I got a cal from GCS law office and these people completely saved me out of critical situation

I don't know this person and they call me at work. How do I stop this.

I as well as my sister received a call from this number stating that I had a loan through a place call Cash America and that I did this on line in 2008.This  person has  a heavy middle eastern accent and demanded that I provide him with my information or he was going to harass my sister regarding this matter, i had my payments made and paid through my bank, He is insisting that I pay him 681.00 today or tommorrow it will be over five thousand dollars. I have paid my debts and i explained if i owed this I was never contacted about this. I am, going to report this to the Attorney Generals office

I received these exact same phone calls from 646-213-2852. First they call leaving messages that you can barely understand because they barely speak english AND they sound like they are in a wind tunnel! If you ask what specific company the loan is thru they can't tell you just the parent company. They say they have a New York case number for federal banking violations and theft by deception. Well, I told them that all of my payments are set up by EFT and have been paid. They wanted me to fax a written authorization note to withdraw using my debit card to 718-732-2225 and a copy of my driver's license. A reverse number lookup says it is an unpublished number but from New York, NY. They also told me I had to pay it now or bring my lawyer to New York to handle it!  The guy named Jim gave me a badge number of 48988 and the attorneys name was Craig but funny enough I can't find an attorney online by that name he gave me!!

They continued to insist that this had to be handled today, etc.

I almost let them do it!

I hope these numbers help, I know you made your post awhile ago but they are still active, I received one today.
I am going to contact the local FBI field office here as well and tell them what I have found out.

I am so relieved to hear from other people on this, I have been receiving these calls for months and what is worse they call my work and it is very embarassing even though I know I did not do anything wrong and I knew it had to be a scam.
I have several other numbers that they are calling from and all the different names I have been given, even though I know they are a fraud- the numbers are - 347-983-7784, 646-597-9030, 347-426-2313, 347-321-9064 and 662-180-7848, 205-417-2415.  
the names do not matter and I will not post them to protect innocents that have the same name as they are always very common names.
I have repeatedly asked for a copy of the digital contract and other information such as dates and on one call I was told that it happened several years ago when I didn't even have the bank account they are referring to.  This is very scary and they do have alot of personal information and that is it is upsetting. I was also told that they would not give me any information unless I have an attorney call and I have told them that I will represent myself and they say that I cannot. I have also called back after hours and the number was a magic jack number and it said the voicemail was full...I wonder how many times this scam has worked, it obviouly does on some people or they wouldn't keep doing it, it is very sad.  I am thankful I have found others to validate my feelings that this was a scam, I knew it was because I have never taken out a loan with that company..

I have been getting calls since last week with these people, it switches from a woman to a man and I never answer the phone and they leave a detailed message about how much trouble I'm in and they will tell my boss and creditors what a horrible person I am.

They just called me about two minutes ago, they even called my daughter where I guess they found her number under my contacts someone and told her I was in trouble.

Just got a message on my voiceMail saying if my husband did not pay off a loan they feel sorry for him. LOL!  please!  What collections company ever feels sorry for anyone!?!?  Anyway these people have been harassing us for quite sometime now.  Can wait for it to Stop!

They claim to be with the Kings County Supreme Court in Financial law department located at 360 Adams St. Brooklyn, NY 11201.  I looked them up and Yes the address is for the Kings County Supreme Court in New York, however from the email I received back from the true Kings County Supreme Court in New York stated:

They would keep calling Me and once I had received the email from Kings County Supreme Court in New York and I told them I knew for a fact they are a scam, they hung up, then about 10 minutes later I had a voice mail and it was a recording of the Fake Kings County Supreme Court in Financial law department calling the San Antonio Police department wanting to file a harassment charge against Me, the message had Me laughing because the dispatcher keep asking for the address for the police to come to there location to file the police repost, they person keep giving them my address here in Iowa and would not give them there correct address at all, then the caller got upset and was yelling at the dispatcher telling them to have the police come and arrest me, was funny to listen to.
The bottom line is these people are scammers and yes they seem to have a nice set up to route and hide there real address, if a person asks for there mailing address to send them mail they do give a real address for the real court house and you would be none the wiser, however they only want your banking information to steal your money.  So don?t give them your information.
Please know it is NOT a criminal  matter if a person has a debit, it is a civil matter, so when they say the FBI or local police department will be showing up at your door be it home or work, just laugh and say thank you.  As anyone of you who have heard the people speaking they are not of American decent but rather from India and they do not real know the Federal, State and local laws what so ever, so anytime they call log it and file a complaint.

  Thank you guys so much for your posting. They made me feel a lot better about this situation. I am glad to hear that the FBI and FTC are looking into this matter. I am just so tired of getting phone calls. I tell that i know it is a scam and that i am not biting. Please keep us post on the investigation.

These are a pieces of crap ! lol.  They think just because i am a women that they can bully me around! Well i got news for, I DON"T think so. I wish they would stop calling me and my wife and leaves us alone. I did call the police department, to inform them of what is going on.

Thank you for that. I applied for a loan, but never recieved one. I am definitely relieved thank you so much for that. It just scare me because they called my job as well.

Folks, I want to let you know that both the FBI and FTC are actively investigating this. I work for a federal court judge. These jerk offs made a HUGE mistake calling me. The FBI field office for my region of my state happens to be two doors down from ours. Each call I received was recorded, and the FBI is tracing the origin of the calls. Being that I work in a federal agency, the spoof number system DOES NOT WORK. What is distressing is that some of these calls originate within the US. However, that makes it that much easier to track them..... they will be caught!!!

They screwed with the wrong girl here. The last call I got, three weeks ago, I put them on hold and got the FBI agent , who took the call. We tracked the number to Texas.

More proof that they are a SCAM: No one from a government agency, be it state, local, federal etc., is going to call you to collect a debt. That would be a collection agency that would do that. So, when they call you saying they're from the Attorney General's office or whatnot, tell them to eff themselves. Do you really think the AG's office would bother with a freaking loan for $300? LOL!

Kimberly~ first know that no matter what they say and threaten you with, YOU CANNOT GO TO JAIL FOR ANY DEBT WHATSOEVER. The FTC is where you go to find out what rights you have as a debtor (even though you aren't one). Go to www.ftc.gov and look up the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This will tell you that what they are doing is illegal and therefore, they are a SCAM. As for them having your personal information, did you ever even APPLY online for a loan? Apparently these scum of the Earth are hacking into loan (especially payday loan) websites and getting people's info from them. They obviously aren't even paying attention to who actually took a loan as I can see here since some people are saying they only applied for a loan. So, blindly, they are calling people and telling them that they now owe the money. Basically they are just trying to scare people into paying money they may or may not owe. The big problem is that most of them are not in the U.S. and are spoofing numbers so there is no way to trace where they are calling from. Just know they can't do anything to you, they are just trying to annoy and scare you enough to pay them off to go away basically. Don't be worried!

Geez, do they ever stop? Nothing aggravates me more than someone assuming I am an idiot. OK, first your name was Andy and now, today, it is Dwight. Let's set the matter straight. Before you start making these phone calls....learn to speak English that we can understand. second, Know something, anything, about American Law. Third, when you look in the mirror, do you see yourself? I see a gnat...one of those tiny little bugs that can't hurt you but you'd like to swat the snot out of them. No, you are NOT getting my debit card, credit card or any other card number. Why? I am not an idiot and I know the American Justice System. Have a nice day!

Well, this one is something else! They called, and failed on the first voice mail, so they called back, this time blocking their number. Clearly, this company is shady as hell, and using outsourced people. When they left their voice mail, he had the balls to say that he thought that I was running away from my debt, and would proceed to send my information to the courts, and within 24 working hours(today is Friday, dumbass), would send their investigative team to my employment, AND my doorstep. He then proceeds to disclose the FULL SOCIAL over the voice mail! Thankfully, I know these are all direct FDCPA violations, so I quickly notified them, and anxiously awaiting their next call, so that I can rip into them. I haven't read anyone in a while, and I think I just found the perfect candidate!

Do what I do when I get these calls.  I tell Mike Smith or whoever they claim to be today that I have reported their number to the Federal Trade Commission.  I then start a barrage of curse words and insults at full volume until they hang up.  

They can't have you arrested for a private debt even if you did have a loan with them.  You would at worst be served a summons for small claims court which could then be settled out of court.  Don't let them scare you but do have some fun with these scumbags and vent some pent up anger.

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ONLINE TRYING TO APPLY FOR A PERSONAL LOAN. AFTER FILLING OUT THE ONLINE APP WE DECIDED NOT TO GO WITH THE ANY LOANS. WELL AFTER ABOUT FIFTY OR SO CALLS FROM SEVERAL SCAM LOAN COMPANIES HE BEGAN TO GET HARASSING CALLS FROM THIS 646-213-2852..THIS GUY'S NAME CHANGES THREE TO FOUR TIMES A CALL..HE IS EITHER GARY,JUAN,OR MIKE. SAYS THAT HE IS A LAW ATTORNEY AND WE OWE MONEY TO THEM. HOWEVER WHEN I ASK FOR THE NAME OF THE COMPANY OR ANY INFORMATION ABOUT SUCH LOAN HE TELLS ME HE CANT DISCLOSE THAT INFO AND AFTER SEVERAL TIMES BACK AND FORTH OF ARGUING HE HANGS UP ON US. I HAVE NOW MADE THIS A GAME CALLING THEM TO TRY TO GET INFORMATION ON THIS COMPANY. MY Last call however has caused me to me irrate. THEY TOLD ME THAT UNLESS WE PAY THEM SOME MONEY THEY WILL CONTINUE TO HARASS MY HUSBAND AT WORK AND TO CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH HIS BOSS LIENING AND TELLING THEM HE OWES MONEY AND THEY ARE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OR REVENUE....CANT SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS ...PLEASE ANY ADVICE
