OMG samething happened with me. I got numbers straight in a row. They want to do via money transfer through online and wantinf me to ship to west africa for a celll phone. Beware! Its a scam.

Its same story I posted on kijiji for selling my cell phone and that caller text me offered me $180 with shipping fee and he wanted cell for his son. Also asking for pay pal account .. its scam beware from that person,

Thanks for everyone who posted about this phone/text number! It saved my friend from getting scammed! Same story, friend got text from 646-481-0089 re. her craigslist ad for a cell phone. They asked for a bank account number or a Paypal account. PLEASE BEWARE! Thankfully we googled the text number and read these posts! Way to be our own crime stoppers!!! Citizens unite!!!!!!!!!!

I also received a text from this person, also willing to pay over the amount. I stupidly have my Paypal acct and checked the number out after. Now I'm hoping nothing bad happens.

This number is related to a scam. He would not skype with us, because he is too much of a coward to show his face or further identifying information.

I have received a text from this # 646-481-0089 for a listing I posted on craigslist. This guy asked me for my paypal Account on the first text. He said he was willing to pay $100.00 dollars more than what I was asking. He wanted me to ship the item to his son. For that price he can buy it at the store. It just did not make any sense. SCAMMER

Just posted an item on Craiglist Chicago and got a text from this number. Glad i looked it up. He tried the same thing with me. He's overseas and wants to purchase item. Asked me to open a PayPal account in i don't have one. Total Scam. THanks to all who have previously posted

Guy has a NY number texting me from 646-481-0089 , asking about something I have listed on craigslist. Want to send me money thru pay pal and I ship It to Nigeria... Sounds like a scam, glade I searched this site first.

I just got a text from this person as well wanting me to set up a PayPal account so he can sen me money for an item I have on Craigslist. Has to be a scam. The item I have for sale is a cell phone case. Pretty sure you can get those in New York where this number is from.

Got a text message message from this scammer who wanted me to ship an item I advertised locally. The scammer was asking for my paypal account. WTF
