They are definitely a collection agency.
They also use a phone number spoofer which means they control what
you see on your caller ID.
I finally picked up and told them that I've only had my number for a few wks,
and don't know the person they are trying to reach.

These  people  called  me  on  my  job  &  at  my  home.   They   threatened  me   and  they  said  that  I  will  get  arrested  if  I  didn't  pay  them.

I get calls all tre time on my cell, at home and at work.  Some times they leave a message, other times they leave threatening calls also.  I have told them that my lawyer will be contacting their lawyer also.

I got a call from this number and they started telling me detectives were on their way to my work to arrest for questioning. They left a voicemail once and directly threatened me in it. Then said I need an attourney. I told them my lawyer was filing charges against them and that I've reported them in NY, and now they won't say anything or leave a voicemail.

Have been getting call after call no message is left. I want this to stop.

I get calls from this number every few days.  They never leave a message & no one talks when I answer. Does anyone know who it could be and how I can stop it?!

It's a scam.  Don't even sweat the calls, if you do answer, tell them you are recording the conversation (they'll hang up)  I got service with T-Mobile recently & changed my # when I moved so I would have a local area code.  At first I tried to explain to the broken english "John Smith" that "Tammy" no longer had this #. So then he tries to get my information and say's that since I have the number now I am responsible.  I laughed at him and he got his "Boss the Attorney"  Calls stopped for a few days and just started back up.  I usually don't answer, but will occasionally just to harass them back.  Sadly, reporting them does no good since they just use software to get a USA # and are calling from some 3rd world country.  Scum.  I tell them to get a freaking job or that I am sending a bomb their way.  Another frequent number they call from is:  773.741.7498

I answered a call from that number and after yelling HELLO into the phone a couple of times, a woman began speaking with an indian accent asking for my wife by name also place she was calling from was extremely noisy. She claimed she was with some place called cash call balance.com (never heard of it). I just told her the person she was looking for was not at this number she apologized and hung up. I'm sure this will not be the last I hear from these people. Will definitely be reporting the number to the proper agency.

I just tell them that i want them to take my card number.  i usually then make up a ficticious card number.  when it doesn't come back then they get mad and threaten to have an officer come get me. i then usually mock their accent and tell them to learn english.  it's entertaining.  most of the time i just decline the call.  i've never used any type of loan on the internet, i don't know how they got my number.  anyone know how to block them using an ipone 4 with at&t?

no its not from at&t...
its from cashtime loans  (I know its cash...something...his accent was too thick and hers was too quite)...its some sort of payday loan company...
they use auto dialers and you can go to www.fbi.com and there is a current scam with some of these places...
if u have ever filled out an app online to borrow money than they got u...
but most importantly dont do conduct ANY business with ANY company that you CANNOT GET AHOLD OF!!!
call ur local phone company and ask them if they offer a call bloack for auto dialers...
if u have qwest  or century link they offer it but u have to call them to actibate it and its already included in ur bill most likely...  its *60 and than the number (dont put a 1 in ) and u can do it for up to 15 numbers...

Been getting calls  with no message left

This is a scam call..I already spoke with a payday loan agency and They are now tracking down this people and this number..whoever calls you from this number making any threats you can feel free to send straight to hell and let them know you know who they are and know their crap...Dont back down..!!!

I get them NY and CA, basically the same type of calls, they leave messages in barely understandable english.  I told them Have an officer come get me, I know them all In my town.  Use Sanity if on a Droid, It won't let them through, you can set it to pick up and hang up so they can't even leave a message.

This number calls me at least 7 times a day...When they do talk its very broken english...Claiming to be an officer when I ask what kind of officer they will not tell me and threaten to put me in jail so I told them to come get me and take me to jail and then the calls stop for a week or so then they start again...

This is just another number used by these people or person. I've received at least seven different numbers. Beware!!

Keep getting calls from this number but i keep ignoring it!  i have been getting these types of calls from scams like these people from a bunch of different numbers.  Every time i do talk to them i tell them where to go but they still keep calling back.  i thought they would give up calling once they realized they couldn't get any money out of me but it might be different call centers calling each time.

Yes, I received the same man changing his name constantly and when I answered, because he calls at different numbers but same voice, broken-english-Indian-accented man, he claims I wrote fraudulent checks for $500.00.  I told him the FBI was listening and he hung up.

These people keep calling my job and harrassing my boss. He changes his name everyday he calls. I don't know his company and i know he's Indidan and does not speak great English. He called one day to try to offer me a Payday loan and when I refused to send him money for money, the harrassment started. He has called my boss an idiot and threaten to sue the company I work for because I block his calls. No one can understand him. I'm sure that he doesn't have anything legal about these calls to say. He ask if my ss# ends in a certain number as if I would give that to him. He's an Idiot and I'm tired of it.

Call me all the time everytime they call they have changed their nameto officer something. I'm like you can barely speak English but you have a American name. How is that possible??? They are nothing but a bunch of scanners who threaten people that have payday loans out. Scamming you saying you will go to jail tomorrow and a bunch of b***s*** like that!! I send them straight to voicemail everytime they call me now!!

I have a cheap contract because I use my phone very little.  If these people want to rip be off, at least have the courtesy to learn English!  This person states they are calling from some Law Office and asks me to confirm the last for of my ss#.  When I ask them any questions, they do not understand what I am saying because THEY DONT SPEAK ENGLISH!  DO NOT GIVE THESE FOOLS ANY INFORMATION. If they are calling you, they should know who they are calling and have your information.  They should at least be able to communicate in your language!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no message, no call back. If they do not have the sense to leave a number then no call back.  They think calling numerous times will get me to call them back.. "Officer Sally" (male voice), very broken english and very busy/noisy call center, tells me I owe a "payday" type loan and threaten jail due to check fraud. He will not give any info as to payee but will take my debit/credit card info over the phone. I do not have a checking account and could not have had my identity stolen as I can not get a stick of gum loaned to me.
