So this 646-XXX-XXXX number also messaged me on my cell within 1 hr of posting the add... i posted an add for laptop (old acer) at 12am. Funny that someone would reply at that time... especially if he is in Manhattan and i live in Canada????.... anyways same thing as everyone mentioned here... $350 for a $100 laptop... wanted me to ship it to Africa to his Wife's relative birthday blah blah blah..... if i didnt read this forum i would have sold it it anyways but just wanted to contribute to this forum and let future readers know to be aware...  "if its too good to be true it probably is:"......(plus you get charged for messaging)

I got sms from (843) 608-0748 for a car ad. Already got spam sms for a previous car a so this time I replied him the car will be awesome for his nephew in Africa to race after lions and zebras... I'll fill his phone of sms!

If u are suspicous just always call the number, if its a scam it will say google mail will try to connect you, he is sending the txts thru via email

Same thing for me he said for his relative doing HIV education in nigeria also wanted me to send it to 33 dosumu street, surulele, lagos, nigeria, 23401 expect he changed the number to 646-543-0764 and he also said he needs to do in on paypal duo to his "company credit card" i asked whats the name he said verve and i said what does the company do, no response, offered me 350$ plus 190$ to ship it for him and i put the camera up for 150$ hmmmmmmmm

Don't do it. This is a scam. Paypal payments are from hacked accounts and get pulled by Paypal admins in a few days.

He told me the same story. A gift for a pastor son in west africa and asking me to ship my laptop, and give them my bank details

Guys be careful their lame scammers what they want you to send the product before you even receive the money! Do not fall for this b***s***! Make sure to call PayPal everytime make sure there are no tricks! Do not send anything before you know you have the money!

hey every one who posted on this, i have read your posts and i have also got the person texting me, apperntly now they have left ontario and got a newyourk number but moved to califonia if you can believe that.  i kind of smiled and said that if yoyu cane see the phone im not mailing it.

Same thing: I posted on Kijiji, this clown tried to scam me by asking for the goods before he paid. Keeps texting me.

Samething here, Same number, he offered me $150 more from what I asked for an ad on craiglist, wanted me to send it to his daughter on Nigeria. He made a pending payment from paypal, a scam too. Because paypal writes to you with, Dear John Doe not Dear jDoe@yahoo.com. Because paypal knows your name he doesnt. He wanted the shipping expressed mail. When I asked him to send first the shipping money he said I included it already but its pending until you have the tracking number. Then I replied no shipping money no package. I asked him to call me to what he replied I can't now, my phone is banned. So I told him go scam someone else with your banned phone. You are dealing with the wrong guy I'm a police detective. Same day different one emailed me that its a gift for his pastor, both are scams

Lol, no I got the name Kimberly.  And it was for her son's bday on Oct 5th in South Aftrica.  Bunch of idiots trying to scam a dvd player lol.  Figured it's a scam so I replied saying will do it for $1000 cash to my address with no electronic transfers lol and will use part of that money to ship anywhere they want.  So far no replies back.  I don't expect any money coming my way anytime soon lol.

he text me like 5 minutes after my add was posted its a scam told him to send me money first thru email money transfer or thru western union and he refused to do that and he also offered me double what i was asking so its a total scam forsure

I posted à computer on kijiji today, within seconds I received a txt from someone calling themselves sonny, he offered me almost twice the asking price and to pay for the shipping if I would send this computer to his pastors son in west Africa, traced the number to a location in new York city, sounds like a scam, did anyone else get the name sonny??

Major SCAM! The same person is asking me to send something to africa for a girlfriend. Stay away from this number. Report them if possible.

Same thing. 646 481-5462. This # keeps texting me every 10 min after posting add on kijiji ,asking me to ship the item that i have for sale to there neffew in Africa for his birthday. Told them I don't have a paypal account and then the text back asking for my bank info so that they can send me out a bank draft, right away. Sounds like a scam to me. BE AWARE!!!
