Someone called my business line and asked for me personally. I knew it was some sort of autodialer - since I use my first name in my greeting.
It was some scammer from India with a heavy accent that I could not understand other than the fact he asked for by my formal name. I told the ***hole that the person was no longer here. I could not understand what he was asking me from that point on which meant he heard a big loud CLICK in his ear.
There are lots of scams out there and many of them are coming from outside the US thanks to VOIP. It is so cheap for these animals in these seedy back ward countries (read: India for one) to call into the country with a spoofed caller ID to prey on hard working Americans who are having a very difficult time making ends meet in this economy.
