He called making threats of a serious nature, this is a scam artist in India, probably working for a collection bureau, has stolen consumer data.

this guy is crazy he called my cell phone multiple times i blocked him from this number then he began calling my job he threatened to get me fired from my job then disconnected the call.  When I called back the message states teh Magicjack customer I am calling can not be reached lol LOL LOL LOL

Our company received a call about one of our employees and it was Officer William Scott out of New York and with the Federal Crime Investigation. We called the number and spoke with Mr. Scott who claimed that as long as this employee paid $340.00 today that they can close the case and he would not be arrested. They wanted this employee to go to a Walmart and get a "Money Back Card" and then call them back with the 14 digit #. Then when we questioned how it was that there were no options to mail a check or none of their address information we were transfered to a Mr. Walker. He then claims that this was a debt from a Pay Day loan that was taken out and needed paid today or our employee would be arrested. We questioned this because the first story was that there were crimes violated and now it was because of a pay-day loan. We questioned this even more and eventually they knew we caught onto them and then hung up on us.

This is a total scam and if you really question them on who they are, where they are located and what this is all about they will fold up and hang up on you.You should request they send you proof of what is is you did in writing via mai land don't give them your address and tell them to send it to your address on file since they know everything about you anyway. These people are not very smart.

I have an Indian accent guy called Scott Williams threatening me and calling everybody at my job...telling bad things and intimidating me,,he got all my info..He is really bad trying to get money from me!!!

Recieved this same message, From an officer Williams. I just let him get through his little speach, then started asking questions like who the debt was from, when the initial transaction was taken out, how much the orginal transaction was, when the deposit date was, where his office was located and the address and phone number where I could reach him.

All those things are parts of information that any reputable debt collecter not only knows but is forced to tell you by federal law. Just don't be rude and kill them by asking for more info then they can give they will hang up on you.

Received two voice mails from East Indian sounding man, indicating his name was   Office William Scott from the Federal Crime Investigation Dept.  646-434-7632.  Indicated I was to call him back immediately about a legal complaint against me of which he has a legal affidavit.  If I do not call he will take action.
I contacted local sheriff's dept. and reported the call.  It's a scam call.  I called and left message. Voice mail said I reached MagicJack and to leave a message.  I left message informing I was contacting the County Sheriff and FBI and that I would need his badge number and address so these agencies can contact them to discuss any issues.  I also said that if he could not provide this on my voice mail, then to not call anymore.

i got the same message, office scott, he got very upset when i told him not to call my cell or office number again, said if i do not send him money on my loan i will lose my job. stated he was from a criminal investigation agency.

officer scott rudely calling my job asking my personal info about a loan. Demanded money and to speak to my boss to fire me if I did not pay. Harrasment is all this guy is doing. soliciting for money!!

I have received a call from several different numbers about a loan that I know I have never applied for but request repayment to settle, other times they want a lawyers name.  I have contact my local police department, I have also notified the FTC and the states attorney general.  I am keeping a log of this scam but the numbers keep changing. And also I have change my number and they have gained access to my new number.  This is very annoying and really its getting a bit old. I need a way to get these scammers to stop harassing me.

They are scammer, just  became down and talk to them nicely and ask them what their address, they will hang up on you for asking address. If tell you your social security just be ignore like you dont know and dont tell them it correct, dont give them your personal information. Only thing you just ask them what is their address and they will hang up on you. Dont be scare, real investigation is not call you for some case on file, they will send letter to notify you first if you not answer or reply back in 10 days they will come to get you. Only scammer is scare you so they can get money.

Received a call at work from officer Scott (indian guy). When I called the number back, the number said to leave a message. He told my work that I had wrote bad checks and I have not.

Caller first referred to himself as a Federal Crime Investigations Officer William Scott and wanted to be transferred to an individual (who does not work in the office).  Even after telling him that I can't get a hold of the that person, he insisted that I transfer and even go to the individuals house and give him the message.  This rude man (with an Indian accent) called back the next couple days and made many threats of arresting me, shutting our business down, cussing, and even threatening to send his men over to blast us all because I would transfer a call.  I did call the FBI and local police and reported the stream of events regarding this highly disturbed individual.

Called me today.  Called my employer cursing 4 different people and also cursing me.  Very rude.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

i received a call from him also saying his name is officer wiklliam scott from the crime division and i need to contact him right away as soon as i get the message and if i dont he is not to blame for the things that will unfold on me and told me there was nothing he can do but wish me a good day i did not call him back but i saved the message said he was from fbi he called my bfs cell phone and left the message on his phone not mine and it is a government cell phone my bf has

I received a call @ work from a Officer Scott (Indian dude) stating I had got a loan via the internet. I asked information about the date of loan and the account and my social #. He got mad, rude (told me I was going to jail) and requested to speak my supervisor.

Same guy called me impersonating an Officer William Scott. I was very upset because he stated my SS# and then my home address and threatened me with "severe consequences" if I did not respond immediately to the call. I am going to have an officer listen to the message. There has to be SOMETHING that can be done to stop this person and his affiliates!

I got a call also.  His name was officer William.  He said that there is a legal complaint against my name, & that the police are involved.  He was rude also.

Same guy is bothering me, but says his name is Officer scott.

Also received a call from this guy-very rude. It is a scam-not much I am told can be done, but very annoying.

This same guy Troy has been calling my employer and my cell.  I have not answered the phone for numbers I dont know.  He was very rude to my employer and insisted on talking to me.  I had a voice message this past Wednesday and he threatened to have police show up at my job and home, he said he has my social security number and I had better call this number and not disregard this message or he will be my worse nightmare.  I reported this to the police and let them listen to the message he left.  However, they can't do anything unless he would do physical harm or if I had given them money, then they can do something for fraud.  The police recommended reporting to the credit bureaus to put a fraud alert on my account in case they try using my social security number.  Apparently, they are doing this to many people.  Originally, they wanted me to put $150 on a green card and call them with the number.  I did not, nor did I get a loan from them.  Other names used is Frank Wilson and James White.  This last guy was using name as Troy Dickson Or Frederickson hard to understand, definitely sounded like an Indian accent for all these names.  It very well could be the same person.  Notice these are American names; therefore, they are not giving their real name.  Another number I received calls from with these people or person is 305-222-7708.

My friend received a call from "Troy Dickens" claiming he was from the FBI and unless she settled the debt, the FBI was coming to get her the next day.  As above, he had an accent and was extremely rude, insulting, and insistant.  I will be contacting our local FBI office to report the use of their name, give them this phone number.

I received a call from this number on my job from a Troy Dickson(Indian Guy) stating that I was in default of my loans and that I could pay the original amount of the loan and be free of any litigation,or take my chances in court a possibly face jail time and still have to pay a totalt of 6,784. He was very rude he could not tell me the date of the loan. Once I asked where do I send payment he proceeded to tell my by western union or money gram...... (most legitiment business handle transactions via debit or credit card) when he realized I was not going to send the money he got upset and hung up. This is something that I will be taking up with my local police seeing that he called me o my GOVERNMENT job.

I got a call from this number this morning. He has an India/indian accent and is rude, foul-mouthed, insulting, and insistent. This time his name was Troy Dickson.

He says that I have not paid on outstanding loans and that he needs my lawyers fax number to send him the documents representing my pending arrest, Supposedly the police are going to be pounding down my door the following day. I told him I knew that this was a scam and he started cursing at me and called me a criminal. The original call came from 17606248037. I have had a few calls from that number and it is the same voice. I have initiated reverse phone searches on teh 760 number and am waiting for a Tracer report to help identify these people. I will also do that for this new number.
I told him that I have reported these calls to Verizon and the police and he hung up.
