I texted back and forth with him/her/them. Fishy?....just a little! I kept it going to see what they are up to. They would have liked me to process a credit card for 2300 so that I could pay his fees to the owner of a home so they will release the keys so I could get in to give an estimate. This is for a brand new home that is in Gig Harbor, WA...actually after calling the agent he mentioned...it's a freshly poured foundation and she'd never heard of this guy. Needs keys to his new foundation? He says he wants work done on this home before he moves in after his lung cancer surgery recovery...prior posts he seems to be hearing impaired. I think he is trying to run a stolen card and then get the funds payed to someone he knows through us. He gave me cc info and provided a billing address in IA.

We just had the exact same thing happen, except the house he said he bought was here in Illinois and he wanted us to do all the exchange of money to get the keys for the house for him then to paint it.  He also told us he was hearing impaired and would not answer any questions I asked.

This fellow just answered my home improvement ad with a text. Said he wanted me to paint two properties he owned in the northeast Florida area where I live. I tried to call but got some kind of weird voice mail. I texted him asking if he's still currently in New York and to please call me back. He texted again to say that he was hearing impaired. He said he just bought these properties and wants to relocate. I just politely told him we only do business with people currently living in our local area. I thought the whole exchange was a bit strange.
