CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT  .... Anybody?   The Wilkes-Barre, PA and surrounding areas, I am on the National DO NOT CALL list, these folks have violated this Act of 2003 which clearly defines what is and what is not prohibited.  Harassment by telecommunications is a crime and is easily traced by subpeona the phone records of incoming calls by your own telephone company!!!  This is easily a winning case, and most likely would be settled out of court rather quickly.  

I need at least 10 people

who have received such nuisance calls

repeatedly day and especially after 6pm

and they are on the Do Not Call list for at least 30 days.

Also, if you had told the caller / telemarketer to stop calling you,

but they continued calling... each person would receive between $1000. and $2500. each.

My unlisted number too.

They called my unlisted number and I heard voices in the background. After I said "Hello" a few times, the caller hung up.

Now when they call the announce that they are from the Department of Criminal Investigation and that the social security number is under investigation, the call from the 646-461-6133. So then when I told him that I will contact my local police with this number, he hung up.

Thank you for Maggies number. I have been having the same calls and this time they called me by name I then hung up because that is scary. I did report it and they said it is under investigation. DO NOT GIVE that crazy number ANY info about yourself.

I keep getting calls from this number no one will talk. Getting very tired of this.

Just made the call and was put in touch with her Executive Assistant. Told her the problem and they should look into this.

Just got this call again for the 3rd time in as many days. I think Pam's idea above is best, I will be calling the CEO's office momentarily.

I have received two of these calls which, not being able to identify the caller, I did not answer.
Others here have stated these calls as coming from Frontier.  If that is the case, the phone number for Frontier's corporate offices is:

Ask to speak to someone in CEO Maggie Wilderotter's office and tell them you appreciate an end to the aggravation.

The same thing happens to me. (4x in two weeks) Any one know where to report this?

I have been getting so many hang ups from these people... They must be on piece work and the more calls they 'make', the more they get paid?  
Only once did they leave a message on my machine while I was at work and it stated it was Frontier Communications and we want to tell you about our newest services that we are offering....
Since then, it has been hang ups.  Never got a person to actually talk to me about  their new 'deals'... Funny though, I just changed my plan with them 2 months ago, I'll bet they want to sucker me into another 3 year contract..NOT!
Pay as I go anymore, no contracts with them, that's for sure.
Maybe they are worried about the competition and want to lock you into their service only??  Fat chance, too many cell towers around now to even need a landline!

Got the same call from 646-461-7631 with the wacky name in the screen. Called it and it was Frontier calling to tell me about their new features. They give you the option to get on the Do Not Call list which I did. However, it can take up to 30 day. Let's see how many more calls I get in the next month!!!

I'm glad to know I'm not crazy - I have been getting calls from these people all month long- sometimes several a day... the caller ID has that crazy NWYRCYZNO1
and I refuse to answer it - they let it ring until the answering machine kicks on, and then hang up, never leaving a message.  Looks like to me that there would be somewhere we could report this...

Got the call, you say hello and then you hear noise in the background. So I just hung up .......

I agree about getting numerous calls -- today three by noon (I'm home today).  I finally did tracing.  The first time, after a second call this morning,  they took me to the wrong number (maybe because of the phone I was using).  The third time, I called again. Got a less-friendly/ less-patient guy.  This time the number was 464-461-7631.

I did tell the contact person that I did not appreciate calls, apparently from their telemarketers, in which no one says anything at all.  Either there is noise in the background or some music (same) kicks in.  When I have not hung right up, whoever has hung-up on me.

I am registering complaints wherever I can.  How can a communications company not communicate?

Me too...morning  and night....12 times in the past week...if I pick up I get a dial tone.  Misery love company...thanks for posting so I know it's not just me.

They rang a few times and hung up before the answering machine picked up.

Same here.  Just received a call from the same number.  I said hello a few times and they hung up.

I as well as the others here....seem to be getting the same. I answer the phone....hear noises and voices in background....I say hello...no reply...after a few seconds of this...they hang up. Very annoying

This is a setup by Frontier.  Far too coincidental.  On not first checking my incoming ID, I foolishly answered the phone on having a new # assigned (prior to registration w/national DNC).  The caller did not approve of my questioning exactly WHO they were and summarily hung up on me.  Ignore all calls from this number.
