From my research this a bogus company posting tons of bogus positions with exact same info in multiple localities and every day. Job postings look very fishy and not in usual format with some non professional gmail account. Come on give me a break! Also they operate under many different names. They are phishing for info for telemarketers and scammers!

This is nothing but SCAM so don't even waste your time! I spot their fake listings in a heartbeat now. They will never ever get me again! They call me every day and I will NOT answer.

i'm so glad i googled this number before i called it back, cuz i've been applying everywhere, online, over the phone, and in person, but i normally don't answer the phone if i don't know the number and i look it up if the voice mail seems a little fishy... i got a call from this number yesterday and then one from a different DC number (this one was 202-403-0827) same company, wasting my cell phone minutes! and getting my hopes up about finding a job! in this economy that's pretty low...

I received a call from this number as well.  Called back on the off chance that it was not a scam... Couldn't find the number in BBB, but they didn't ask anything that could lead to identity theft so I figured it was safe.  No SSN no Birthdate... so I dunno... I'll come back and post if it turns good/bad

(I've posted this on a couple other sites this morning...hope it gives some insight, or atleast something to ponder)

Well I too just got a call from this same number at 11:17 this morning about an hour ago...and so I called back just to check it out...and just as John H described...all they were basically asking is if I'm still interested in a job that I actually applied for within the last couple of weeks. They did ask me to re-verify general basic information that they already had...the lady on the phone she asked if my address was still (and then SHE gave me the adress info they had) which was correct, asked if my e-mail was still (again SHE already had the info) just needed to re-verify it. although she did inform me that the call could take as little as 5mins but possibly up to 45mins just depending on what the specific client needed them to verify etc. took about 8mins. and they did not ask my SSN or any info they did not already have...

And yes I did put in for the job within the time they stated...although she could not tell me who there client was...I asked a couple more general pin-point type of questions as to location of the employer/client she was calling for and even a more specific distance form my adress...which a place i applied for is at that distance and general locations and it's also a government facility...governmemt job...so I don't think that these folks would really want to try and scam/play around with something like that.

But again...I can understand how alot of people may have there reservations about this...So all i can say is...do what you feel is right for you...if you have those kinds of doubts then do not answer or call them back...everyone has the right to protect themselves in all ways. if you feel that it's a scam...NO one is twisting anyone else arm...but if you do recieve these kinds of calls just do what you feel is right for you. If you don't trust it...then don't call back or answer...if you want to check it out and if they start asking for too personal of information...then just hang up if you don't feel comfortable or don't trust it. For all I know it might be a scam of sorts or something of that nature...but they did not ask for any information from me that they did not already have...and they even revealed a few things area/general location of employer/client when i asked although they can't reveal company name. But if they had asked for my SSN (as in we don't have your SSN but we need it)...I probably would have hung up too...lol.

Anyway...I too got this call and so far things seem legit. But I'll gladly update this if that changes.

BTW...I would love to know if anyone who as gotten a call like this from them and spoken with someone...I would love to hear from someone who was (ATLEAST) actually contacted by the employer/client they claim to be calling for...even if you didn't get the job...just to hear from someone who was contacted by that employer/client would be nice to know. If anyone has...post on here and tell us about it please.

anyway...sorry for long post. hope it gives some insight or atleast gives everyone something to ponder over.

good day all...

I got the same phone call this morning.  I am grateful for the internet & the power we have to do a little research before getting scammed by these stupid companies........ Being out of work, it is horrible that these companies scam those already in dire straights!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so I got the same call, and actually held on the line. Turns out it was for a job I put in for, even though it was 3 months ago...but they just needed to verify some information that I had already put in. They had all the information already just wanted to make sure it was still up to date.  I think it's safe.

AFTER I applied for what I thought was a legit job posting on Craigslist.. attached my email, etc., I immediately received an email reply saying that the offer was THROUGH some agency. This happened TWICE on two separate job postings. The first one I ignored, but when I got the second one, I did peek..
Needless to say I did not fill out any info on their site. Today, I see a missed call from this number as well. Good to know that this crap is going on.

I received a call today from this number but I didn't answer because it was a private caller and I didn't recognize the number.  The call went to my answering machine but he would only say they were calling for job verification information.  I too don't answer any personal questions over the phone nor do I give my SSN on any of my job applications.  Thanks for the warning.

Okay, I'm so glad that I looked this phone # up.  I got a message on my cell phone from Jessica @ Career Networks.  She asked me to call 646-360-1691 about an online app that I submitted for one of their clients.  Yeah, sure.  I live here on the West Coast and this "organization" is from NY???

Got a call from this number at 1:27pm PDT.  Checked the area code and thought it odd that I'm getting a call from New York but thought it might be a cell number.  I did a reverse lookup, and it's a land line.  I'm glad I checked this site before calling them back.  I'm on the West coast and haven't applied for anything in New York or on the East coast, but I do have my resume posted on a few sites.  Employers don't need SSN until they offer you a position and run a background check, and then, they have you sign a consent form.  No way they need that for verification during a search.

I have been seeking employment. I am betting people are taking advantage of the economy and job seekers in need of employment.

Got a call last night at 5:00pm and this morning again at 9:00am.  Called back and was put on hold for employment verification.  I immediately hung up.  I live in Florida and this call was from New York....the call from last night was out of D.C. 202-591-2221.  I have never posted my resume online and have found a job.  Not sure what this is all about...if they are asking for SSN that is a red flag for a scam.  I have never put my SSN on a jobsite or my resume.  BEWARE!

Received a call from these folks today. A Jessica mentioned that she was from Career Network, and that they had  been trying for awhile to contact me regarding an employer. Did not return call either.
I believe they attempt to scam people who are registered publicly on resume sites, and they attempt to acquire your social security number as part of of a subversive scheme to get your personal information saying it was for an employer.
