Same number. Will not pick up said hes out of town. Wanted to buy my kijiji product for sale.
Made a bogus paypal email and asked to be transferred $210 for shipping first and then he will send me $2000 + for the product. Too many details to list. Be weary of these type of scams.

Sorry to say...Unfortunently folks there is nothing we can do about this...with these english speaking t**** heads making calls from India, they are not made to follow any type of collection law.  Sit back, relax and enjoy the empty threats and have some fun in the process....Ask them what color towel is keeping their head warm, ask them what flavor slurpy they enjoy most, what 7 11 location their father works at in the U.S. or maybe how much the paid for  the rosetta stone cd sets.

I just heard from the same "Kevin Miller" at my job too. I believe they tried to call my cell phone but I didn't answer as the phone number was 10000. He told me the same bs and tried to threaten me. So, knowing this was some kind of scam, after he read off his whole schpiel, I told him I was impressed by how well he spoke and read english. Then I asked him why did his mom name him Kevin Miller instead of Deepak Chopra. He got mad and told me to not worry about his name because it would not help me in my situation. So I pretended to get concerned again and asked if he could read the "charges" they had against me again. He said that I should have my attorney call them in the matter. He then asked if I had any questions and I said no and just don't ever call me again.

Received a call from my old employer stating that a Kathleen Rucker had called for me.

I just received the same message.

Just recd call from a Kathleen walker tried to sound American but Heavy Indian accent. needed me to call or my Attorney to call.  Was advised if she did not hear from me then good luck as the situation unfolds. Caller ID # 0000

I received a call at work stating the same information everyone else was told.  My person was "Kevin Miller" with a thick Indian accent.  After googling the phone number and confirming that it was a scam I called "Kevin Miller" and told him that I knew it was a scam and not to call me or my job again. When I commented on his American name and heavy accent he tried to cover it up. This is the second time in 1 month this has happened to me.  I previously reported this to the FBI because the last time I was told agents will be at my office in 30 minutes to arrest me.  I was told this by my Administrator who received the same call I did.  I will now report this to the FTC.  How do they get our information?

I got woken up by this call from this number,646-397-8528.. threatening about court, arrest, judge, and money i owe,.. yes do have a THICK Indian Accent and very rude,... they  even gonna sue my employer,...
yeah scary part is they have know the last digit of SS# and where i work....

I got on from Nathan same thing, 2 days in a row and I could hear a dog barking in the background!

This lowlife called me too, phishing for my social security #, saying he was from the departmen tof corporate affairs, there were three counts against me and who is my attorney, blah blah blah. Offered to read the "affidavit" (not the summons, not the criminal complaint, not any valid document) against me.
Said his name was "Nathan Brown."  I asked from which law office he is from.  Also, he has an Asian accent.

I have also received a call from Kevin Jones telling me that I needed to call him on this time sensitive matter or all he could do was to "wish me good luck as this situation unfolds" if he did not hear from me or my attorney of record.  When I called back I was told that I had 20 minutes to figure out how I would be paying $1934.28 today or a judgement would be filed against me on behalf of Robert Ross Attorneys in Washington State. This is after he verified my employer, the last 4 of my social, and my home address. They could help stop my case from going to the courts with the help of the legal document called "OOCR" but he couldn't tell me what it stood for.  hmmm...... never heard of it!  When I called back in 10 minutes to ask who the law firm was again I was told DCA Law Firm. Once the person that I had originally talked to called me back I was told Robert Ross again. Since Kevin Jones could no longer help me and good luck with the court system, if I called back in a half hour then I could receive my court case id #.  When I called back an hour later, and I stated my name, they hung up on me.  I then called right back from a different number and gave a false name (SHAME ON ME!!) and got Kevin Jones who actually gave me a case id # but couldn't tell me the county in which they had filed, stated only that it was up to the judge on record to make that decision.  HELLO?? You need to file in a county!    I called Robert Ross Attorneys (a valid bankrutcy lawyer!) and was told that no they haven't heard of me and that they are not sure how they get their information to use, but it is not the first time.   I am reporting them to the FTC most definitely!  We all should!

Received call from 'Kathleen Walker' - she had an accent but not as thick as the callers I've talked to previously. I told her the person she was looking for wasn't in right now so she asked me to take a message and have (me) call her. Gave me this phone number and said she was with DCA? Law Offices. I've been receiving similar calls from various numbers for over a year. It is always the same 'script' when they leave a message about needing to hear from me or attorney and wishing me luck as the situation unfolds. The amount of the supposed pay day loan is always different as is the 'settlement' If I ignore them they will have me arrested. I have recorded a couple of these conversations and have them saved on my phone. The fact that the law office & number are always different shows its a scam. If I had that many unpaid pay day loans out I would never have been able to get the recent 'title' loan that I do have. They have called my work and I have instructed my coworkers to simply tell them I no longer work here. These calls are a nuisance and I have reported them to local authorities eventhough I know there isn't anything that can be done short of changing my name, phone number, employer, & social.... not gonna happen. I feel for anyone that has fallen for this scam and actually paid them money-- some along the way must or why would they continue?

Keep getting calls from this number.  Again, thick Indian accent and they speak very poor English.They use American sounding names like "Kathleen Walker".  Won't tell me what the supposed "debt" is for - the only want my credit information.  They either get very nasty on the phone or hang up when I try to get information from them.  Complete scams - I think they buy information and are working from a call center in India.  DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!!  I reported them to the FTC.

By the way, owing someone money is a civil thing, not a criminal one.  The police would never get involved in something like this and you don't need to worry about them picking you up.

This guy has called me the last two days. I don't answer because the ID shows up as 0000. Very heavy accented man who says he needs me or my attorney of record must call him. He goes on to say that if I do not then all he can say is "good luck, as the situation unfolds" on me. It kind of funny. I tried calling the number back and the person that answered the phone says "Hello Law offices" not law offices of.... just "Law Offices" when asked for his address he says he is in Washington, though his number shows up as coming from New York.

The funny thing is yesterday his name was Kevin Jones, today he said it is Joshua Jones. I've called the FTC (1-877-382-4357) and filed a complaint. You Should too. It only took me maybe 5-8 minutes. The more people file reports the more it will help to shut this scammer down.

This is a scam - they get your info if you've ever filled out an application on line for a payday loan. I've received calls like this as well sporadically over the years. They say that you never paid back a loan and if you don't pay them "x" amount you will be arrested etc...i have found the easiest way to get rid of them, at least for a while, is to just ask them for their # and say that you'll have to call them back. Then google the # & you'll see all the posts against that # and you'll know it's a scam. NEVER confirm any information. They all have eastern accents and they tell u their name is "smith" or whatever american name they use. I had a guy tell me his name was Michael Bolton.........LOL

Receievd a voice mail from "Richard Smith".  He had a very thick foreign accent but gave no indication as to what company he was calling from.  He said that either me or my attorney should contact him as soon as possible and if we didn't then "Good luck to me".  Whatever.  I'm not scared of you.  Anyone have an address info so I can send a cease and desist letter?

I just received a message from "Richard Smith" with a very thick foreign accent.  When he spoke, his sentences were very broken.  He wanted to hear from me or my attorney and then wished me good luck if I don't contact him back.  Anyone have an address for this guy so I can report him?

I just got the same phone call.  People from advance america cash advance talking about me owing them 5k for a pending lawsuit.  Second time in the last year or so i've gotten a phone call about this.  If it were true i would think they would have sent something to me in the mail, and i've not gotten anything like that in the mail.

got another call from some guy of eastern accent saying his name was kevin miller telling me they are filing a law suit against me and contacting my employer. wants me to get a criminal attorney and get ready to pay over 5k!

This person is a scam artist.  They call to inform you that you owe some fictitious loan and to warn you that they are about to take you to court or have you arrested for non payment.  The person I spoke to claimed his name was Joe Cole and had a thick Eastern accent.  These people use scare tactics to get you to repay these non existent loans.  Scary thing is that they have access to your personal information like place of employment, Social security number and address !!  I reported the matter to the Federal Trade Commission.
