Well the scammer is still at it. He offered to buy a game system from my son. He stated that he would send $350 through PayPal, $250 for the system and$100 for shipping. He asked that it be express shipped to Nigeria and addressed to his son. He's still using the same dizzyjame08@gmail account but his phone number was from a 571 area code. Thankfully I called PayPal first to confirm.

I've heard of these scams before so I just googled the email " davepaul2012@gmail.com " and found this web page. I listed a pair of Gucci Shoes on craigslist and got a text saying he'll give me $350 thru paypal ( I'm asking for $250) to be shipped abroad. Glad I checked the web but wish these people could be tracked down because too many people fall for the scam.

He did change his name and the country from which he wanted the item he "bought" from me. However, I am not by any means dumb and I checked in with PayPal before shipping the item and, they told me it was a fake. Below is the information he tried to get me to use for shipping.
Beware he is still at it! I have sent the emails I received from him to PayPal and I will be following up with my local PD about this matter.

dizzyjame08@gmail.com  Googled his email and all of this info came up. I sent him a link and told him he should change his email if he wants to keep scamming people. Maybe this kind of thing could work on those that aren't tech-savvy or haven't used Paypal in their life. He is just one person, but I have gotten these kind of Paypal payment solicitations from many on Craig's List now. It's like talking to a woman on a dating site and knowing it's just some 14 year old kid in Nigeria.

I am selling a bed frame and brand new tempurpedic  mattress on craigslist. This number asked if i had a paypal account, which i don't, and was willing to pay the full asking price without asking a thing. I only want cash just to be safe because I have been scammed before, and this just seemed sketchy to me. He says he is from New Jersey, and keeps pushing the paypal thing, so I was worried about a scam. Glad I found this information first!!

I just got an offer from them to buy a car I have on Craigslist. They asked me if I had a PayPal account and I said no, I would only take cash because it sounded too suspicious since they were willing to pay the full price without asking any questions first. They finally stopped texting me when I insisted on Cash. Glad to hear I did the right thing.

I like how in your fake email, they say that they watch out for scams, that kinda cracked me up, but the fact too that a lot of people deal with PayPal and know what the emails look like these fellas must think they are dealing with dumb people, for starters like you mentioned they address you by name not email address, thank goodness they didn't take any of your money! And Craigslist sellers beware!!!

Safety Measures to Protect Both Buyer and Seller.

Dear: xxxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com

We have received an order from one of our customers (Micheal Jame) to make an instant payment of "$5,500.00 USD" to your PayPal account. The payment has been made successfully and the money has not been credited into your account. We are waiting for you to send the "$1000.00 USD" to the shipper (Sane Mataitusi) through Western Union Money Transfer before we can credit your account and this is due to the large increase in the rate of the online scams recorded last year (2011). We have changed some of our rules and regulation to make sure our clients (Seller and Buyer) are safe from scam, PayPal in conjunction with The FBI INVESTIGATION OFFICER has invented certain preventive measure to ensure the safety of both our seller's and buyer's in this Month.

1. Once a payment is made,A confirmation Email will be sent to the seller that the payment has been made to state the transaction details which has been sent to you. Also a confirmation is sent to the buyer that the money has been deducted from his or her account. So once you get this mail,You should send the money to the shipper immediately to the address that was given to you by PayPal and send the Western Union Information to Us.Once the Western Union Information gets to us, the seller's account will be credited instantly. But unknown condition will the Western Union Information be given to the buyer unless the seller's account is credited and likewise will seller's account be credited until we get the Western Union Information.

2. Once a payment is made and it has been approved by PayPal, such transaction is Sealed (because both seller and buyer must have come to a conclusion before payment is made by the buyer) so therefore neither the buyer or seller can cancel this transaction or ask for the returned to the buyer's account. Also, this is where we generate our income, because the more transaction made through PayPal, the more we generate our Income.

3. Failure to abide by these laid down safety measures by PayPal may leads to suspension from PayPal and further more invitation to an interrogation with the F.B.I So can you see we are very considerate about the safety of both buyer and seller.

**PLEASE NOTE**
This PayPal® payment has been deducted from the buyer's account and has been "APPROVED" but will not be credited to your account until you send the Western Union Information to us or email us through this mail Clientcomplaintservice@secureroot.com and our customer service care will attend to you. As soon as you send us the Western Union Information to us for security purposes and the safety of the buyer and the seller, the money will be credited to your account. Also our client has made a report he/she will not respond to your stimulation .

I hope you didn't give too much info. Besides if he has not paid yet and is paying through Paypal. Watch out. He is using a fake Paypal. Make sure to contact them right away if payment dose not go through. Because with the Real Paypal they will not withhold funds from you.

I have a car on Craigslist. On my post I had cell number. I recived a message from 646-481-3517. They asked about my car and decided they wanted to buy it. They however lived out of state and wanted to use Paypal in which to make payment. An hour or so went by they contacted me again saying that the company that would be shipping the vehicle would not except Paypal only accepted Western Union that they didn't have one near them. That could I kindly take care of it for them if they sent the money for it along with the amount for the car.
Long story short. I played along with them. Even mentioning this scam to them. Anyways I waited for the fake emails from "paypal". I then contacted the real Paypal and reported this guy.  His name ( I'm sure it was fake ) was  Micheal Jame and email account was (dizzyjame08@gmail.com).
Be careful out there.
