Hear those words? "Western Union". That means 100% scam right away, no waiting. Western Union is a CASH money transfer to be used for family, and friends (real ones). Any suggestion that it be used for a loan, tax, gift, shipping, buying off the internet, any kind of fee, or any business deal at all, it's a scam.

I just got the same kind of messages from 'Richard'... lamdons4@gmail.com. He wanted to buy my motorcycle for his son as a promise gift, and was going to send a pick-up agent to come get it. He tried to send my paypal account $1,000 more then I was asking for the bike and said it was for Western Union charges to get the money to the courier service, he wanted me to take the $900 out of my account and sent it to the pick up service.... It's a total scam! I hope every one knows not to trust people, especially when dealing with people online.

Put a add on line yesterday got a text from this number:  still have it for sale Or sold?
I reply yes
He replied:

I will appreciate more pictures..I am ready to buy it now for my son as a surprise promise gift,And due to the nature of my work,phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted but I squeezed out time to check the advert and send you an email regarding it. i would be glad to pay for it as soon as possible though i will not be available to come for inspection due to my tight schedule.Kindly get back to me with the following.

When would you be picking up the _____ then
What would you like me to get you?
He replied:
Am satisfied with the price I will be buying this for the price you have listed it for.Payment will be sent using Paypal and i will handle the Paypal surcharge as well. I will arrange with someone to have this picked up for your location once i have paid as i am out of town at moment.in the meantime,can you send me more pictures and i will be glad if you can set up an account with Paypal is very easy and safe just log on

can't do that now what do you mean by Paypal charges I have never dealt with them on something like this? What kind of charges?
He replied:
Ok Kindly get back to me with your paypal info so that I can send the payment thanks

ok I googled you sir. Do yo still want to play games. Meet IRL or send your man with the cash to pick up the item. I meet in public places with at least 3 cameras recording your every move. I also will be sure to bring m concealed deadly weapon license with me as I believe you scam people all the time and I will not be your next victim. I am a good god fearing american that will always do what is right. When can your man be here to pick up the item. You in or out.

I got a similar TXT message about an item I was selling on Craigslist. I will avoid answering the request. Above is their message to me..

A person at this number responded to an ad I have on Craig's List.  They said they would pay in cash and due to some unforeseen problem, won't come and inspect the vehicle.  I did a Google search for this number and it came back as a "pirate radio online" out of Brooklyn, NY on Facebook!  When confronted with this information, the person on the other end, who incidentally has my phone number because they sent me a text message to it but wouldn't call it, tried to say they weren't able to call at that time due to work restrictions. I'm tired of wasting time with scammers!
