Looks like good old USAFIS.ORG. They went quiet for a while but looks like they are back at it again and even "expanded" by adding Australia and Canada to their supposed "services". They are not in New York and not in the USA, the number is rented to route the phone calls which originate elsewhere.  Beware and spread the word, because while governments may run official immigration programs, the only way to apply is via the government websites (if it ends with .org, .net etc. - forget it) or directly through their embassies, application process is simple and absolutely free of charge, these programs are not working with any intermediaries (legal firms etc.) and the only way they will ever contact you is via post, no emails and definitely no phone calls from embassies - this is not how they work.
There was a warning regarding this company on the USA Department of State website a few years back. Total scam.

i got curius with the fb page saying about canada migration. so i fill up that form. this happen december 2013. after 10 min they call back (lady) and we had an assesment . but after a while she asked abot my cridet card of debit card. then thats the time that i said i dont have the card with me coz she was asking the 4 digit last number of my debit card and cridet card. then after 4 months this time i received their call again but i dont pick up anymore. so im here just to share that its a SCAM....

i received a call from the same number, silence for a second and then female voice saying "you gonna die" :D really no joke

I also just got a call from this number, then when I called it back ,it said you have to press 1 to talk with our immigration service officer

these are hackers. they do that for a purpose. So when u call them bake they gets info. about u. and steal u mobile credit also somehow .

I also got the call even though i have never ever filled in any immigration application. I just blocked the number. Who's interested in Canadian immigration anyways like????!!!! Btw I'm from Milano

Crazy idiot called me at 3am Malaysian time and fxucking woke me up!!! Must be the Australian immigration thingy that I stupidly filled up online, and gave my number!!!

Scammers, they were calling to my mom in Latvia, I called back and the guy told me they are calling about an open case regarding green card to USA. I know my mom didn't win the green card that was posted on the official website when you check for it. I asked if they worked for government and they said that they are a private company. Told them that my mom doesn't want to do anything with them and asked to stop calling.These kind of companies keep nagging you until you change your phone number. Call back and tell them to F*** OFF

Located in Trinidad and Tobago .I received a call from 646-205_0801 at 13:57 on 26/05/2014 .it was an answering system saying I was now connect to the Austrailian immigration deapartment.I hung up because I knew it was a new york #. I have received calls like these before and they usually sends up your bill.

I am from Latvia. This week I have got three calls from this number. Of course I didn't pick up. I'm sure it's a scam. I guess a year or two ago I have tried to apply for the green card. Seems the persobnal info you enter in immigration websites ( usa, canada, australia) are not protected. Good luck!

I am from Latvia. It was too rung me from this number. I rang up. There answered that immigration service. Then they rang up and suggested to win a green map requiring payment. Suggested for ????????????? to press on a number one. I put a tube.

I had had a couple of missed calls from this number but I have never answered because they usually ring in the middle of night. I live in Ireland.
Thought to google the number before I attempted to ring it back and now I'm glad I did !

I received several calls from  the number 1-646-208-0801, when I tried to answer they hung up the call, I called back and they said that I applied for a Visa for Canada and that they need to ask me a few questions. I played along however I read about this number on your comments. The rep on the phone stated that he was for a gov immigration company. I asked his last name and the ID number. He said that I need to pay $1,000 to complete the application. Once I told him that I need to discuss it with my family about it. he was too pushy on getting my cc #. I told him I wanted to think about it and he continues to insist that if I didn't do the payment the same day I will loose the opportunity. He gave me the # of ID for the Attorneys that work with them and he said it was from company ICCRC. I Called that company and they explained a different way of working with people. And that they have registered every employee in their website. Guess what, if I was able to see their ID # in the website, so can they.

How is it possible that the US, Canada and Australia Government does not realize that this "people" is playing with people's hopes.
The procedure to get a Visa is long and exhausting, if it appears to be easy and fast is just a SCAM!!

I got calllllllllss from this number several times. It says something about Canadian immigration and then this IVR asks me to press 1 for more information. Guess what? as soon as you press 1 the phone is disconnected.
