this is a fraud alert who would ever think of selling something to someone who refuses to identify themselves.

He wanted my camera for nigeria a***ole im reporting him right now to the rcmp anti fraud center i'm gonna find out who this man is and send him a pile of s*** as a thank you

Hey guys thanks for your help... I'm selling my Xbox and Rockband thru kijiji and this guy "Tim" texts me.. Asks the condition and how cheap I'll go... I asked how much he would be willing to spend he replied with ill pay the asking price and pay thru pay pal... I googled the number and knew right away this was a scam as I had a problem like this years ago selling an iPod touch... Now I'm just toying with this guy and drag this out.. Lol I asked him where I was gonna have to ship to, and he said PayPal will give me the address, so I asked him how the weather was in west Africa this time of the year... Waiting for a response

I was approached by this gentleman two days ago about buying my Blackberry Bold via paypal andoffer an addition $200 fro shipping. He claimed he's from New Youk as a pastor and wanted to send this phone to his son in Nigeria  doin missionary (heart warming I know). BIG red flag there!! But since Paypal is secured I figured I'd investigate.

As it turns out the emails appearing to be from PayPal stating the money has been withdrawn from his account are fake and they state that once the tracking number is received and sent to this @paypal.intl email account the fund will be released to your paypal account. And effectively what you're doing is paying to ship your own goods to this a***ole! Thankfully (although it should have never even gotten this far) I contacted PayPal directly via phone and they confirmed they had never sent a confirmation email and they do not ship to Nigeria. At which point I cancelled the invoice, threatened to call the police and never heard from this guy again.

This guy is still up to the same tricks. Same story he had in April! From Africa and wants to buy my camera. Will pay $200 extra for shipping. For a $100 used camera! Amazing that he still figures someone would believe him. Heaven forbid that someone would. Why doesn't someone shut this guy down?

Glad I did a quick search for this number. I have two more numbers texting me right now as well. They are all Google Voice numbers.

FREE TIP: Do not ever make a sale from Kijiji or craigslist unless you see the person face-to-face.

This number also replied to my Kijiji ad and said "Can you ship the item to Western Africa Nigeria, I will be offering you an additional payment of $100 for the shipping and other fee, you can send me your paypal money request to my email address at steveluison@gmail.com so I can make the payment for you asap". I said you're in Africa right now? Since I noticed he had a NY area code. He said no but I need to send it to someone there. I said sorry, I only make local calls but you can fly up from NY to Canada and pick up the item yourself if you want it so badly and then ship it off to Africa yourself for your fiancee. He will probably be confused as to how I already knew that was part of his "story". All he said was "Alright thanks........" and left me alone. Thanks to the people who wrote out what happened to them!

I just posted my furniture ad on Kijiji today and this is the second scam txt I have rec'd.  This guy txt me from this number and said he's not in town but, is moving in with his family and wants to surprise them with my furniture.  I'm about to txt him back and tell him to take a hike!  Thanks guys for the heads up

Actually planning on doing a reverse scam on this person if it works if not Oh well he wants my dr dre head phones so when he wires me the money via paypal i will just attempt to withdraw to my bank account right away

i received text from him saying he wanted the laptop i had on kijiji and hed pay an extra 200 for shipping to western africa nigeria. told me to email him at steveluison@gmail.com so hecould send payment right away. I proceeded to ask why he wanted a laptop all the way from ontario canada he said bc he was in new york but his fiancee needed one bad.....lamest excuse i ever heard i told him no thanks, he waited 2 days and texted me again, i said i know he was trying to scam me and i was reporting him to the police and have not heard from him since

Had the same thing happen to me. I didn't make a sale with them however I am a bit confused and scared. They have my number and email.

This number texted me as a reply to a cell phone I am selling on Kijiji and my local classified website. They claim that they will send you the money via PayPal and help you set up an account. The number is from New York. I also received a text from 1-646-820-9643. When I typed that number into Google it lead me to this site. These people will not transfer you money. As I read on the other posting, they will send you a fake confirmation in hopes that you send your item to them. Fortunately, I did not agree to deal with them and said I would sell locally. When I asked them if they knew about this site warning people not to deal with them, they said yes, they knew. They simply don't care.

Be careful and DO NOT trust this number!!
