I had several messages from this Diaz guy, saying I owed money to a company called Pay Day, which I've never borrowed anything from.  I called the number back  and let him blabber on for several minutes.

When he stopped talking I told him I was glad he clarified the details, and that I was working with the  Attorney General, the FCC, and the FBI, & I had several agents on the line with me who'd clearly heard and recorded everything.  

He started backtracking & claimed  he'd gotten the wrong number, and I simply hung up.

I haven't had a call since...you have to fight fire with fire sometimes.

Even if someone did owe money, no debt collector is allowed, by law, to make the claims this scam artist did.

And they don't arrest people for unpaid debt anyway.

After all, if a debtor's in jail how can he earn money towards repayment?

I had a msg from john diaz on my cell to call immediately, I called and they answered front desk, I asked for John, gave my name and waited, John got on the phone asked my name and said he needed to call me back, stupid me said ok, he called right back. Went through the whole "affidavit" and told me i was going to be arrested or taken in cuffs from my work. They were charging me with federal bank fraud, check fraud etc on an old payday loan. The conversation got hostile when I said i would not confirm or deny any info over the phone until I had papers in front of me and contacted an atty, he became rude and wouldnt let me talk and threatened me! The number was 641-237-5573. I blocked my # and called back and called various #'s similar to his to get a company name with no luck!

John Diaz called my husband's cell phone, and said it's a very serious matter, he called from the number 100-002-4111 and wants to be called back at the 641-237-5573 which is an iowa number.  He used to call from 323-372-1401 which is a california number and can't be called back and wanted to be called back at 240-645-0729 which is a Maryland number that says "please enter your complete pin number".  I perosnally think this is scam!

The caller gave the name of Officer Alex Dewines, and tells me that I owe money for an old Pay Day loan,and that if I do not money gram him $500 that he will have me arrested.  He has the number of my employer and called and told them I am a criminal.  He has called me twice and neither time would tell me the actual company name and address that he works for and will not give me copies of the contract he says I signed.  I have reported this to the Attorney General.

The caller gives a name of Alex Dwaynes, with the Department of Crime, and tells me that I owe money and have to pay it today or I will be arrested,.
