"unknown name"  on the caller ID.  How do we stop all these hacked calls?! This is insane

Rcvd call- after a few seconds- they asked for a name,without saying anything else, I asked to be added to their no call list. He said "NO"
I asked if knew that he would be violating federal law- he said he didnt' care, I then asked if he would consent to our conversation being recorded, and he said "Yes" so I asked him to confirm his refusal to put our number on the no call list- he then hung up...
I suspect there is and unfurtunate person named Candice Green who is had her number spoofed and used this way with out her knowledge.

Next time will ask about the "Green Candie".

Have called a couple of times. Leaves no message. Call number back and get recording that the number is not in service..

Just got a call from the same Indian man stating that I had a virus in my computer. I told him that I just bought this computer last week from Best Buy and it was working find. He said no that it has been infected with a virus. I told him that the only virus that I have is a bad cold and perhaps he could help me get rid of that virus. He hung up on me................

two calls now that I've not answered and no message and when I call back it says the number is no longer in use .. so I checked the internet and found this ... thank you .. I will just block the number so it won't come again - whatever it is ... :)

got calls yesterday and today from this same number with Candie Green in the caller ID, but no one is on the line. I googled the number so thanks for the heads up about the scam.

636-978-8206 number, no message. Third time this number has called my landline.

I have received several phone calls from PC wizards telling me that my computer is reporting a problem and they want access to fix it.  Most of the time it is a man with a thick accent who speaks poor English. The first time I told them I didn't have a computer problem and they got mad.   Another time I asked for a phone number to call them back so that I knew they were a legitimate company.  The number they gave me was 1-888-463-7406.They have continued to call but I just hang up on them.

I just spent a hilarious 10 minutes on the phone with the Indian telemarketer.  He called from "PC Wizards" and warned me, ?Did you know that every time you get on the internet, you get hidden infections on your PC??  
Me: ?How did you know that?  Are you hiding infections on my PC??
?No, how could I do that?  On the phone line??
?I don?t know why you would use the phone line.  The internet would be easier.?
?No, every time you use a website, it puts hidden infections on your PC.  What websites are you using??
?Mostly gay porn, but I heard all porn sites are safe.?
?Oh, they are definitely not safe.  You need defense from hidden infection on your computer.?

Just received the same call.  He wanted my husband, of course asking for his given name, not nickname, which immediately alerted me as a problem.  Then went into his spiel about all Windows PC's needing his help.  I knew it was a scam immediately so decided to play along, without hubby of course...lol.  I asked, what do you need him for?  He doesn't own a computer (his company does...lol).  We don't use Windows (a truth)...well it also affects Mac's.  I told him that couldn't possibly be true, since they didn't employ his kind.  He told me to bug off and hung up.  I do love making them angry..lol.

Got a call today.  Came up unknown name.  He was foreign, couldn't understand what he was talking about.  Than  I caught something about my computer and I told him I didn't want to listen to him.  Hung up!  Have to go back not  answering my phone for these unknown names even to I am the one Rpaying for my phone service.

Husband got the call from an Indian accent fellow. Said all our computers in the are we're infected with this virus. We should tell our neighbors they too can purchase this special cleaner that Microsofts cleaner is no good. We have MACS!!!!!

Voice mail indicates the company is Green Candie.I have no  idea who they are or why they keep calling - especially since we're on a NO CALL LIST!!!

I had this same call the other day. He was persitant and I questioned him who my service provider was and what my I.P. address was. Ifianlly became frustrated and said to him "How the Fxxx do you know I have infected files if  you can't give me this information. I eventually hung up.

Asked for me by name said his name was Sam.  Sounded Vietnamese.  Said was calling about a problem with my PC. I told him I don't understand what this call was about.  He repeated previous statement.  I told him I was on the Fed No Call List.  He repeated initial statement but before finishing his sentence the call disconnected!!! I called the number and it was the stock-3 tones-this number has been disconnected. . .

When the phone rang, no one was on the line. I had to say hello several times. Finally a man with an Indian accent sounding like he was reading a scripted sheet telling me he would fix problems on my computer. I said not interested, thank-you and hung up. The caller ID read Ofallon, MO.

Lady called said she was from PC Systems and there were rapid sever viruses spreading thru Microsoft systems.  I asked which ones (as an IT Support Specialist myself)- she stated, Windows.  When asked which version.. she stammered a bit and couldn't give an answer.  I then asked her if it was my work PCs or my personal PC hooked to different servers. She hung up.

Same as others above,  Indian woman called says PC Secure company and say my PC has virus and needs to be clean.

I received a call from this number also - looked it up and there is someone by that name that lives in ofallon  mo

He called me yesterday, 9/22/12. Having gotten similar calls in he past, I did not hang up. Instead, I kept him on the phone as long as I could with different excuses (e.g., people at my front door, calls on my other phone, my computer is upstairs, my computer is old and slow to boot up,)

All the while I was watching the Yankees-Oakland As extra-inning game with the sound off and never left my sofa. I finally told him that my computer was on and ready and he asked me to simultaneously press the "Microsoft Key" and another key. I said I had done so and he asked what was on my screen. I replied "what is supposed to be on my screen?" and the fun began.

He kept asking what did I see and I kept asking "what should I see." This made him furious and, when I finally told him that I had been watching the Yankees game the whole time and wasn't near my computer, he went ballistic. He screamed that I "should take a baseball bat and hit the back of [my] head with it." After calling me a "psycho" several times and trading a few more insults, I was laughing so hard I finally had to hang up. He called back a few minutes later, and I let my answering machine take the call. His message was: "I guess you did not take my call because you hit your face with a baseball bat so there is a happy ending, You psycho. Good bye."

If everybody whom he calls jerked him around for as long as possible, he would have to earn his living a different way. So, Instead of just hanging up, USE UP AS MUCH OF HIS TIME AS POSSIBLE. He also appears to have broken several state and federal laws but getting a prosecutor to take an interest is unlikely.

I just got a call from this person with foreign accent.  Don't know what language, but he seemed to have only one come on for every question.  The same "technical" stuff that other messages on this site talk about.  I asked what company he was with  same answer.  Where are you calling from?  Same answer.  WHERE ARE YOU CALLING FROM?  Samo.   Repeat,  then My reply:  A D I O S!

Got the same call from India women. Problem is i have a problem ticket with Webroot on some malware issues. Thought it was there tech department. wanted me to enter someting in windows run box. Then I asked how he got my number and all she could say is we have ways to gather that info. I hung up.

Same indian fella saying that our computer had virus problems and he was going to help fix it. I started asking questions and he clammed up and then hung up when I asked him who he worked for. The only thing that disturbed me about it was that he knew my old home address. I reported him to the sheriff's department

had an Indian man call my house and talked to my wife and he would not tell her what his call was about.

Thanks everyone that posted..The same number called our house too, did not leave a message on the machine. I looked up the number and read your post. Caller ID listed the caller as Green Candie. The number 636-978-8206.

After a couple of calls from this number I entered it into Google and came up with this address: 1244 Lupine Ct, O Fallon, MO 63366-3206. It shows up as Candie Green on my caller ID, just like on every one else's.

Got the Indian guy. He started walking me through how to fix my "PC". He told me to click here, click MY COMPUTER...After laughing I told him I didn't own a PC, just a Mac. He got very upset and asked if I was just playing him...YES!
