I work for Senior Life Alarm. It's a total scam. 98% of the
people we talk to say they're on the national do not call
registry and received numerous calls. Sometimes
several times a day. I'm not sure of the particulars of
how the scam works as they don't tell us. But it's
obviously a scam when LITERALLY 98% of people I talk
to say they're tired of getting repeated calls.

The 2 call centers I'm familiar with are both in Orlando,
FL.

I don't know how they make they're money but they pay
8 dollars an hour for 0-11 deals a week, 10 a week for
11-20 and so on and so forth. They also offer 10 dollars
per deal in cash once you've made 3 deals in a day.

It's a very high pressure call center, which seems odd to
me. If what you're selling is legitimate and life saving,
you wouldnt need high pressure sales, very specific
scripts and cubicles lined with rebuttals to anything and
everything people can come up with to argue.

We have been getting their calls for weeks.  I finally pressed #1 to speak to a representative and told the woman we do not want them calling us anymore especially in the evening !  I told her I would take legal action if they continued to call us.  They called the very next day!  She did say they were located in Orlando, Fla.   I am now keeping a log of the calls.

I've been getting these call for several years.
This what I've found to be pretty effective.
I made a list of spam callers phone numbers and when one of them call, I answer with
AN INDIAN ACCENT AND SAY HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, AND I DO NOT INGAGE IN CONVERSATION WITH THEM. This drives them crazy and they hang up.
Mission accomplished! Then they put me on their DO NOT CALL LIST. !!!! I win.

Now, those call have dropped off a lot.
It works for me, Try it You'll like the results.

They keep calling after I've told them to take my name off their calling list. Very determined to get my credit card info or check routing numbers. They are offering thousands of dollars in coupons trying to get into peoples accounts. Don't let them in. They are not going to give you anything but headaches trying to get them out of your Senior Life.

I have asked this caller I do not want to be taken by a scam. I am a senior , but I am very informed about people trying to scam the elderly. I have asked them to take my name off their calling list but they keep calling. Their failure to comply with my request is going to cost them a huge fine. I will find the right agency to report them to.

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON?T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It?s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller,  but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.  Another smart person on this web site said to save it to your contacts as spam 1, then spam 2, etc. so you can just ignore the call.

ITS OUR LIFE AND WE NEED TO TAKE IT BACK.
One person said to call forward selective to the FCC whose number is 1-717-338-2533

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and what they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that but reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

Another company that is offering you a 'free' device similar to life alert. It's a scam. Life Alert does not make phone calls; you call them if you want their device. The call was at 11: 38 this A.M.
