They called me today, I answered and someone hung up so I looked here and just said WTH?  I dont owe anyone so I just used my IPhone and blocked the number, if they call from another number that will be blocked too.  I dont have time or patience to deal with idiots like this.

I have received calls from this number several times. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, and when I let it ring, they hang up after a couple rings. They never leave a message either. I recommend never answering if this number calls.

Just got a text message this morning asking, "Is this item still available?" followed by the heading on my craigslist post. I'm in WV, on the Kentucky line. They're nowhere near me.

Debt Collector
I had a missed call from this number. I called it back and it's Delta Outsource Group. They are a debt collection company. I went to their website and spoke with a lady named Latasha via chat. It is a valid debt that I owe.

Per the FDCPA, no one should pay any caller unless they mail a debt validation letter showing that they owe a debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  A bill or invoice is not proof you owe a debt.  The debt validation letter would show the original creditor, amount still owed, date of loan and date of last payment.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I wish he would call me, I would tell him to go sit in the corner and put his thumb  in his mouth or to hold his breath until I send him a penny or half a penny.  Some people have crummy jobs. I would pick potatoes or peaches all day like the hispanics or mow lawns before i took a job, scamming and lying and harassing people....it is my theory that if they have the money they will pay. no need to harass them.

YOUR WASTING YOUR TIME, CAUSE I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE YOU ANY MONEY.  YOU CAN CALL ME UNTIL I'M 91 AND YOU WILL NEVER GET ANY MONEY. MATTER OF FACT THAT'S ALL YOU CAN DO IS CALL, YOU CAN'T SUE ME, LOL, YOU CAN'T DO NOTHING BUT CALL. SO HAVE AT IT. I'M NOT AFRAID OF A PHONE CALL. AND AFTER YOU CALL ME SO MUCH, I'LL KEEP THE CALLS AND SUE YOUR A** YOUR TELEPHONE HARASSMENT. Gosh I don't see why people on these boards so afraid of phone calls. I had a very prominent lawyer tell me that a debt collector cannot hurt you, especially after sol, that's all the ammunition they have is to call you. I enjoy the calls cause every time it rights, that's 1000 going in my pocket...you people need to get smart and stop worrying about phone calls...get another number and only give it to relatives. Get your number unlisted. dON'T BE SO SCARY.

Called me all the time randomly. Got sick of it and finally answered but I just rambled on to them a story about my car not having enough freon. I kept talking over them so I didn't know what they were saying but they definitely got hostile and irritated with my irrelevant story and now they don't call me HAHA.

Just received a call from 636-591-3647, I didn't recogize it, hit the "end" button.  They left no message.  I do not and will not answer any calls that I do not recognize.  If they are serious, they best leave a message.  Plus, my phone is on the do not call list, which apparantly doesn't work very well.

Get calls from this number all the time and they never leave a message.  I researched the number and get a recording saying it is Delta Outsource Group, a debt collector.  I owe no one any money and it is getting annoying.  How can I make these calls stop.  I am on the do not call list.

The BBB has given this company a rating of "A-" they have only been in business for three yrs 26 complaints they say were resolved then why would they have a registered PO Box as their operations address? THINK

Debt Collector
Delta Outsource debt Collectors think they are clever using a different number with a different area codes and numbers 3 days in  a row. FYI---636-590-3647, DO it rang 3 times and the newby worker probably did not want to really talk to anyone so they hung up, but reported they attempted to call. 636-614-0193, 314-669-2532.
The best policy is wait for a voice mail, which most debt collectors realize they have just let you know wh is calling, so they usually do not.
Blow your whistle in your phone.
Never give any company your real phone number and tell them e-mail contact only. I applied for a Sears Gold Mastercard in 2008 next thing I know I am getting calls from 10 years back on unsettled debts that should have been charged off already.

Non stop numbers from these guys - I've called back 4 times and each time they say "we don't have your phone number on file - we're not the ones calling you" but I'm re-dialing the number that's calling me and hanging up! Also, I've reconfirmed I have NO debt with them or anyone else 4 times! Is there anything I can do about this!?!?

Follow up:

I actually contacted the Delta OutSource Group about this and they said their number is being spoofed by scammers trying to get credit card info, etc.  But if this is true, then why would the caller hang up every single time instead of asking me for information?  What good would it do just to call and then hang up?  I don't know but suspect that they just want to verify that there is a live person associated with the phone number, to be used for some other purpose.  Anyone have any theories about that?

Yes, I am another one getting a lot of calls from this do***e bags.  Never respond.  I can see the number being called from and if it begins with 636 (they have various numbers they use, in case people block certain numbers they can just switch to another), I don't answer.  I have not answered them for at least the last ten calls.  I will never answer a 636 number again that I don't know.
