Keep getting calls from this number - no one on the line when I answer. Since I'm on the Do Not Call list reported it!

This is a scammer folks.

Mo. State Troopers, your local Sheriff's Dept. and your local Police Dept. do not call you soliciting for money.

I live in Lebanon and get local TV stations out of Springfield. A few years back there was a report on KY3 that said that Law Enforcement Agencies do not call you soliciting money.

Someone above reported that the caller was soliciting money for the Move Over Law. Guess what that Law like any other on the books is paid by tax payer dollars.

Another mentioned a Widows fund. Guess what the widow of an officer killed in the line of duty is usually going to get his or her pension.

I'm sorry but this is not Mo State Troopers.

They called my home. When I answered no one answered back. I called the number back, an answering machine stated no one was available to take my call and asked me to leave a message. I didn't say anything and was told there was no message recorded. These calls should be illegal and why, when they can trace everything else in the world, can't they trace THESE calls?

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

I got a call from this number the person recited really slow like he was new to reading from a script, he stated that he was with the Highway Patrol charity and he wanted to know if I wanted to donate money to the widow's funds for the widows of the Highway Patrol officers who were killed in the line of duty, which I know there is no such thing as the Highway Patrol charity and I hung up on him after he got done with reading his script.

If you call the # back you get a recording telling you to press 1 for a chance to win $50,000.  I didn't but waited for the next available representative, they hung up.  I feel that this is a scam.  If you're on the no call list report the phone #

Said they were from the Missouri State Troopers... asking for money to fund Missouri Move over law.

I told them that I would research it online in order to give and that I never give me information out over the phone.  Seemed to suffice.  Don't plan to give them anymore money than I have to!  :)

This number exists on a Maxville exchange - that means it's in Arnold, Fenton or Imperial, Missouri. I dialed it after hours beginning with *67 (hoping that might do some good). The phone was answered by a recording which stated that since I was calling from a cell phone (I was NOT) that I was smart enough to press the digit 1 to win some neat prizes including the chance of winning the $50,000 grand prize. When I did not press 1, their recording told me to hang on for the next available agents (sic, the plural was used in their recording). After about 15 seconds, a busy tone sounded disconnecting the call (these scumbags don't work at 11 PM, so if you don't press 1 they want their phone line cleared up for a bigger sucker).

Who is kidding who? This is nothing but a scam. Block their calls if you can. If not, don't answer them. The only prize you are going to win is an opportunity to join the many others who have been swindled in this type of promotional sleaze.
