My CitiMortgage consultant has a very similar phone number. 636-261-8###.

I have received several voicemails from someone leaving the call-back # of 888-671-4581; he does not say why he is calling or from where he is calling. Both voicemails have said briefly, "You need to give me a call about your mortgage." It's creeping me out because my mortgage is not through them, nor have I ever had any accounts with them, and my mortgage through my other bank is auto-deducted on the first of each month and so therefore never late. This must be a scam. When I called the # he left, I got a computerized message thanking me for calling Citi Mortgage and that no reps were currently available and it disconnected.

Good reason NEVER do business with CITI, they sold my phone number (i have a sears card processed by CITI). Finally traced it down to CITI Mortgage group who uses a call center in Omaha NE. I called them three times, the first two times they tried to sell me grocery coupons and refused to tell me the name of the company, after being transfered, a warm body answered the phone CITI Mortgage, what is your name and social security number.  Cancelling my sears card.....never do business with CITI......I work in the finance industry.....never do business with CITI.

On 2/28/13 I received 15 calls between 1:15pm to 2:41pm on a single day.

I received a call from 636-261-2484 the caller identified himself as Jason Wood calling from windows, I did not know it was a scam. My neice had told me to contact Microsoft about problems I was having with my computer. I thought he was for real I allowed him to walk me through some steps on the computer because according to him I had a lot of errors and warnings. after a period of time and different steps he was allowed to operate my computer he then asked me to pay $125.00 to correct the problem, of course I stated I did not have the money to call me back in about six weeks. I did a telephone number lookup and learned the call had come from Citi Mortgage located in St. Peters, Missouri, or Ofallon . this man pulled a scam because I do not owe Citi Mortgage or Citi Bank I have a friend who at one time used this number and was indebted to Citi Bank. It is redicilious how a major bank would go to such distance and employees would go to such length to keep a job. I am going to report this to my state attorney general office tomorrow morning I do have the documentation to back this up.

It's just CitiMortgage, not any department in particular. It's not just their collections, it's a phone number for general Citi calls. We have an account with them & it was our loan adjuster calling with an update on our HARP II status. If you're paranoid about them calling because you don't think you have a Citi account, just call them back & talk to someone about it. Could also be that your mortgage company sold your account to them, so just call them already!

Mr. Voskuil keeps getting the above number called to his company cell phone and would like to get his cell phone number off the list.  What can we do to get this company or person from calling his cell phone.

I work for the Baker County School Board and we keep getting calls from Citimortgage without anyone on the line.  It sounds automated.  We are a school district and we should not be receiving calls from Citimortgage.

I keep getting these calls with no voice mail message almost every day. The area code is always different, coming from somewhere in the United States.  I see by the blogs, these calls are really random coming from CitiMortgage or NOT.

I keep receiving calls from the number. I have been called countless times and have told them to remove me from the call list. They keep calling me... even though I was told that I was removed.

I have been a customer with CitiMortgage for 10 years. I always pay my mortgage payment between the 14th - 16th online or by phone for the last 10 years.  All of a sudden, the last couple months, I started receiving 'reminder' calls after the first of each month reminding me that my mortgage is late and when can I make a payment? I tell them they will receive my payment by the 15th or 16th as I have been paying for 10 years. I tell them to leave me alone and stop calling me as I consider it harrassment. Yet, they still call me on my cell phone. I called them back today and said that they need to stop harrassing me or I will be talking to a lawyer about harrassment. They then said I can send a "cease & desist" letter and transferred me around and put me on hold for 20 minutes but I never got anyone on the phone.  I feel like I should not have to send a cease and desist letter if I am not delinquent, in default and my account is not in collections.  How can I stop this? Is there any legal actions I can take on them???

We have no mortgage with Citymortgage but yhay keep calling even ask for some one else Told not to call over and over. Calling as late as 9pm and saying good afternoon. Calling on sunday moring and afternoon We are no call list.

I have them calling me all the time. I have had a mortgage with them for since 2001 when they brought my mortgage from another bank. I always pay my mortgage automatically on the 10th of the month For years this arrangement was ok. About 6 months ago citibank decided they want everyone paying on the 1st of the month  they wanted to collect more interest on the money as a result they began harrassing people starting the first of the month if your mortgage isn't paid. I argued with them about this saying it isn't even considered late yet and you are calling me. I was told it doesn't matter they want the money on the 1st of the month because of all the bad debt they have they need to recoup where they can.   I told them go screw yourself I will keep paying on the 10th. So now when they call if I am home alone I pick up the phone wait for a human voice and just SCREAM at the top of my lungs into that persons ears and hang up. If I am out I ignore them completely
If we all scream at them their offshore turnover will be huge and their efforts will be costly since they will keep having to train people. This  will stop them from harassing people.

Because of this, I will never do business with CitiGroup.

My husband and I started receiving phone calls from this number about 6 months ago. They tend to call for about 2 weeks, non stop then quit for awhile only to start again about a month later. They have both of our cell numbers. My phone rings and literally 30 seconds after I don't answer, my husband's phone rings. The calls have now stopped again. We never answer or call back. I figure if they truly want something they will mail a letter or leave a message. How irritating!

I started getting these calls about a week ago from 636-261-2484 with the caller ID of Citimortgage.  Each time I'd answer, there was no one there.  Finally, on 12/7/11, I called the number back and was referred to an 800 number.  I decided to follow up and call that number.  I was asked by the automated answerer to input my mortgage number.  Something I'm fortunate enough to NOT have. So I hit "0" repeatedly and got a  live person.

I explained to that person that I didn't have a Citi mortgage.  She asked for some identification information which I gave.  She told me the calls would stop within 24 hours.  I then asked her what was the point of calling me and hanging up over and over.  She could not answer that question, she only said it was automated calling and it would stop in 24 hours.

My initial anger at this harassing technique hasn't really subsided.  It seems to me this sort of technique (even if I had a mortgage that was late) isn't very ethical.  I'm not sure these is much practical to be done about this.  Sigh.

Citimortgage called from 636-261-2484 two weeks ago and asked if I was making a payment this month.  I explained that I had lost my job in August and that I could not dig into savings anymore to make my monthly mortgage payment.  The rep was very pleasant and gave me a 1-800 to call when I find work so they can help get my mortgage back on track.  End of conversation.

The next day I started receiving 4-6 calls per day from the same 636 number.  The calls start around 8:00am and end around 9:00pm every day.  Each time I answer there is no one there.  This morning a womans voice did say hello but hung-up as soon as I responded.

Not sure what their goal is by calling every day is but I finally put the number in my blocked list as the calls are non-productive and harrassing in frequency.

636-261-2484 started calling my husband's cell phone incessantly after he changed his number. They say he has a mortgage from Citi Group and then ask him for his name. He said his name was Bob Loblaw lol. We dont have a mortgage. I was worried maybe there was some identity theft, but after reading these posts I realize its a phishing scam.

The harrassing calls coming from this # have been reported since 2008. My husband has been getting them and we have no mortgage. This is not CitiGroup

I am tired of these people, they keep calling day & night.  How can I stop their calls?

Yes it is annoying and they do call 3-4 times a day.

I have reported this to the manager at Citimortgage so whatever it is worth but it is reported.

This number is from the dark side of C M.....they are hateful.....give them hell.....

I received phone calls daily from the 636 number as well as from citimortgage.  I have expressed to them numerous times that the individual they want changed his number and now it belongs to me.

The last time I received a call from citimortgage the gentleman told me to fax a letter to this number 866-675-5772 explaining to them that I request my number to be removed from the call list.  

I have not received a call since I submitted the fax.

Am getting calls from that number every day! I never answered though. But they keep calling, never leave messages.  Going on for months.

This number rang my cell at 6AM, then hung up, then again about 7AM and hung up. Again a 8AM, this time they said it CitiMortgage called to check to see if I would be making my payment this month. I do NOT have any payment/loans/accounts with any Citi organization.

I keep telling them to take me off their call list but I still get three calls a day.  I am paid up on my loan too.  This is harassment!!!!  This has been going on for well over a year!!!!!!!!!!!!
