I have reported OFFICER MARK COOPER to the FBI, FTC and my local Attorney General!  
And I'm not done with this bi***! Everyone join in......I will be pranking their phone everyday he calls. Found a great app! BRING IT ON BI***!

Spoke to two people with thick indian accents asking for an employee who filled out an online payday loan application. Said she had three charges pending against her. I told him he was right but not for pay day loans. When I told him I was going to have a nice big steak for lunch if he could spell scam artist he said "I'm not your father's servant." I told him that's not an insult in this country "MARK COOPER."

DO NOT PICK UP CALLS YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE!  this call automatically goes to  "voice message" when you don't answer.  It is a major pain because they'll call in the early morning hours.  I've reported it to the NDNC government site.

Come on people....Please watch the news. This BS is calling all over the country and trying to get money. He presents himself not only as a NYPD, By an officer all over the country. Don't you wonder why the people calling can not even speak proper English. They are all from India, Parkistan, an on, and on.......

i got the first call on octuber 2012. i didn't paid mind to it. today they call my job saying that they have a file number which they gave me and they wanted to speak to my lawyer. That my ss# is no good and that im going to be sue.If i'm going to be sue the will send me a letter from the law firm. Don't have me writting down this information or sending me a email.

my girlfriend just got this from "officer james campbell" and it was a woman speaking, I wonder if they know, that making threats like that, over a phone, is a federal felony

I have received this number today on my cellm phone and he also called where i used to work. I called back and ask for him. he hung up in my face and said you are going to jail. this person needs and will be stopped.  Beware its a dirty game. He has just been reported.

I have also received several calls from 646-396-1826..i have ignored the calls and do not answer them since i do not recognize the number and have had voice messages stating their is a case file against me. I know that the message is a fraud but it is starting to become very annoying and frustrating.

Got a similar call to the others. This guy claimed to be a Federal officer from the Credit Bureau of Investigation. Said I had a fraudulent Internet loan from Cash Advance USA Advance America. Threatened me with arrest. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about, that it sounded like a hoax, and hung up. He called back immediately three times. Left message the last time which was hard to understand but part said I would be arrested at my place of business. I'm turning this over to the FBI.

My g/f just received the same call from someone called James Campbell saying she had an affidavit against her name & ssn. She called them back and he said there is a cash advance company filing a complaint against her and that she can pay 1900$ or go to court and pay 9000$. She has never used a cash advance place. They also had her work # although she denied that it was the correct #.

yes these people are fraud . They keep calling my house and my cell number because I was stupid enough to give them my number thinking that I was doing the right thing! and yes they just called my phone 44 times back to back.  What bill collector calls your phone that many times know matter what you owe!   yess this is a scamm!!!!

I've did some looking in this number, and it is a fake the United States Attorney General Office is looking into this. I've saw online that Colorado State Attorney General says that the call maybe coming from over seas using somekind of robo calling system.

I have received threatening phone calls from a gentleman who claims to be Officer James Campbell.  He has called my home and work and has threatened me with prison and stated he is going to send a letter to my work telling them that I am going to jail.  I have told him repeatedly to stop calling and to put me on the do not call list.  I have made several complaints to the Attorney General as well as my local police department.  I hope this gentleman gets caught but I know he won't because he changes his number very often.  This gentleman claims to have my address to my home and all my contact information as well as my social security number.  This is very scary.

Same here. At least I use to get these calls.  I downloaded a free phone app called "Call Control" LOVE THIS! It blocks all unknown, & unwanted calls and text. Awesome blocker. I totally recommend!!

I to got one of these calls saying im going to jail if I dont pay them,that I took out a pay day loan  I never got a loan I filled out a form  but they refused me so they have all my information except I gave them a pre payed card number. In stead of my real account number thank god.

This is such a distrubance! Who calls from the sheriffs department threatening to arrest someone on their job. I am about to block this fools number.

Fraud... claiming he is a police officer and threatening that if I don't call him back I will be sporting black and white behind bars. such a joke! Then they call back again same guy with eastern indian thick accent and his name is now something else. First it was Matthew Scott, then it's Peter.

Whatever... Police don't call you on the phone about a case and threaten you will go to jail.

I had the same message as meme.  Be careful this person has all of your information  and can't provide any information about himself,

I received a voicemail at my job from this number. The man stated that his name was Officer James Campbell and that he was with the NYPD and has a warrant for my arrest. I called him back he provided me with all of my information and stated that I had to pay $450 today or I would be arrested at my job. I asked him for his badge number and a case number that he could not provide. He then stated I had until tomorrow to make a payment or go to jail.
