To Whom It May Concern:

I just received a phone call from 646-213-4005 at 12:22 pm, which a quick Google search shows is a NY number.

The person on the other end of the call knew my first name, and proceeded to tell me about the nineteen magazine subscriptions I was going to receive. She apologized for the delay in my order, but she promised that I would get a discount for the delay.

When I proceeded to inquire how I had come to be receiving nineteen magazine subscriptions she told me that I was simply lucky, as she understood it. I responded that being asked to pay for nineteen unsolicited magazine subscriptions for which I had not recollection of ordering did not appear, to me, to be matter of good fortune. I then requested my account information. She stated that she would be happy to provide it and then hung up.

She claimed to be with Reader's Services and gave me the following personal account number at the beginning of the call: 2321DNC. When I called the number back at 12:24pm, I was given the system voice-mail for Universal Reader's Incorporated. I Google searched that name, and there were no hits on the first page. The initial options for the call were either to enter my party's extension or to stay on the line for an operator. Staying on the line gave me the opportunity to hear a ring tone followed by the request to leave a voice mail. I did not leave a message.

I am writing this so that an investigation may be started. I have provided all the information that I have in my possession to the best of my knowledge.
