I've received several missed calls from this number over the past month.  I have not answered however.  Seems to be some kind of phishing scam?  I will answer next time to get some more information.  

I did some other searches and it seems to be from the Philippines. Probably from a telemarketing call center - lots of complaints can be found online about calls from that "area code".

Just got call. I'm in the (214) area code  Didn't answer and they didn't leave message.

I received a call as well from this number and all I got was this tunnel sounding noise. so I hung up That was strange... HUMM why do they not say anything?

if it is a bill collector  they should let you know who it is that is calling you.

Called twice in a row says unknown name

I got a call and told them not to call, they asked me if I got a call for collections or the stock market, sounds like a Phishing Scam. They are trying to Social engineer info from people.

I got a call from this number twice today. A female asked if I got a call from my broker. I questioned them because I do not have a broker. They then asked if I traded online. The woman said "Thanks" and hung up. I called back and it was no longer a working number.

I get these calls from this number and they do not leave a message.

Got a call from this number which came in on my fax line. No message. I would tend to agree with the others, don't talk with them. There is too much they can obtain about you over the internet, if they know you are truly at your number. They can get your name, address, telephone, age, full date of birth, it goes on. Be careful with them.

Received call today, but did not answer. Decided to Google the area code, and ran into this website.  thanks for listening.

THESE SCAMMERS CALL EVERYDAY. I TELL THEM EVERY TIME THAT THIS IS A REGISTERED DO NOT CALL NUMBER, THEY JUST DONT GET IT AND DONT CARE.

FEMALE CALLED ASKING IF MY STOCKBROKER CALLED ME YET.. WHEN I STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT HER, THE COVER STORY IS THAT THEY WORD FOR AN INDAPENDENT RESEARCH FIRM. PHISHING SCAM.

This # called my inside work line and said hey Jamie, did you look at the stock market today.  I was like huh?  This is a law firm you are calling and why are you asking me about the stock market?  She said oh I'm sorry and hung up.  Scary how they knew my name.  They must have called another time and went into my voicemail and heard me say my name.  These people are pretty slick.

A female has called twice from this number on two different days - one was today.  She asks for a person living at this residence but cannot even pronounce the name correctly.  Also wants to talk about stocks and investing.  My advice - hang up immediately.

Just received a call on my cell from this number.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a msg.  Looks like they are still at it.

Got a call today (1-19-10) on my cellphone from 632 706 2450.  After picking up, the lady on the other end was quiet for 10-15 seconds before finally asking for someone named Janice.  Her connection had quite a bit of static, and didn't sound very professional at all.  

I told her she had a wrong number (since I don't even know a person named Janice) and she quickly hung up, though oddly not before apologizing.

Keep getting calls from this phone #..Rosylyn asks for me by my first name..  I finally decided to say it was me, and she asked me if I had spoken to my broker today.  I told her no, and that my phone # is on the do not call list.  She replied that she is not a telemarketer.  I then got angry and told her I that I know she is a scammer and that I had looked her # up on google.  She said she didn't understand.  I said what English..I asked her not to call me back.  We'll see if she listens.

Yet another call in less than 30 minutes .....

This time I answered it as the Hampton Police Department ... and boy was that asian girl screwed up.  I asked her what her emergency was and she said she had no emergency she must have the wrong number ....

She would not give me any information, just hung up the phone

Received a call from this number again this evening.  This is the third time they have called and I have not answered the line, and each time they have sat on the line for over two minutes eating up the answering machine.

On the second call, I answered the phone (first at 3:30, second at 7:30) and I said I was my roommate and I'd take a message with phone number. I pressed her and pressed her and she didn't give me any information other than asking me if I really thought she was a telemarketer. She said that she needed to ask me one question and she'd call back later. I told her, as my roommate, that I'd deliver the question and call back with an answer and she refused to give the question so I hung up on her. So obnoxious!!

At 8:30pm PST on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 I received a call from this number, asking me by name.  I said, "she's not here, can I take a message", and the guy (with what sounded like a Southern accent) said, "No, I'll call back next week."  I hate this kind of crap!  Our phone number is unlisted, so where do they get it.

It's 9:39 pm on a Sunday night (!) and I just rec'd a call from 632-706-2450.  My Caller ID said Name Not Found.  I pressed talk but didn't say anything. I just listened.  It was silent for a good half minute, then the caller spoke my first name... then again!  I continued listening and a busy signal eventually kicked in.  Interesting that so many posts here say that it's a scam where the caller wants personal stock info.  Thank heavens for Caller ID.

Have received 2 calls to my cell from these knuckleheads in less than 24 hours. Not sure what their game is but I'm not having any of it.

They called me and asked if I participated in the stock market.  I said no and they hung up.  Be careful, it sounds like a gigantic scam if you give them anymore information.

They called asked for me I said I wasn't home to leave a message. They said no they will call back and hung up. FOR SURE IT IS A SCAM BECAREFUL!!!

Got a call at 9:00 PM on a Wednesday. A guy named Bob said he wasn't sure if he had the right information, but it was his understanding that I had invested in the stock market, he wondered if I still did. Sounded like a male in his late 20s; I told him I was suspicious of 632 numbers and he said he was in Jersey and that's probably just the server the number was going through. I asked him why he wanted to know about my investing and he said he was an independent consultant working with companies such as Charles Schwaab and doing research for them.

Just received a call from this number 632-706-2450 at 9:10 pm after the calling hours are over for telemarketers.  I did not answer the call because I have caller ID and the number showed along with UNKNOWN CALLER.  The $7.00 per month I spend on caller ID is well worth it.  Over 75% of my phone calls I no longer answer.  I am not behind in any of my payments for my credit cards or mortgage so none of these callers have reason to call me.  I hope they read these postings because they will never talk to me!  I wish these telemarketers and scammers would go get a real job.  Sorry to say you can't trust anyone anymore in this country.  Do NOT ever give out any information over the phone.  If a bank or someone legitimate needs more information for their records they will send you something in the mail and then you can also verify where it came from to make sure it is real.

It keeps calling various times of the day.  Everything I read is saying that it fraudlent.  The number calling is 632 706-2450.  It would be great to stop this number from calling.  thx  k
