Have called constantly for past couple of months. I have never had a student loan......their call usually preceded or followed in about twenty minutes from a law office which their website says "specializes in debt collection". Hmmm!

Call every few days at any hour.......I have never had a student loan or attended college. On Do Not Call but it does not stop these calls. Never pick up when I see their name on Caller ID or any caller I do not recognize.

You can't TEXT to a number that's not a mobile phone.
This is Mohela. They have never called except if I am overdue on a payment.
Mohela is NOT telemarketers, as mentioned above. This is essentially a collections group.
If they are calling and have the wrong number, then my suggestion is to look them up, call their corporate office, and explain to them that they are wasting their resources to pursue a bad loan by calling you, since you are not the "loanee."
For me, it's legit - I have student loans, and I am late.

Someone called me on my text (cell phone) which was I am deaf. I use text and not voice. Whoever that phone number called from 636-532-0600. I ignore them and not answer it. I checked to see the view. No name but the number that shown 636-532 0600 and also my videophone. I wish whoever stop calling me and waste my minutes and stop calling my videophone. I don't know what kind of the company that call me.

I don't have any student loans and these morons keep bugging me with their calls and voicemails. Is there anyway that I can file a complaint to stop them from pestering me.

I've never had a student loan! I think their telemarketers of some kind. I recently tried to apply at a community college for financial assistance and got no where!!!

It's very simple: if I don't recognize the number of the caller, or if do recognize the number and it's not someone I want to talk to at the time, I don't answer the phone. If they want to leave a message, they can. If they don't, it wasn't that important. These people never leave a message.

I get a call from this number 636-532-0600 almost every morning at 8:00 and I am tired of it. How do you get them to stop.
Sangelia 2013-09-18 16:01:58 Unknown
They deal with pretty much most of the student loan folks. If you had to get a student loan from like the govt, or some other group to go to a college or university. And then did not pay back
What happened is that most likely the money due from your loan ended up with this group.

Call from 636-532-0600 left a message saying they were Mohela. Never heard of them. Since it wasn't a robocall, it was an actual person, who carefully and clearly left a call back number and their hours, I called them. 866-770-4704 was the call back number. The person I spoke with simply asked for my account number. When I said I didn't have one, and didn't know who they were he was quick to pick up on the fact they were calling the wrong place. He gave me the name of the person they were looking for, didn't argue when I said I'd never heard of her, said they would remove our number from the account. He was very nice. Hope he did what he said he would.

I keep getting calls from 632 532 0600. When I answer there is no one no message. Whoever is calling he/she must have nothing better to do. Stop bothering innocent citizen and go out find a job or do volunteer work. If you are an drug addict, try to get help from a local charity organization. Live a life more purposefully. God loves!

Why do you call day and night? No reason I should get a call you whoever you are!!!! Stop bothering me!
willow 2013-07-24 17:16:51 Unknown
I keep getting calls from this person but I have never done anything to get a loan or even asked about it. They keep calling to tell office hours and to call back. I don't answer if I don't know the number.

Its from Mohela. I know they took over my direct loan. My loan payment is just a few days late and I know it is because we did not have the money to pay it this last paycheck but they have sent me emails and have called me. Its a bit annoying because with direct loans you could be a couple days late and they wouldnt bother me. I've only been a few days late like two other times and I have had this loan for three years. All other payments have been made and on time. Im not behind, so why keep bothering me, they will get the payment tomorrow. My cell phone company wont even bother you unless your payment is past due for more than two weeks. Its just annoying. Leave me alone, its only a couple days late.

These idiots keep calling leaving a voicemail where I don't even recognise the name mohela? And that they had. Important information for me. This is the 2 day they called. I looked it up and it says its for student loans? Funny thing is I've never had any student loans ever! I paid for ALL of my school out of Pocket? So how did these weirdos get my first name and phone number and why r they calling me?
Tora 2013-03-28 00:54:22 Unknown
Mohela took over all Federal Direct Student Loans about a year ago.

Even though I asked them to put me on their no call list, I keep getting calls from them, asking for MY CAT Sam!!! How did they get this information?
Teresa 2013-02-26 16:19:49 Debt Collector
Here's the deal. These people bought out direct loans, so if you get a call from them, it transferred over from direct loans

This number called me and right of the bat wanted my birthdate and ss#! I don't even have any student loans! The woman said there was a loan with my ss# attached to it. I asked her to verify what info she had and she refused saying "I can't violate private information like that." Oh, I see, but I'm supposed to give you that information. She said the would keep calling until I did. Next time I'm giving her my dead brothers ss#.

Generic "offers" message left from this telephone number, Left a message to call back 1-866-770-4704. I assumed it was a bill collector for someone who gave them a random telephone number.

From a student loan company called Mohela. If you had student loans from Direct Loans, this Mohela organization just bought out your loans from Direct Loans. You should've been sent an e-mail a while back about this. So you'll need to register with their website and make your loan payments through them from now on. I missed a call from them too, went on their website, and the first screen they brought me to was my profile, where they needed my updated address and contact info. That's probably what they wanted from everyone else too. Hope this helps!

Caller ID on my landlady's landline abbreviated the caller as "Mo Higher Ed Lo". I thought at first, Why would an agency of the Missouri state government be calling a New Jersey landline?
