i said hello twice and he asked for my husband i am like what do u want i am his wife and why are you calling him hes at work he claimed to be from consumer credi and that my husband owed lik 5,000 in debt and i said no he dont i know how much he owes and i said that is the reason why our number is private dont call again take me off your list

Got a call from this number.  Asked for me.  I hung up because I knew it was a telemarking call. He called immediately right back and said "dont you hang up on me you b***h.  F*** off.  This is your father" and hung up.  

My father is dead.  

I tried to call the number back and got the recording 'this number is disconnected.'  No link to a website.  A complete scam.

I have ben receiving three calls a day from this number for the last three days.  I never answer because I don't know the number and now after reading this I'm glad I haven't.  How do you get them to stop.

I got a call from this number at 2:01pm today. Didn't answer it because I didn't know the number, I am grateful for all of this info though so I know to definitely not answer now. Where is this guy getting the numbers he is calling!

I keep getting calls from this number but it's similar to some regular calls I expect.  I've asked to be taken off the list but now they tell me they refuse.  Then when he proceeded to repeat everything I said to him when I asked why I couldn't be taken off the list.  Be careful if answering for this number.

This guy kept calling my cell phone for week.I picked up and told him to call back since I was driving. I finally picked up the phone again after twenty calls and knew it was a scam. When I told him I was not interested he told me he would come over and kick my a**.I told him he was vulgar and had very poor customer service. A scam for sure. By the way when you try to call him back the number is disconnected. This guy needs to be put in prison. He was very vulgar on the phone and threatned me.

Got a phone call from this number today telling me that I owed 10K in credit card debt.  Funny....I don't have ANY credit cards.  When I laughed and told him this he started cursing me out.  This man had a very thick far eastern accent, when I asked him if he was a legal, or if he had a green card he hung up on me.

I just got a call from them.... when I wouldn't give them my number the "Supervisor" called me a "Stupid F****ng a** whole".  If they call
me again I WILL comply until I find this jerk...now I want them to call.

This company that is calling is a lead company for debt settlement and consalidation companies. They ask basic questions and if you need assistance with your debt, they will refer you to a company that may be able to help. If you do not need the assistance, then let them know that you don't need the help at all. They get your number from a variety of sources. Some people either had derogitory marks on their credit or inquired about debt assistance online and your information is shared. It does not excuse their rudeness in any way. Their purpose is to make money by referring you to a debt company. If you are patient or need the help its worth looking into. It does not cost anything to inquire at all. It is not a scam. I know something about the process. But as I said the rudeness is unfortunate and unacceptable.

I get calls from this number almost every day. They insist that I owe "more than 8,000 in credit card debts" I've asked numerous times to be removed from their calling list to no avail. Calling this number give a "number not in service" prompt

called today at 3pm asked for me by name, i never confirmed that i was who they were asking for, i asked what the call was in regards to and he(man with a middle eastern accent)went on to explain that he knew i was in serious debt and having great financial difficulties  again i asked what the phone call was for he said he was not selling me anything but wanted to help with my debt, i told him that if he thought i was going to give him personal information, evening confirming my name over the phone then he was crazy and he hung up

I have told them that I did not inquire about their services and that I am not interested in their services - but they don't care. They keep demanding personal financial information that they have no right to demand. I always tell them that I am on the do not call list. Then they start yelling at me that everyone is on the do not call list. I told them not to call again, but they call almost every day. It's either a black guy or a middle eastern guy. They are definitely scam artists because they don't have a verifiable business or phone # where you can call them back. They just want to get all your financial info out of you - and when you don't cooperate they start to verbally abuse you and yell at you. I always hang up - or they hang up if I ask them a question. I recommend to call the police. That's what I did. I hope they go to jail for all the poor people that fell victim to this credid card scam.

This is a consumer debt corporation.  I am about to scream at their rudeness!  What can I do to get these idiots to stop!

I thought I was the only one. This middle eastern guy called me as well and also knew my name. He claimed to be from Consumer Reports. I contacted this company and they assured me that this was not one of their employees and suggested that I google the #. This guy was wanting to know if I had $5000 in credit card debt. I asked him where he got my number and he said that it was from some marketing database. I asked him to take my name off his list twice and then he said What are you some kind of a$$hole or something?!" I said excuse me and he said it again and said just don't say anything and hang up! Just don't say anything and hang  up...That was a little creepy to me!! I kind of felt threatened!!

I got the same call from a Middle Eastern sounding man. I told him that he had caught me just in time as I was going to kill myself due to my excess debt and was so pleased that he could help.

He hung up on me................

The comments here so far are indicative of my experience when I got a call from this number this afternoon around 5:00 p.m. MDT. The man on the phone was obviously from India. You should note that anyone with a T-1 setup can use any originating number they want, and I doubt that Mr. Crowe in Missouri has anything to do with this scam.

This number called my workplace and knew my name as well.  I told him never to call my workplace again and hung up.

Called over 15 time in an hour period, I got extreamly mad and yelled at him repeatedly which he dished out right back. Almost threatened to kill him, lol, Consumer Debt is what he said and even asked what I'd do when my mother dies. TOTAL JERKS.

Wife took a call from a mideastern accented man who said he was from Consumer Debt.  He wanted to know if she knew her husband had several unpaid debts accumulating.  She told him no and goodbye.  The number was 636-271-9829 and they called to Oswego County, New York area.

Got a phone call from this number today. I didnt answer because I didnt know the number. Usually I dont answer unless I know who it is or if they leave a message. Googled the number and saw that everyone has had a pretty bad experience with this guy. I have had a message left before on my phone and I think it was this guy from a 407 number I think. He was very rude and vulgar in the messages so I knew it was not a serious call. Hopefully he is stopped.

I just got a phone call from this #. He told me that he is from an attorney firm (Federal Comsumer Report Agency, ..) and I have a debit $10,000 or something (he tried to confuse me over the phone ...) The man on the phone was obviously from India. He was very rude and kind of threatening ...  Know my name and address (these days, not very difficult to find over internet). I asked him what he wanted. He answered shortly and then hange up the phone.
Hope that won't happen again. Otherwise, consider to call police.

I am so tired if these folks calling me.  As stated they are rude, abrupt and are nothing but a pain in the butt.  I hate to not answer my phone, but from now on, if I don't know the number I won't answer.  Interesting that when I called the number back, it said the number was disconnected.

no, their accent are not mideastern.  I have many friends from India, and I can tell you they are call center employee from India.  THose poor guys just doing cold calls try to refer your busines to debt consuling business.  There is no way going after them, since they are from Inda.  Every time they call, I would try my best to wast a good 15 min of their time, and been refer to the business, normally are financial debt groups, and normally here in US with a good website and good phone number.  Then I ask them to stop the call.  It will work for a week, and the call from some other number will come back. I believe they just sale my number around.

Just got a call while I was googling.  He started out saying I had $5000.00 worth of credit card debt.  I said no, I don't.  He said do you have medical bills?  No, I don't. I told the guy (Middle Eastern accent) that I was reading on line what scam artists they were.  He explained to me that the 636-271-9829 number was a computerized number and that they had no control over it.  I told him I was on the DO NOT CALL list and why was he calling me.  He was very defensive about the number.  I suggested he google the number himself and read what it says.  He very quickly said if I had no debt, he was sorry to have bothered and to have a good evening and then hung up.

Man called and asked for me.  I explained I was on another call and could I take a message.  He hung the phone up.  I looked up their number and have found reports of their being scam artists trying to find out your debt situation.

Some Consumer Debt company was calling with a 407-957-5956 and I blocked that number and now calling using 636-271-9829.  These are middle eastern accent people that want to know how much debt I have and begin yelling at me if I don't cooperate.  I have been trying to get them to quit call for mos

and first thing they say is you have a debt of $5000 of credit card company. and i ask them what is the card i use. then hang up. or cut off. because they have no prove. the best way is "DO NOT ANSWERS THE TELEPHONE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE NUMBERS OR THEY ARE NOT ON YOU PHONE LIST"....
BECAUSE I HEARD THAT IF WE PICK UP.....WE MIGHT GET RIDICULE CHARGE FROM PHONE COMPANY...ALSO CHECK YOUR BILL EVERY MONTH....OR COMPARE WITH THE LAST MONTH. TO MAKE SURE.

Yes, I got the same repeated phone calls for a long time - and they now sound like scam artists - probably mad men who stalk women and try to scare them using these vague agencies as a ruse to make unsolicited phone calls and try methods of contact for other purposes really. Hopeful they got arrested by police.
