd because this is a work cell phone. I googled the number and says it's from a place called Islip New York never heard of it. They did not leave amessage

Got a call from this number at our business.  I answered it because it showed up on the caller ID as wireless caller and I thought it was a customer.  It was a recording saying that they could help to reduce interest rates on credit cards!!  I pressed 9 to speak to someone and told the woman that answered that I wanted to be removed from their calling list.  She got huffy and told me that she was just an answering service and needed the name of the owner of the company and the phone number??  It got very heated and she called me a rude b**ch!  Nice group of people.

I then called the number on the caller ID and got some guy's voice mail.  There is obviously some sort of scam and by showing up as "wireless caller" I am sure a lot of people are answering their calls.

these people want your credit card information so thay can empty your bank accounts.

This is a fishing scam for information.  They can not identify you accounts and want you to do it... they are crooks...

when told to remove from list, one of them actualy told me he wouldn't and said that I was rude to him (true) and that he would be calling me early in the morning every morning for weeks.

guess we will see  ... Im thinking fire whistles or blare horns.
