it called me, and aparently lots of others. and when we tried to call it back, it said " number was disconected"

unknown purpose.

bugger called me at around 8am or so Monday and woke me up. I was half asleep when he called and so I managed a hello. I got a response then he promptly hung up.

same thing in springfield missouri-how is it they call us and when we call back it says no longer in service?

Got this call at 4:02pm on 1-25-2010.  As previously stated, a simple "hello" and then a dead line for 10 seconds.  Upon redialing, the line is out of service.

As someone had mentioned about AT&T subcontractors, I'm currently on T-Mobile.  So, that's not it.  I'm in northeast Ohio, by the way.

call on my cell phone, man left a message saying it was "Tim Johnson" and that he spoke with us last week about lowering our interest rates on my  credit cards to 1.5%. My wife or I never called or received a call from this person before. He continued to inform us that this was the last call he was going to make to us. He left a toll free number to call back 1-866-237-7637. Beware of things that sound to good to be true. Scam?

Same as all described, message left on voicemail around 530pm in VA, called my work mobile phone (a number that I don't really share outside of the internal office calls, so I wonder how he/they got the number.

my daughter answered this call on my phone..a male voice said hello then nothing...looks like its made its way to iowa.....

Just called maybe 5 mintues ago? Said hello, waited about 10 seconds, then hung up. I think they are from Missouri.

Received 2 calls today, just a looser with nothing to do.

Got this call.  Haven't listen to the voicemail yet.  I'm sure it's spam so I'll probably just delete it.

I just got the call.  Ignored it, but he left the message about cutting my interest rates.  Think it's a recording since the first part of the message was cut off before it started recording.

And re: the AT&T comment above, I'm not on AT&T.

1/25:Received a call from a man with the above phone #.
He said "Hi" and that was it.
I kept saying hello....and nothing.This happened about 45 min. Ago.
