I got a text from this number saying "Hi Patrick!" When I asked who it was i got no response.

The same just happened to me and its freakin creepy. It only happens when I use yahoo.

Got a text from (302)544-9988 and they asked if i used yahoo and gave me their username of txtiegirlie. Pretty creepy.

I got text yesterday and when I asked who it was they asked me to I'm them at texgirly27! When I asked if they knew me ...that's when I got reply of ... My iPhone is dieing!  That's too crazy creepy! How did this person get MY NUMBER AND KNOW MY NAME! Someone please tell me what's going on! One if my friends she got same type of text yesterday too! But I'm info was to the flirty???

I got a text from this number and they said hey sarah I texted back who is this and they said do you use Y! Messenger?  If so message me Txtgirly905 so I did and there was no response on yahoo.  And so I texted again who is this and then I got OMG my android is about to die

I got the message "hello Alex???"
I don't know how they know my name, but it's damned creepy. i was supposed to add txtflirty62 on Yahoo Messenger.

Got a text from this number. Hi T***??? When I texted back it depends on who's asking, I got a reply back saying Hahaha if you wanna know, you have to add me on yahoo messenger. my id is textflirt9. I then replied sorry don't know who you're looking for, have a good day. I haven't gotten a response back. Such BS

I got no reply either.
Maybe they just need any confirmative reply to use your info to scam you some other way...

Got a text from this number  - "hello Kristopher!"
Somehow they knew that my name is spelled with a "K" not a "C", and my full name is Kristopher.  I typically use Kris for any C/L or Ebay ads I post.

I replied with "And you are?"

Then got "Haha if u wanna know who this is you got to add me on yahoo msger, my id is textgirly42"

My reply "Sorry, I'm too old for silly games."

No additional response after that.

I do NOT use Yahoo Msgr, so I do not know why someone would request me to contact them there.  After reading some info on this site, I believe this is a phishing scam.  Not sure where they got my info, but chances are they are compiling a list of valid numbers for a call list.  I am on the Federal do not call list, so if additional calls/texts start pouring in I will file complaints there.

I got the same text, I replied with you got the wrong person. Then I got "haha if you wanna who this is u got to add me on Y! msger, my name is textieflirty35" Yeah... that's not gonna happen I don't even use Y!.

This person texts once with specific names but never replies. I believe its spam on account of how many reports there are to this number. Please delete or block it.

Someone from this number text me last night, "Hola Mary". When I rsponded this morning, "Do I know you? I don't recognize the number" I never got a reply! How do people get my number and how can I keep from people getting it????
