I have the same story!

I just received a phone call from a Wayne Meyers from Mark Rothman Lawfirm. #315-675-7760. Scared the sh-- out of me! He said I was being sued and I owed $5847. on a debt I defaulted on in 2011. He had a very heavy middle eastern accent, so I could not understand MOST of what he said but he was very threatening.

I called the company that I was supposed to owe and they did not have any record of me ever doing business with them.
I also called the lawfirm, they were very rude!

UGH! I was scared for a few minutes...Called my attorney. Then did some research, and now I'm gonna harass him...

I just received the same call I'm on my way to the police if I even see 1 red cen out of my account they will be the ones in jail

I got the same call from 315-370-4352  a dude with a West Indian Accent indicated that he was from the law offices of  Mark & Rothman Criminal Injustice due to a payday loan with Payday America,  whats funny is he had my SSN and Bank Account number and he said he sent me 21 emails to my email address and now he was going to have me and my employer summoned and pay $5,400.00 I have no recollection of this dude and if he could reasonably present me what I owe (if anything),  I would get back to him,  he said the address of his company was Mark & Rothman Associates 101 Park Avenue,  New York NY,  but could not provide the zip code,  the phone number is a cell phone from the Syracuse New York area,  I am going to play around with this and see if there is any more information I could find out.

F****ng creep saying he will lick my you know what and he likes my  boobs and acting as if he is an attorney from Mark Ronsons office out of New York, he wished he worked for Mark Ronson.  Harasses non stop and will say I am being sued....his number is 646-583-0840.

Same threatening messages -- makes no sense whatsoever!!!

Awful company. They use scare tactics to scare people into paying money to them.   They think they can get over on us. Don't give in, y'all!!!! They are a SCAM!!!!!!!!. Thick, thick East Indian Accent. I had to tell the man...so called "Eddie Brown"  to say each word slowly...syllable by syllable, and still couldn't understand him. His so-called name "Eddie Brown... is the biggest lie on this side of Heaven....What Middle Easterner is named "Eddie Brown????? Yes, I hope they are reading these messages, because I reported them to the Police Department in my hometown. To Terrie, they also threatened to call my job... I am so glad I am not going through this alone. Don't Do a Green Dot Card, y'all. They will take your money and run!!!! So glad I didn't have the money to send them at the time they called. They are SCAMMERS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! Don't send them a penny!!!! I can rest well at night, because I didn't send them anything, and I will NOT send them anything!!!!

These dudes call me at work every few months. When they figure out they are calling the police department they usually hang out.

These people have called me for weeks now and my employer they are a scam as you can see they have threatened me with police warrants all kinds of crazy accusations even told me they were my cell phone company. Just be careful it is hands down a scam.

I keep getting the same calls he keeps screaming at me he is very rude he says i only owe 5,600 then it went to 350 i threatened to call the ftc he offered to stated that it was for advanced America i spoke with a jay smith then with the sec. nick then to kevin would NOT provide  me with a balance im calling the FBI tomorrow

My cousin revd a call from these whack jobs yesterday.  We called them back on a conference call today and they got upset with me because I was asking questions about the incurrence of debt, the amount of debt.  He would NOT answer ANY of my questions.  I told him it was in direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and he said he knew the law better than I did and I wasn't scaring him.  I asked for the name of the Law Firm - Mark Rothman & Associates and gave a Federal Tax ID Number 212570-NY-1991.  I don't know about you folks, but I've NEVER seen a tax ID number like this before.  He's going to send the subpoena to my Cousin's job and her home (both old addresses) and I told him to go ahead.  He said that we'll have this battle out in the courtroom and I really hope for that day in Court!  These guys are a piece of work.  I need to research the FBI website to determine how to file a complaint against these guys.  
*Oh, do you just love how they sound Middle Eastern, but they have American names??

i recieved a phone call from "Charles Green at this number 646-480-0225" said i owed them money from a pay day loan i took out with my bank of america account. FIRST off i've NEVER had a bank account with bank of america SECOND i dont work so how could i get a pay day loan SCARED THE S*** OUT OF ME THOUGH glad to no this is just a scam

I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS CALLS FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL. THE FUNNY PART IS THAT MY FRIEND PRETENDING TO BE ME STARED MESSING WITH HIM OVER THE PHONE TALKING DIRTY AND HE FELL FOR IT..HE STARED ASKING WHAT COLOR PANTIES DHE HAD ON,ETC... HE IS JUST A SICK B*****D THAT IS TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE AND HE ALSO HAS A BROTHER THAT DOES THE SCAM. DONT LET THEM SCARE YOU! THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF WHIMPS! C*** SUCKER!!

New phone number they are using is 347-670-4058.  Jay is really a great guy LOL.

I just got the same exact call and I have been in the legal field for over 27 years.   They cannot just call you over the phone and threaten you.   In America you have to be served legal papers personally to be sued and all information from the Plaintiff has to provifr written proof of the loan etc.    He could not provide this to me at all.   This is the biggest scam and I have always called the Pay day loan companies they say that I took a loan from and they have always confirmed that I have never taken a loan with them and that they constantly get these calls and complaints about the threats.   They advised me to contact the police, but the FBI has been working on this case for over 4 years.   Do NOT give them any other information and if they say that they are going to come and arrest you etc..   Tell them to do so.
 
Also, inform your employer that this is going on and direct them to the FBI website that describes the on going investigation.   I have been told that the way they get our personal information SS# or bank account etc.  is if you do not go direct to the site for a loan and just go to any or every site that pops up for a loan, these pop up loan places are not secure.   If you need to take out a pay day loan go direct to the lender site.    Hang in there and do not give them any money.   Start to threaten them and tell them that your calls are being recorded by the FBI.   Thanks.

I got the exact same phone call today!  Said tomorrow I would be served papers and I would go to jail,  they would go to my job, my home and contact my references and call my employer. I'm like you, if I owe it, I will gladly pay it, I just need to know who and when and where this was done other than 2010.  I asked for the information in writing also and he told me I should already have it. He also told me it was too late to make arrangements to get it paid.   I have tried calling them back but all I get is "all circuits are busy".  This is very stressful.

I googled the name and address of this mark Rothman at 675 3rd ave  New York...He is listed as a marketing consultant. Think I will call him at the number shown 212-681-1106 and see if he has any clue about this scam...since they are using his name and address!

Edward Myers? I think is what this heavy accent was hard to understand...called and left message "good luck"  Then he called my work number, I called the number back and a Kevin Miller answered the phone "law office" said that Edward was on another call but he could help me he was the supervisor...another heavy accent...this is the information I got he wasn't the attorney but was calling from Mark Rothman associates law office about a claim being filed against me for a payday loan from 2010 from Advance America Cash Advance for $300.00 wants $900.00 now or $5484.87 when I go to court. I asked for the address which he said was 675  3rd Ave, New York 10007.  I said I wanted the information in writing since this was the first I had heard anything about such... He said i would get it when I was served with my court papers at my place of employment and he hoped I had someone to get me out.  I informed him I have every bank statement since my account had been opened and I had no clue who Advance America Cash Advance was but would go through all my statements and contact him him on Monday and he informed me it was to late for that. He had the last 4 of my social, bank name, etc. and a singed agreement from me.  When I asked for the exact date he couldnt tell me anything just 2010.  I said that if he had signed agreement from me it should be dated. Again I got good luck...I am so tired of these people, If I owe something I would be more than happy to take care of it...All i ask is proof and have yet to get anything...Someone please help!

I am on the line with them as I type and they are idiots.  I harrassed them as much as they harrassed me and it was a bit gratifying.  Anyone know how to track these guys down????

Called and left a message for me that scared my mother - did not identify company, but said his name was Eric Stewart with a heavy Indian accent.  Also wished me good luck if I or my attorney did not return his call.  I called the number from my cell and the same guy, said I was calling Law Offices - sounded like he said Law Office of Mark Loeffler or Knopfler ???  I'm reporting this to the FTC.  I've searched other sites and (although differnt phone numbers) the same MO keeps poping up - heavy Indian accent with American names implying that you need an attorney.  This is a scam - do not give them any money. Reporting them to the FTC.  They may chagne phone numbers, but eventually, they will get caught!

I think they may have disconnected this number, every time I call now I get a busy signal.

So, for those of you seeking a solution.  Call them constantly, call them as much as you can stand, you don't even have to say anything, just call and call and call again.  

Tie up their lines and they can do NOTHING!

So Jay made the mistake of calling someone who works for me.

I sat there and called and called and called again until they unplugged the phone on their end.

Damn hard to pull a scam when no one can get though.

But the second time I got the call it was from *Edward miles*

*Jacob smith* called today last.time was a couple months.ago. got the same msg today as last time, saying that the matter at hand is very time sensitive and if he does not hear from me or my lawyer all he can do is wish me luck for the issue at hand will unfold on me, good bye and good luck. This is the second time I have received this call. Cant they be stopped?!

These people have called or should I say "jay or jake smith" has called many times. If he is jake smith I am queen latifah!! The accent is so thick mid-eastern that I can barely understand him. Most likely Indian or Pakistani. He mostly tells me "good luck!" if my attorney or myself doesn't contact or pay them ASAP! This form of teleterrorism should have some form of recourse. The last time this happened about two years ago, I kept calling them until they stopped calling me. Other than being incredibly rediculous and time consuming that seemed to work, but only after they had called me 3-5 times per day at home, on my cell and at my work.

keeps calling harrassing all the time....this person has the time to call and bother people all the time?
they should be blocked completely .....he says that his name is EDWARD MILES where he is to far away
to sound like an Edward Miles to me......he sounds more like someone from overseas and Indian or Indu person.....
